Loved the experience. Entrance of the restaurant is great for some cool pics. Proper authentic South Indian food. Masala Dosa and sambar vada was great. Enjoyed it well. Ambience is good. Overall great experience for your morning breakfast.

Excellent food. Just *chefs kiss*.And nearly everything is inexpensive.This causes a huge commotion in the restro and you have to fight for a seat lol.Still the best restro Ive been to in Pondy. Ordered a chilly barotta and it was like heaven in my mouth.

Surguru restaurant... ₹₹ Indian vegetarian restaurant. Food taste average. Huge seating capacity. But in the French cultured city it’s tough for vegetarians to find much options. Most of restaurant offer very limited veg menu which makes Surguru a preferred choice.

This place is so authentic and welcoming. The meal we had was very satisfying. Amazing hospitality. And the food was tasty too. Perfect taste. They serve a mix of South Indian and North Indian cuisine.

I have been there last year in 2019 in the month of December with my family. Well, I am a pure vegetarian so we choosed this place for food. We have ordered One North Indian Thali in which includes tomato soup and ice cream. Apart from, ordered masala dosa and mix veg with rotis. If I talk about ambiance so it was good enough. Services were good. If I talk about food then it was super delicious. As we were from North India and I can say it is one of the best place in Pondicherry for North Indian vegetarians. Yes, you can visit this place. Lovely place. If in future Ill visit Pondicherry then Ill surely choose this restaurant again for us. Thanks

We went there to have dosa as it was rated highest (4.1) on google, but the reality is far from the reviews written on Google.Experience- Pathetic Food- Out of food (ille for most items, in our case only 3 were available)- Worst table service (asked for spoon never got 1)- We ordered masala dosa, masala was pathetic with half cooked potato.- Only the bill took no time to come- Restaurant manager is least bothered about u, once food is servedBetter explore small dosa joints and avoid going go to this place, phir bolna mat k humne bataya nai.

Second day at Puducherry, we visited this restaurant for dinner. Enjoyed best soft roti and vegetable kadai. Best service; very much clean and they have taken care the Covid rules appropriately. Restaurant has beautiful entrance too.

Taste is great.. but for every order you have to request them like atleast 10 times (including water)... Needs more patience... Management doesnt care about customer feedback...The person who takes order doesnt know the food availability... Better to go straight to kitchen and think what to order or should we walk out... More than 3/4th of time will be spent on waiting... Ofcourse the bill will be fast

Worst place to have food. I ordered Mushroom masala here and they gave me a dish cooked with old Mushrooms which were black and wrinkled, tasted bad and smelled bad. When i got it back to them, they admitted it was bad and gave the refund for it. Such a worst place to have food. These people knowingly cook bad food to their customers. I hope the food inspectors raid this place one day.

Too much of waiting time. Not much organised. Bcs of the crowd. The food is also not prepared well. If not the taste used to be excellent.Organizing it a little more better would make resturant unbeatable

The taste was absolutely good. But the experience was very bad .as we went on Sunday there is only two people serving the 100 people 20 table hall. Everybody was waiting for the food for atley 30 minutes. Getting food from the kitchen is very tedious . The servers also very much frustrated since there is so much customers to serve. Management pls take care of this .

I ordered Rava onion dosa, it was good.. But yeah full of Black peppers.. I dont understand what is the Obsession of Tamil Nadu with Black peppers.Their size of plates and Dosas are bigger than usual.They have Hindi speaking staff for non Tamilians.Over all it was a good experience, go on a weekday to avoid crowd.

Our experience at Surguru was a bad one. Taste is Fine but hospitality and staffing very worst. This is the first time I am hearing from a hotel manager, Sorry, We cant take any orders. Really a bad experience. So I recommend if you wanna dine in at Surguru pls be there at least one hour before thats what happened today for us.

If you want to have authentic South Indian food in Pondicherry along with good quality and cleanliness, this is THE place to go!One star less because post pandemic the quality of food has dropped significantly. My dosa was not crispy at all and even the sides were below average.

They take their customers for granted, served us sour and stale chutney, when complained they gave new chutney , they had the fresh chutney but chose to serve us the bad one.....they never admitted or said sorry for serving rotten chutney...Will never visit this restaurant again..

South Indian and North Indian food are available here. Best pick is their Special meals which is South Indian meals + soup + ice-cream. North Indian meals is not that extravagant though it also comes with a soup and ice-cream. The ambience at this hotel is good.
