Best place for quick goan bites and reasonably priced.
I love their version of prawn rissois and bibinca. The rissois are a Portuguese or perhaps Portuguese inspired preparation that’s like this crescent shaped prawn pocket. Extremely tasty. One can easily polish off 4 to 5 of these easily. And the bibinca is not to greasy and overly sweet. Just perfect. They also make this sponge cake which is layered with chocolate cream, again something that not too sweet. They have so many other products, yet to try them all. I’ve tried croquettes, and also potato chops which are these mince meat filled potato cutlets. These are good but not rissois level good. And I got samosas here on two different occasions, but dry both times. The restaurant is nice and had a very simple setup. The outside is very unassuming. The staff is nice and is wearing a mask at all times. Hand sanitizer is at the door. They don’t do temp check which is not mandatory I think I Goa. Plus people pick up stuff here and are in and out quite quickly.Oh and did I mention I am a fan of their Rissois ☺️
Excellent stuff. Homely ambience. It has always been like this, as far as I remember.
Everything is very addictive. From savories to dessert... Chocolate butter cake is the bestest.
Everytime I visit Goa, I have to visit this place. Love having Bibinca from here. The owner is super friendly and welcoming.Do visit.
Still the same amazing nostalgic mouthwatering treats... And Ive been visiting for nearly 40 years now...
This place is amazing. Their bebinca, lemon cake short bread jammies are amazing
Lovely little cafe in the heart of Panjim in its centennial year.
Great service.I walked in, asked for an assortment of Goan sweets to take back home to Bangalore and the really nice woman there helped me pick out the classics. She walked me through what each sweet was, and how to keep them fresh enough to endure my travel home.
A nice place to stop by & have a little something traditional & a cup of coffee, dont expect some barista type stuff but its good all the same & take back some goodies.
My go to place at Panjim for traditional goan snacks and their coffee from machine. A famous, well known bakery
Excellent snacking optionsGreat ambience, food and people. I especially loved the croquettes.
Vintage cafe store will complete 100 yrs. Must visit to see true Goa
Lovely bebincaA goan speciality
Loved their new and uniquely available, Squid chops and Kokum Sherbet slush. Also not forgetting the great service by Nathan himself.
Just wasted our time by visiting here. Nothing interesting here .
It was the worst experience in a cafe. I went to mr bakers expecting warmth and welcoming attitude like every other place in goa. But the woman at the cafe was extremely rude, and taunting woman. When asked for bill she made a face, and unwillingly wrote the cost of our purchases on a scrap of paper in barely illegible handwriting then went on to say you can make the total as you might have gone to college and they must have taught you that. WHO SAYS THAT TO A CUSTOMER!!?? ( i am 28 yrs old btw not some young kid in college)Next she simply left us to our devices to deal with another customer who had just arrived. Making us wait for 10 mins. This when We had already told her we have a bus to catch to return home.Just because you have a shop that had been there for nearly a century doesnt mean people will keep coming if you dont change your attitude. Also the bibinca there was just passable. I have had better tasting bibinca before. The pattice barely had any stuffing. The cherry on the top is they dont have online payment service and when asked why said we are different. Sure. Refusing to upgrade oneself because you are too lazy and dont want to expand horizons in business falls under the category of different
The best place for goan taste
Great food
Excellent owner she has has a very genuine and welcoming attitude! The bakery items are to be desired for! Thank you!
The old lady here doesnt seem like she wants any business didnt even look at me when I asked her if cards were accepted, straight cold reply NO. Nothing else.
The Portuguese and their famous loaves of bread
The experience was very bad. Worst bibingka ever. It was not even fresh. Attitude towards customers was very rude.
A must visit
Nice
Excellent snacks.Decent staff.Lovely GOAN sweets.Very reasonably priced.
Good staff and food
The best place in Goa for enjoying some freshly baked Bebinca. The cakes and brownies of this bakery are absolutely delicious but the bebinca was the best.
We tried beninca and was yum, tried cold coffee and prawn Samosa liked it very much.. Happen to meet the owner of this place as well, very friendly person, and happen to know that it was started in 1922 wow.
Good place but a bit costly affair with small portions. Great taste
Oh its an amazing bakery where a lot of goan goodies like Bebinca. Doodle, Doce, Bol, cakes........ The marzipan dry fruit cake is a quick sell out. Rates are a Lil on the higher side. But you feel its worth it after u eat it.
Excellent place to try Beninca. A local delicacy.Extremely friendly owner. Great neighborhood.
Horrible customer service. The people working in the bakery does not know how to speak with their customers.Never visit this place if you are looking for good customer service.
Best bebinca Ive ever had outside a Goan home and as good as some of those. Shops like this are a national treasure.
Nice place. Must visit to try the local sweets and savoury
The owner was very friendly, the options were very limited. A decent place but I feel for the hype they can do a whole lot better.
Bebinca tastes like pancakes and syrup. It wasn’t as great as mentioned in other reviews here! That might just be me. I bought Doce and Guava cheese perada: these sweets are an acquired taste, may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Sweets were very dry and I didn’t like them at all. As for the bakery, I feel it’s kinda overrated by reviewers just because it has a history to it! It’s almost 100 years old.
One of the oldest bakery here, has a cafe attached. The traditional Poee is to die for, so also the other snacks and cakes. For bread and Poi pls rush there before 11am
Never get bebinca and dodol here. Whenever I visited the lady told me its out of stock. 3 stars only for Atmosphere.
Ninette the owner gives her special attention to her guest and the coffee is awesome!
Best place I found for bebinca. I am not a goan, so dont take my word for it. But certainly a good place to relax and have tea with some snacks.
Although it was a busy day, just a few days before Christmas, the folks at the Cafe were really patient and sweetMake sure you try a slice of the babenka
Items are fairly good. But nothing more.
Worst food, worst prices and above all non friendly Disgusting service
Rare original places in Goa
Great to visit such old bakery, loved their freshly baked items.
Takes you back to the old times of Goa... Excellent desserts and quick bites... Definitely come!
Old but good!! not good tor vegiteriance !!
Great eats available here. Try out the pork pies and rissoes
Happen to get a veg. cake from this place. There is not much veg choice but the cake which we got was amazingly good. It was totally worth it.
Whenever you visit, dodol and bebinca is out of stock. No reason to visit
Nice Bebinca. Just happened to try them
One of the old time cafes. Lovely cakes!
Highly priced. Not worth it.
Nice place. Great hosts!
Perhaps the oldest Baker in Goa. Go for the traditional items like bebinca, dodol, poi etc
Very very famous and wonderful Portugese bakery.
Bakers are good. Place where one can have there first food in Goa. Located in prime area at church square
A cafe with history. Good location, pleasant views, cordial owners and great tasting yet low priced munchies.
Good Goan sweet items
Not enough products available at 6pm. Everything was over.
Items sold are good.
