Nice location, Beautiful and clean rooms, wonderful surrounding. The care takers were so kind and open to all our requests from day one, food prepared by them was so delicious. The inn owner Mr. Rao, so kind of him to call and check on us for any discomforts. Overall the Inn and the people in it made our family union truly The most cherished days of my life.

The good:- Nice home converted into a hotel. There is a pool table and an xbox in the hall.- bathroom cleanliness is average/manageable.- good service from staff. They arranged us an early breakfast (eggs and bread) because we had to leave before the normal breakfast time.- good location in the city, lots of restaurants near by. Short, easy walk to botanical gardens.The bad:- Towels werent white and didnt look clean- Not soundproof. Could here the faintest noises from the adjacent rooms

An awesome place to stay in Ooty, a very homely and cozy feeling you do get while staying here. Good connectivity to all sight seeing points in Ooty from this place and near to the main market place too. A wonderful home stay with tasty wonderful home cooked food made by the cook Gopal. Even the manager Zir there takes good care of your stay in the house.All in all, a must recommended stay.

Colonels Inn is a very decent stay and situated in the heart of the city. The service was good and the room was spacious and clean.There is no accommodation facility for the driver. Overall its a nice and clean place to stay.

When my husband had booked this place, I had my own apprehensions and was not very hopeful. However, once we reached, I was all smiles. The place is beautiful, it is extremely well maintained and the support staff there is good too. Their Cook Gopal makes excellent food on demand. I loved the place so much that on my second trip to Ooty, i stayed at the same place!Added bonus - it is pretty close to the commercial market and botanical garden. What more could a tourist ask for.Tip - ask for the balcony room if available.

We stayed at Colonels Inn on 27-28th Jan and it was a wonderful experience. Mr Gopal along with his mate gave us warm welcome and took care of us very well. He also arrange for the cab/driver for the local sightseeing.The place is very well maintained with all the required amenities and cleanliness . Food was very delicious as it was home cooked with fresh vegetables .It was a beautiful experience to stay at such a cosy and homely place amidst the beauty of Ooty. I highly recommend Colonels Inn to anyone who will be going to Ooty and not sure about any place to stay. Enjoy :)

A very nice place to stay with your family. Very close to Charring cross and Botanical garden. Your stay is made all the more better by Gopal - who cooks good food, Zer and Mary amma who take care of the homestay.

Oh God, highlight of our trip. Such a well done place abd so close to the market. The view from the balcony was such a big invite that I did not want to move out frlm there. Btw their cook Gopal is a catch, his food is to die for. Such a lovely inn that I would like to go back again.

This is a private bungalow converted into a hotel, staff is very good and 5hry help.you out as and when you need.there is no power backup so unfortunately when I stayed there out of 3 night one full.nighy we slept without electricity.the power cut reason was told to me was due to weather but in anyways it must have some power backup as when u r in a hotel u can not stay in a candle light.I informed owner about the same..overall due to the staff cooperation we managed well.. they can add 2 more staff for on time service and they struggle if all.guests starts dinner of breakfast at same time.

Really nice place for homestay in city center. Shakti is cook who can serve you home type food with neat and clean way. He is nice person to talk with.Nayan is the caretaker of the property and keep the home clean with every facility.The only thing we miss is ceiling fan or clothes dryer in this weather to dry our clothes in such damped weather.

Overall good. Nice and home like feeling but need to improve toiletries and cleaning. We stay for 4 days but we used single soap for 4 days in addition we have to use same bed sheets, towel etc. Gopal and sanglina are good but we have ask them each and every time for cleaning the room

The owner does not have the decency to talk properly to his customers. I just spoke to him this morning, the way he spoke to me was not nice. You guys must be polite when you talk. Not at all impressed.

We group of 10 friend plan tour for Ooty and stay at here. Staff was good and supportable. We purchase chicken and masala from out site and we have cooked by self and enjoy. Cleaness is good.

I was expecting a lot before visiting this place. The person working there are very nice and very helpful. The rooms are very old . The breakfast was awesome. There was hardly any channel on television ( hardly 2 or 3).
