Better than other restaurants in OotyOoty Coffee house for lunch and dinner. The limited meal of Rs.100 was quite basic with surplus quantity rice, 2 veggies, sambhar, rasam, vatha kulambhu, appalam, payasam and curd. It was quite simple meal and made the day.Dinner at Ooty coffee house - the dosas and idlies were quite average - over roasted dosas and thick idlies. Sides were ok. Parottas and kuruma were good. Recommended

Garlic podi dosa and pongal is a must try. Its busy in the mornings, need to come early, finding a table to dine is a task.

Thank you , your foods are life saver for us. We were searched three days and not found a better hotel thaan this. Good taste ,service and price. Place is so comfy. We had dosa ,pongal vada. All are good lil bit salt less may be its their style. All other hotels are providing food for the name sake to tourists. Its so unique. Must try for veg lovers.

Good breakfast option for vegetarians, didnt find a better place for breakfast in ooty

This is an pure vegetarian hotel where one can get all sorts of veg items mostly. Here are some 100-120 seatings to eat which is on the 1st floor with one side glass finish gives different feelings on eating by watching the outside road. There is separate hall for meals section where there are some around 40 seats to sit and enjoy the meals. The food is also good and not comparatively best compared to other hotels. It is one of the good vegetarian hotel on the mid town.

We were on our way to Ooty Railway station when we found this particular breakfast joint at one corner of the street... At 8am in the morning we were the first customer to go to this place... Still we were welcomed with a warm smile and delicious food...Vadai tasted good...although it is named coffee house, I felt that the coffee was not that great...

I was riding solo in ooty and wanted to taste food at different different restaurants and today its ooty coffe house turn, ordered pongal,vada, masala roast and coffee, since this is one of the oldest restaurants out there I expected alot in terms of taste, but in a way i was disappointed.

Dosa chutney were food but sambhar was too watery...had huge expectations

Old-styled place, almost 50 and more years old. You would be attracted to this kind of setup, where writers and intellectuals must have once met in the beautiful town of Ooty. It is owned by Mr Sadiqs family, who is an interesting local in his own right. A wildlife rescue officer, he tempers his passion for animals by running this lovely establishment. I ordered a Mushroom Sweet Corn soup and found that it is just what I needed on this cold day in Ooty. The heritage of the place can be better maintained.

Nice clean restaurant. We only had couple of types of dosas and coffee, which were good.Little difficult to find initially since the location shown in map was different and we thought the place must have been closed or something. A delicious meal and strong coffee at ooty coffee house. The food is nice however it is advisable to avoid the vadas in the evening when it is not fresh. Ended up having dirty burps. Dosas and idly items were nice.

No Menu in first placeOver charged for ghee roast masala dosa300 for 2 dosas?We left half portion of dosa. It tasted really bad and oil was used more than ghee in roast.Only try Coffee which is very good.

Unfortunately! Durig my visit here only I could see Dosa, Idly no Chinese foods/dishes here. I had to go for other options nearby. They claim its an iconic place but I did not find this place that great!

The place is too overpriced.. and it doesnt stay up to the name coz, the coffee is too sweet and very less amount of coffee in it. ( Also 24₹/1 cup of coffee).Just not the right place for breakfast. Dosa is good but too costly and not worth it.

We had been to Indian coffee house in Shimla in February this year and had very good experience .With the ssme hope we visited Ooty coffee house on 27th December 2020 but were disappointed .Place was dirty,serving people were ill mannered (except one person)..most of the items were not available for breakfast even at 10 am.Most pathetic was the unhygienic condition of the plates and glasses ..not properly washed.Worst was in the middle of the meal the cl_an up boy started cleaning the table without asking.Ladies had to gulp down coffee to save embarrassment.Over all pathetic experience.

The meals area is different from the photos seen and is not hygienic, especially the wash area with bad smell. The rice amount is too much that there is chance of wastage. No parking facility for them, so we have park elsewhere and walk. Would not suggest for lunch.

Coffee house is a place which is surrounded by beautiful tea gardens. A place where you can take as many photographs as you want.The place will surely add to your trip memories with beautiful pictures. They take you on a trip where they show you the making of tea.This is a very good experience.There is a small shop adjoining where they sell all their products.Also you get sample tasting that helps you decide which product to buy.Overall a nice experience

Amazing to see how tea is manufactured. The factory is well kept & clean. At the end of the small tour, you get tasty cardamom tea. Ample parking space available.

Stop here for some great, authentic food. We were well served. Cleanliness can be bettered. But the overall experience is fantastic coz of the food. Do try the filer coffee.

It is not a typical fancy coffee house as you would expect. It is more of common south Indian eatery. Tried crispy baby corn with a filter coffee, it wasnt exceptional but it wasnt bad by no standard.
