Excellent food, courteous staffI can easily say this is THE best restaurant in Ooty and Coonoor put together.Wide selection of food varities and cuisines (both a la carte and buffet)Jhon the guy who attended to us was very humble, respectful and onto his job with complete dedication.I would recommend anyone visiting/staying at Ooty to dine here.The restaurant can be accessed within the Club Mahindra Derby Green campus.

The place is located well. If you are planning to come here do check the timings. We were here on 13th Oct at around 3pm. The only offerings they had was burger, pizza, sandwiches and coffee. This is pricy too. Taste is not worth the price. Attached is the menu rates as on 13th October,18.

I once ate a pizza made with rice flour and half raw cheese, and the pizza that I had at this restaurant is more awesome than that.The crust is so incredible that Indian army can use it as a strong bulletproof vests in future battles. ( Of course, I dont encourage violence!) The toppings are so fresh that archaeologists can use it to test their advanced radioactive aging techniques.

Pricey but good food and location

We went with my family for lunch. Worst food ever had. They said non veg buffet having 15 varieties, but they have only 2 gravies which taste very bad. Once we asked they prepared briyani n gave. Tat too tasteless. We called chef n told taste s not k for us. But he s so lethargic in his answers. Not at all worth for money. Pls dont choose this hotel.

Went for dinner, superb food with live counter, staffs are very disciplined & courteous. If you ask any special preparation, they prepare & will serve you, off course no extra charges you have to pay, they accepted out of buffet special request & provided, which no other restaurant do .Really enjoyed with family with yummy food & service.

Called restaurant today to book table as mentioned in zomato,the person on phone said ala carte is not available only buffet is there ,and its special theme today from Kashmir to kanyakumari. I asked if we can take ala carte ,he said no for today its only for people who are staying in club Mahindra,and when asked for buffet price he said , we will offer you member offer which is 1030+ taxes and buffet doesnt require any booking.So Me and my Mom went ,first we got disappointed with food as it was just average,may be our expectations was too high ,then when I went to pay I was charged Non member price ,when I asked that someone on phone communicated me that they will offer member price which is 1003+ taxes and then they corrected me that member price is 1030+ taxes,the male and female on counter looked at each other and had expressions on face like we cant offer .I said if they can search from contact number as may bebe Mom is club Mahindra member,but they were adamant on physical card.So no attempt to help or apologies for such wrong communications. It doesnt matter if I had to pay non member charges ,but then dont make false commitments.It was utter disappointment .Though the people at buffet area who were serving 2 boys and one girl were really good and also helped with suggestions on local doctor as I had a need.In my view and experience,for sure this restaurant is not worth going,neither for the food and for price ,for sure not worth . Explore other good restaurants in Ooty.

Ascot is the in-house restaurant in Club Mahindra Derby Green heritage property.The restaurant has an old world charm. There are two dining sections, the one to the left when you enter is mostly used for buffet and the one on the right mostly for a la carte dining.Had great dining experience here as I have had in other Club Mahindra properties.The staff is very courteous and attentive. They were at their smiling best even when under lot of pressure with the large number of guests to handle.The first day when I had mentioned that we are planning to catch the Toy Train to Coonoor and spend the day there, they surprised us by packing some croissants and muffins for the trip. They did the same for our return trip too, on the day we checked out.Tried various cuisines including the local cuisine and it was good. The Ooty chicken curry, yellow daal, tawa phulka were all good. Didnt have high expectations when we ordered pizza but when it arrived, it was seriously loaded with fresh ingredients and loads of cheese.Price here is on the expensive side.

Buffet is Soo horrible. 1300/- inr (tax included) buffet per person. Worst and awful atrocious limited dishes. We happened to go to this place for dinner after finding good reviews. But after seeing the food option and tasting that food, we were feeling RIPPED OFF !! Any day one can find a better alternative easily to what they are providing. The minute you will taste the food, your mind will instantly tell you not to eat it more, cause that spicy and masala gravy will give you a hell of a night with heart burn and acidity. 1 spicy chicken curry dish. 1 uselss chiken biriyani. And worst fried chicken in a dirty oil. ADVICE - NEVER TRY THAT WORTHLESS BUFFET AT THAT PRICE ! TRY GOING FOR ALACATE. OR else there are better restorants to go for.!!!!!!!!!! RlPP OFF!!!!!!!!!

Non-existent service. We waited 10 minutes with nobody bothering with us. Then asked for a menu and waited for another 10 minutes for someone to take an order. Finally walked out of the place and as expected nobody bothered to ask what the issue was. Pathetic!! No star place is more like it. :-(
