Food couldnt have been better. Unfortunately the service had a lot to be desired. It took 3 attempts for them to get a vodka straight up right. The first time it came with ice. Second time in the wrong glass. The manager said they have no bartender for lunch and the person making the drink does not always understand English. When the businesses return I hope they remember to hire a bartender for lunch hours.I had ordered pate, which was excellent. It would have been even better if I had a butter knife instead of a steak knife.I paid the bill with a gift card I received as a birthday gift. (We came to NY to have a birthday party where our relatives live.) The waiter didnt know how to enter into their system. The manager had a problem remembering how to do it.I really enjoyed the Food much that next time I will go during happy hour when they have a bartender.

I cannot stress enough how INCREDIBLE this restaurant is. After eating in most of the kosher restaurants in New York, non beat the impeccable, superb and consistent experience at Le Marais. Jose and his team do a fantastic job at serving the best french cuisine. Whatever you order, you will not be disappointed.

Upper class French steakhouse with a premier experience. Every menu item is truly tasty. Although the experience is not cheap, neither is it overpriced. The service is very courteous as well. A true pleasure.

We couldn’t eat inside because we weren’t vaccinated. We ate outdoors, the table was shaky and there was some very suspicious activity going on in the store next door, which definitely didn’t contribute to the ambiance. I ordered a rib eye steak at a temperature of medium rare. It came well done. This was after they were out of my first choice. The service was slow. The dessert was underwhelming. This restaurant has definitely gone downhill since I remember.

Food was delicious!However the waiter harassed me for the suggested tip although its not required he insisted we needed to pay that.Manager was also very rude upon inquiring regarding the tipping requirement he told me not to return to his restaurant.You can be sure I wont and will tell my friends and family to stay away.

Great steak and Filet mignon

Disgusting customer service from the moment we walked in. We made reservation on the website for 4 people. When we arrived the hostess by the name Becky gaves us attitude. She didnt want to give us table outside that we wanted, eventhough almost all of them were available, stating that all of them reserved for people coming in an hour. We just left. They lost 4 customers. We went to UN grill plaza instead and had a wonderful time there.

First time ever being in a Kosher Restaurant. Had a wonderful time with my family and my dearest friend. The steaks were fantastic. The tuna with watermelon was something that Was special. I also greatly enjoyed the fries!! The place were full of people and it was sooooo loud. Except for that, great place. Will try other Kosher places.

My wife doesn’t like to go to steakhouses because she doesn’t like steak. That being said she had a chicken dish that she loved. For a change up, I had the slow cooked lamb. It was delicious (not that filling though). I’ve been here many times before. The Steaks are great and filling. They have raised their prices quite a bit over the last 5 years, but compared to other Kosher Manhattan steakhouses, their prices are still fair.I went back Sunday morning for the brunch. Now that is something to write home about. My sausage, eggs, roasted potatoes with waffles main course was excellent. The brunch comes with pastries and a soup as well. Their brunch menu is a nice change and the prices for their brunch are very reasonable at $25 per person.

Apparently they lost our reservation somehow but luckily there were some open tables... The food is pretty good, and the prices are pretty high (consistent with the city.) However, might be a bit too pricey for the quality...The service was pretty friendly but seemed to be a bit absent at times. Overall a nice experience.Oh and sneak in your own soda. The fountain sodas are 6 bucks a glass and they clearly skimp on the syrup...

Horrible undercooked or over cooked meat, literally they couldn’t get it right! Appetizers were burnt and just not tasty. Waiter took forever although the restaurant wasn’t even that busy… last time I step foot in this garbage establishment

But: food is delicious!Update,We came again andFood was delicious but we were put upstairs because the bottom was very full.From the moment we got upstairs the lady in charge was rude and nasty to us.She made me feel like garbage over and over again.And she had the audacity to ask for tip and wait there for us to give.And I felt like a pauper for not giving. Then after making me feel real bad she walked away and gave us a dirty look and a little more attitude.But we had a different waiter that took care of us for the most part and he was awesome!

We had lunch on Sunday. The pepper steak was OUTSTANDING! We also had soup, a chicken salad and the chocolate mousse. Everything was great. Would definitely return.Our server Gabor was good. The food came as ordered and was timely.

Hadnt eaten here for years and was disappointed. Maybe the steak is still great but the chicken tagine was stringy and dried out and sat on a bed of spongy couscous. Throw in a couple of prunes and that is $26 bucks of mediocrity to nibble on. Sorry but that just doesnt work for me.

This place really lost its touch. Went recently - everytime we needed something we had to get up and go find somebody. Took forever to order, took forever to get our food and they werent even that busy. They charged $8.00 per soft drink. Its very loud. Service is bad. Wont be returning.

Had a great experience here. Went for a date night. Once you get over the parking and the waiting in line. (Had a reservation but still had to wait 16mins in a line) The service itself was really nice and fast. Ive never been to steak house that brought the food out so fast. I really enjoyed that. I hate waiting around for my food. The place was a bit stuffy though. Due do the Rona they had plastics up everywhere and it was really a squeeze fest. I was a mere 5 away from the person next to me. And just separated by. A mere plastic. But overall was an ok experience

Went there with a big party. Food was delicious. Portions were nice size, but not too big to take home the leftovers. Very dark atmosphere.Waiters didnt come to check on us more than once or twice for the 3 hours were there. Left it to us to look for them and call them for more water and wine and food requests. Def something to consider if you are spending $50+ just on the steak.

We love hanging out. Last night we visited this delicious restaurant which we didn’t know before. We had a delightful experience there with exceptional meal and a courteous team and a talented cuisine. We added this place in our list and we shall definitely go again very soon. Highly recommended.

Chicken dish was well prepared

Ive been to Le Marais dozens of times, always an excellent meal and fantastic service. They even created a custom and customized menu (with her name) for my daughters 16th birthday. Twenty young ladies truly enjoyed a delicious eating experience.

I told my friends about this place with my highest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the food there is tasty and the crew is very friendly and cooperative. Every time we visit this place we pass a lovely evening. highly recommended.

One of the best Kosher restaurants in Manhattan

Got there last night before 10pm and was advised they are closed even though it’s says 12am on Google, It took me over an hour to get there so I asked if I can at least buy charcuterie to go and they responded I’m sorry but last seating is at 8pm, I asked if I can use the restroom and the answer was no sir it’s only for customers

Good food; nice and classy interior; friendly service, but what I found outrageous and extremely irritating was that they charged $7 for a can of coke... Yes, I understand that this is a classy semi establishment and its centrally located near Times Square, and you are anyway spending a large amount for the meal so whats the big deal of another few bucks, but $7 for a can of pop is just insane and I believe that theres no justification for that. Overall though, I do recommend this restaurant. Glatt Kosher.

Good kosher steak house that is reasonably priced. Went there for brunch. Stay away from the steak and eggs as the steak part of the dish wasnt great, but otherwise very good. In all fairness, I have eaten there many times and and highly recommend it. Le Marais has an old time steak house feel and is worth the trip.

Best food ever

I used to work here (Le Marais downtown), many years ago, I was a waiter, then head bartender, sadly I havent been back there since 2001. Great (Kosher) steakhouse, the food was always good. Great to see it still going strong. Wonder if the Belgian General Manager Olivier is still there, and the Iraqi Rabbi headchef (forgot his name), lovely people. Highly recommend if youre in NYC.

Good steak with frites!

Paris is famous for its steak frites, for some reasons they have this particular awesome taste when you mix the meat, the fries and the dijon mustard. Having gone full kosher a few years back I thought I would never enjoy this French style steak again, that is until I went to Le Marais and tried their steak, frites, salade!It is one of their entry level item on their menu for $26 (looks like it went to $28 now but trust me its worth it). I order mine medium rare and they taste just like the real ones! Being a creature of habits, every time I visit New York, I always order the same thing and I can say that they are consistent on the quality, serving and cooking.Overall the service is good, the atmosphere is pleasant and the restaurant is always clean. I can definitely recommend their Steak Frites to anyone looking for a French style steak at a very good price especially for New York!

My husband was there today with a special guest, service was TERRIBLE!! The waitress was asked for a medium well steak and answered you are Jewish, right? You know theres no blood in the steak! 20 minutes later the steak didnt arrive (steak for two $150) my husband asked to know when itll be ready and was answered by same waitress sir, I told you it takes 40 minutes, dont ask me when the truth is she never told them itll take 40 minutes. Ever. When steak finally arrived, my husband and guest waited for it to be cut, the waitress said they have to wait as she is on the phone. This was so disrespectful, embarrassing. Will never go again or recommend anyone to. This used to be one of our favorites but there are many others that will appreciate our jewish business. Food was not as good.

What an amazing concept. Just drinks and drinks and some more drinks and perfect price. No food no side dish . A small metro train cab like setup but loved the cuteness . The owners a couple are the ones who serve and they are full of energy. The pictures and wall is inspiring. Best place so close to times square for some extra drinks before or after ur dinner☺️☺️.

Came here for the first time for an inaugural meeting with the Young Jewish Conservatives.While we had a set menu, it nevertheless was a great exprriance, the empenadas were solid appitizers while the steak tartar and roasted chicken were excellent.Portions sizes were generous and the price (from what regulars tell me) is really fair.Overall good experience, but would need to come again to truly be sold on this establishment

Would have kept this to myself if only the service was just a little bit decent.Was terrible.Im shocked there are so many positive reviews about the food - I thought it was underwhelming. Not close to being worth the visit or the price of the tab.I rate this restaurant as lacking in quality and service. Mediocre steak, online menu says $32-38 for a ribeye, was $52. Horrible service, had to ask twice for a single refill, after flagging down a bus boy to get our waiter. We ordered 2 steaks medium rare, one came out rare. Will not recommend.
