Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) is a medical college in New Delhi. It is attached with the famous Safdarjang Hospital for clinical teaching.The college runs under the umbrella of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.Vardhman Mahavir Medical College was established at Safdarjung Hospital (one of the largest hospitals in India, started during the Second World War) in November 2001.The Inauguration of the college was done by the then Honourable Prime Minister Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee on 17 December 2001 in presence of Sh.L.K.Advani, Sh. C. P. Thakur and Founder Principal Dr. Jagdish Prasad. The first batch of MBBS students joined the college in February 2002. More than ten batches have joined since. The college has recognition by the Medical Council of India. It is included in the World Directory of Medical Schools and the Avicenna Directory of Medicine.Although the college began on a very modest note on infrastructure carved out of the portions of the Safdarjang Hospital. VMMC & Safdarjung Medical College is a big hope for migrant patients from UP & Bihar. Specially for Burn & plastic surgery, Orthopedic, Gynaecology and other treatments.

VMMC and Safdarjung hospital is very good hospital amoung government..Staff is also very cooperative and management is good. Environmental is updated and adopting latest softwares in teaching and also latest equipments in hospital. Although some lacking in fund for research.

Nice building facade but the outer parking area is less.

1st impression is last impression very Bad Hospital and i never visit in my whole life... Doctors and Nurses behaviour too Rude and Rough like (jahil gawar) and no manner how to talk patients in labour room. All guards are same. I advised to public never visit this hospital.

Double edged sword. Cowded hospital means lots of opportunities to observe even rarest of the disease...but it also means doctors are too busy with the patients to have time to teach you in clinical postings.So u have to make a lot of effort on your own. But once you do that theres a lot each patient can teach you. And doctors are always there to solve your queries as it doesnt take much of their time.P.S. path dpmt is awesome!

Vmmc nursing officer grade 2 exam was held on 7 Oct 2018 ....my exam center are oriental collage bhopal I face tio many problems during exam like server automatically unattempt too many questions and and unattempt after attempt questions so I request that plz conduct again exam in all over India...in all centre....

Vmmc nursing officer grade 2 exam was held on 7 Oct 2018 ...my exam center at Mittal institute of Technology karond nabibagh .Bhopal .is this online exam but At the time of begins the exam too much issues and computers hacking problems came and also login issues ..the examination center was not helpful or Exm time ends 12.30 but most of candidates loging 12Pm and exam ends 2.30pm ...whats is going on..a Vmmc central govt hospital.exam really hopeless please retrun this examination process all over india👍 and exam tender to another Agency. its really hurt us.😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

I have an very bad experience.The hospital staff was very rude and if we requested to see the doctor then doctor directly refuses to see patient and said come after 2 weeks.And his assistant said that if we dont obey this then the doctor will not see the patient.Doctor was also very rude.There is no treatment .
