This restaurant serves perhaps, one of the best Chinese/Tibetan/Thai food Ive ever come across.Additionally, some fine precautions were taken over my 2 visits - including, sanitisation of footwear, hands, masks check that too even before I entered and waited to be seated on carefully spaced tables.I personally enjoyed Chicken Steamed Dumplings and couldnt resist reordering twice on the next visit.Amidst relatively hygienic ambience, I am sure to visit it again with friends and family.

Order Drums of Heaven and dry Chilli Chicken from this place first time and found an amazing taste which I was actually looking for 🍗 Providing perfect quality with amazing taste which is really gonna make your order worthy.. Got on time delivery and food was actually hot in box,, Just love their taste...😋

I visited Zen restaurant with my friends to relive special moments that we shared 5 years ago. It is still such an amazing place, comfortable and chic ambience, polite behaviour of staff, delicious food. All the staff and place is well sanitized with waiters wearing disposable gloves and face shield. Proper shoes and hands sanitized at the entrance with temperature check also. Had a wonderful time!

A restaurant with quite the identity crisis when it comes to decor and its menu. Perhaps they should cut down the menu and focus on their flavors. Portion size was generous however, doesnt make up for the fact that the food was uninspired.

Loved it! Tried Japanese cuisine for the first time here. The food tastes super awesome and the ambience is good too. Found it a great place to have lunch with friends and family. Fun fact: the spiral staircase serves as a perfect spot for pictures. :)

Ordered food from here for the first time. Definitely liked the taste. Chilli paneer was quite flavourful, and fried rice just as spicy as I like them. Packaging was also really nice. Would love to try other dishes too from here soon.

Omg this place is great, I just loved their food! Especially the chilli chicken and the schezwan chicken! Even teh vegetarian dishes were great.

Wonderful ambience, hadJapanese cuisine. Rainbow sushi was awesome! Also had miso soup with seaweed and tofu, and fillet of salmon with terriyaki sauce... Soup was good, but one needs to develop a taste for it. Terriyaki sauce could have been more better, it was jelly like. Overall great food!

Nice family place. The restaurant could be better maintained in terms of cleanliness. Zen Special Prawns with fried rice was a delicious combination(it was like Manchurian gravy with crispy prawns in it). It was enough for two people.

Food is good but prices are on higher side. This place is maintaining its old aura of 80s and 90s . Interior gives you that vibe. Bonus tip- you can get 50% discount on booze from 11 am to 7:30 pm.

Pathetic food quality.. ordered one honey chilly potato and one Manchurian. Honey chilly was extremely cold as it was prepared for any other customer and they cancelled the order and as if the zen staff was waiting for the next honey chilly potato customer and they served the same tomus...and Manchurian was so bad that we couldnt eat more thn one piece.. will never ever recommend this place to nyone...

I think this is a super place to order from. I ordered the Desi Chinese with Chicken Fried rice along with chilly Chicken and it was just totally worth it. It was packed also well and was super.

The worst experience ever. Rushed us so much to order that we didnt have time to even see the full menu. Food was horrible and cold when served. Air conditioner was switched while we were eating the food. When asked for soup and desert they refused to serve since multiple course will take a longer time for customer to complete the meal. Bill was provided while consuming the food. Had to ask thrice for a glass of water. Lemon chicken which we ordered was of to much artificial flavour. Overall a horrible experience

This place is a quiet place where you can be with your family or a group of friends. No music, no ambience. The food was really good, prices are a bit high but justifiable as per the quantity served. They have happy hours for the drinks too. Staff was good but they took a while to address the table. They have a lot to offer on the menu. People were quite there, if you have a group of loudspeakers, people might give u an eye there but I believe that should not stop you from being there. Must visit for the great food.

Excellent place to enjoy some pan Asian cuisine. I went to Zen after such a long time and found no flaws..Highlights:1. Food was delicious. We ordered prawn hot pot and burnt garlic vegetable fried rice and it was such an amazing marriage of taste and flavour.2. Service was fast and good. You can’t ask for anything more3. Ambiance - Good old classic touch in terms of decor and feel4. Huge variety of options (veg / non veg) to choose from5. Cost effective. Its an amazing restaurant where it offers Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisines. Food quality was good, ambience was even better, price was satisfactory and staff behaviour was average. Good for family and couple outings. Solo dining isnt recommended.

I tried their mushroom and baby corn in garlic sauce. It had an amazing flavour of garlic and was on the spicy side. Next I tried their Cucumber Sushi. Personally I really liked it. It has a nice sweet taste. Overall the quality of food at Zen is really good and the food was delivered in a spill proof packaging

The flavor avenue options the menu presents are professionally conceived and show a real food savvy wisdom. You can build flavor combinations here that wow the most difficult customer - yourself.

I ordered drums of heaven and chicken, broccoli and sweet corn from Zen today. The food was packed in spill proof containers and were properly sanitised. The taste was phenomenal. It wasn’t too spicy and was exactly as per my liking. Will definitely consider ordering again!

Zen used to be much better. I think these exceptional circumstances have made them average. If earlier they were 8 out of 10, now theyre 6.5.

Not so wow as per the amount, but its okay to have Japanese in CP.Yum yum cha and Mamagoto are always on top.

They could really do well with some lessons in hospitality and services. I mean, who really serves the bill when you’re halfway through your food? Lemon chicken was just a broth of over cooked chicken in lemon concentrate. Really unhappy at what this place has become.

I used to come here for dinner almost every weekend throughout the 90’s.Went back after almost a gap of fifteen years on Saturday last.The décor remains the same being simple and sober and the staff was professional and courteous.However, I wish I could say the same about the food which was far from being even palatable.We ordered the Singapore Noodles which tasted of nothing but raw turmeric, it was bitter to eat and simply ruined the taste of our dinner.We had ordered one prawn and one vegetarian dish each and both of them looked and tasted the same.My favourite desert at Zen used to be date pancakes with ice cream which was unavailable so we ordered glazed pineapples and ice cream which also tasted bland.It’ll be another fifteen years before I ever decide to come back here something’s are better in the past.

Looking for Authentic Chinese /Japanese & Thai food,this is the place to be. Alcohol is served,but dont expext it to be like a peppy bar.They are old school, where in you experience hospitality at its best ,food is too good,waiting time post giving order was more ,rest is awesome.

In the middle of CP this restaurant has been here for some time. But definitely makes me wonder how could someone stand the test of time with such medicore service. May be its the pandemic which is having its effects. Food was slightly above average and services were below par. Dishes took too long to be served. Overall a very mixed experience. Definately not going back.

Might be restaurant got impacted due to lockdown. So, read my review with a doubt. But, a place like this, is very hard to say, be impacted by lockdown.Definitely not a good place to have a tea with some snacks, as snacks were not availble. Not even a option was there to have a cookie or something.But a posh place or say a place for rich people or high society people to dine-in with a option to have a hard drink or beer. But food options are very limited, despite a huge or vast menu with a lot of varieties, 50% of the things were unavailable. Which is definitely not good, for a place like this... Hence, I rated it as a 3 star, just coz of good ambience and waiter service.

Ordered fried rice n vegetables in black bean sauce. In the middle of eating noticed there was a hair in the rice. Unhygienic preparation of food. They have just cancelled the rice order only. They didnt even care about guest mood after that. We just left everything n came out after paying.

Zen is one of the oldest restaurant in cp. Their food is yummy and staff is very polite. The service is quick and all the people are really amazing. I used to visit zen with my family when i was a kid and till now the taste is the same, nothing has been changed.

A Japanese themed restaurant in the heart of the city , good location and food but poor staff

I ordered chilly paneer and shichimi udon noodles from here recently and both were really good. The food came in tamper proof packaging. The level of spice was good in both of the items. I loved the shichimi udon noodles, as it was my first time, to my surprise they turned a lot to be amazing and it had a lot of veggies too. The chilly paneer was spicy and the quality of paneer used was nice. Even the food delivered on time without any leaks. Will definitely try other items from here.

I went there with my family. Honestly the staff hardly bothers to even greet or entertain you. The food takes too long to prepare, that wouldve still been manageable if the staff was nice enough. The staff is rude, you keep calling them and they wont even bother to reply.My evening was ruined, please dont choose this place especially if youre with your family. Interacting with rude staff at a restaurant is the last thing youd want.

Nice place for a lovely dinner. Easy to find and located in the main area of cannaught place. We tried Wonton veg soup, veg steamed momos, vegetable sizzler and pan fried noodles. Everything was delicious. The prices are little on higher side but if you are looking our for a relaxed dinner with food and some drinks then this is the right place. Places does offer cocktails, mocktails and hard drinks too.
