A great place for photography because of the ruined fort architecture. Look prettier during rains. Not as well structured or detailed like Amer or Red fort.
The place is big, and very very quiet, eeriely quiet. That can be good or bad, you can climb the fort and sit in silence. Some rowdy boys were creating fuss and catcalling at one point. And lots of monkeys around.
Edit : visited again during sunset hours, quite beautiful experience , if you just want to sit and enjoy the time , when you enter the fort take right then youll see the highest peak ,just climb up and sit on the top untill sunset ,dont worry of the sunny weather coz itll be quite windy up there.Past experience-Im gonna be honest , my experience is quite bad because I went there around 1 pm ,the sun was very bright 🌞, I suggest if youre planning to go, choose weather morning or evening time, I can imagine the surise and sunset from the top of that fort would be amazing ,its really good for photoshoots ,the place is really big .for Indian ticket is 20 rs. Per person (if you pay through Paytm) ,for cash its 25/person.The nearest bus station is tughalkabad (around 200m away) or you can take small tempo or auto (they will only charge from rs. 10 to 20).For camera shooting you have to pay 25rs.Nearest metro station is govindpuri( violet line). Not to forget visit there when weather is amazing.
Absolutely beautiful and historical place to visit and explore, I went there for the very first time and was completely astonished to see that the fort is completely devastated and theres not much left to see but still the devastation of the fort makes it more beautiful and eye-catching. One must checkout this place to observe that what a masterpiece it would have been it its time. The ticket price is cheap but I dont remember the exact price of the tickets as I went months ago but felt like writing this review now, and I also dont remember if there is any restroom 🚻 I hope we have got one now. Also dont come to this place alone if you arent aware of this place fully otherwise people can loot you easily 😜 always go with your friends and family. This fort has also become home of some birds that can be found in Delhi/NCR and can be enjoyed capturing them. I hope we can see Myna to Indian Peafowl easily and maybe a jackal can be sighted too.Amazing place for Birdwatchers.I am pretty much excited to visit this wonderful place again in coming days.
Nice historic place. One can get good clicks here.
Amazing site to visit, especially in evening. The sunset views are very good, it is a must watch. Nice place to have a photoshoot too.
If you want to just spent your time go to the fort with your friend. You will get delhi round view from the fort peak. There is not much thing to visit the opposite side tomb is good there you will get some place to sit and drinking water as well.
Tughlaqabad Fort is a ruined fort in Delhi, built by Ghiyas-ud-din Tughlaq, the founder of Tughlaq dynasty, of the Delhi Sultanate of India in 1321, as he established the third historic city of Delhi, which was later abandoned in 1327. It lends its name to the nearby Tughlaqabad residential-commercial area as well as the Tughlaqabad Institutional Area. Tughlaq also built Qutub-Badarpur Road, which connected the new city to the Grand Trunk Road. The road is now known as Mehrauli-Badarpur Road. The entry fee for the Fort is Rs. 20 for Indians. Also, nearby is Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range and Okhla Industrial Area.
Ruins of fort is good for photography.you can take some amazing clicks here.
It is very nice place but dont go in summer days because at that place there is lots of hotness ,you can go with your family also and this is nice place for couples if they want alone time 😉😉🙏🙏
It is a good place to hang out with friends. It is nice to explore theese ruins of 14th century and discover the architecture of that era. The area is open and gives an excellent 360° view. Many great spots to get excellent pics. But the downside is you will find people doing illegal activities in some spots like drugs. Also not a good place for senior citizens coz of many stairs and climbs. Ticket is only ₹25.
Beautiful place I m stay near by
This fort is good to visit in winter season but it is not maintained properly by ASI. When I was entered the fort found that some people sit in the group and drink wine, smoke hooka etc, their language also abusive. Not recommend for couple to go there. Connectivity also not good as there is no near by metro station and its a lonely and deserted place.
Nice Fort, And Best Photoshoot place 👌

It is quite Ancient Fort in Tughlakabad Delhi..The Ticket is 25 Rs per Person..Not much far from Sangam vihar..It opens upto 5 pm ..Earlier it was not a safe place for couples but Now the security staff is much higher in numbers so you will not face any problem and of course you can go with your family too.Great place to enjoy the Nature oldonuments and Cold wind at height.
A very historic monument .. well preserved by Delhi .
Great experience. Best place to visit with your friends if you are adventure loving. This place also offers some haunted experience also.
This is Tughlaqabad fort, built by Gyasuddin Tughlaq in 1321 AD, it was the first thing he built as soon as he captured the throne of delhi. He established the city of Tughlaqabad, the third city in delhi.Unfortunately he didnt stay for long and died in 1325.Imagine capturing the most powerful empire of India of that time and not even ruling more than the prime minister of india.Anyway, Tughlaqabad fort was abandoned in the year 1328, and remained like that until this day.The fort is filled with dense vegetation, which would have been the vegetation of Delhi if there were no humans, spooky.
Its a very old fort in south Delhi. It was built by Giyasuddin tughlaq
First of all the fort is open for vistorsI went yesterday as a part of Delhi Heritage walk. The fort is very big it is said if one has to explore the fort it will take 7 days to explore completely.Unfortunately with the passage of time and negligence of authorities only 25 % area of fort is available to explore and left out to see.Only structure of walls are available now.The fort was constructed by Gayasuddin Tuglak, there was a super maket, army camp, water tank, kings palace and many more in the fort. The Idea was to create entire city inside the fort. The fort has one watch tower from where entire Delhi can be seen.Fort was one of a kind but it is said due to curse of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia the fort lost its charm and only structure is left now.The king was rude to sufi saint and passed an order once to stop the construction of baoili ( water tank ) initiated by hazrat nizamuddin aulia. Then saint cursed him and it went from there. The place is must visit if you come to Delhi. Thanks for reading !
Good for taking pictures
Needs Much More Maintainence by ASI.
Nice Place.
These ruins will entice you towards the old pages of history, but surprisingly, it will also let you hug the wide vista surrounding the Fort. Grab the highest visible spot in the Fort and feel the wind swaying you away. As discussed with the guards of the fort, the city’s view looks astonishing during the monsoons here. We already cant wait to witness this!Where | Tughlakabad Fort - Tughlakabad, New DelhiTimings | 7 AM - 5 PM
Good experience to see such a beautiful monument still existingVery big compound and cover very large area. Ticket prices are nominal
Very peaceful and good place for picnic
Its a nice place to visit with friends but not on a sunny day, especially summer, there is no facility of drinking water or washroom inside the fort.
It is a huge property that youll out of ur breath to complete a single round this place is surrounded with all the greenery and the old history is still attached with this place the way it used to be fort opens from sunrise and shuts post sunset entry for indians is 20₹ and you need to book ur ticket online else you wont be allowed to enter . You will love this place if you are a history lover tgis fort has few beautiful photo stops where you can click end number of photos.
Tughlaqabad Fort timings: 7 AM – 6:30 PMTughlaqabad Fort entry fee: INR 20-25₹ (for Indian nationals)Famous for: Walking tours, photography, sightseeingVisit duration: 2-3 hoursWear comfortable and sturdy shoes, preferably sports shoes. Floors are uneven and have thorny grasses. Few crevices have insects, lizards, and snakes, too.Morning hours are the best time for clicking impressive snaps of its grounds and surroundings.Make sure to eat before you arrive here. There are no food stalls or eateries around. However, there is a small shop that sells all items at exorbitant prices.
The fort needs quite revamp and loot of look from govt as its perimeter is roughly 5.8 m but only 1 km is accessible and just in front of entrance there is makbara(grave) of the king who built it. Some high remains is interesting and gives a beautiful view of South eastern part of delhi.Try not to go on sunny day as scorching sun will left you out of energy, winter and cloudy day are quite suitable weather to be here. No eateries nearby.
Old historical place......only ruins...can visit once...for spending an evening.
A place where youll come to know the history of India.
The fort is in ruin. From the top of the ruin you can see the modern world on the other side. The Archeological Survey of India could clean this place and have a light and sound effect or 3D laser show, to show the actual fort. Would have been really interesting. Statutory warning: Be aware of tik-tokers 😅
Nice place to visit and it is very similar to a garden of six senses.
Nice place, but not interesting
Very nice place
If you want to see some historical monuments in delhi please go there
Amazing experience must visit.
After standing top of Quila you can see Lotus Temple from here, Here you can See Nice View
I have woken up to roam but for the local people
Nice place to visit with your friends 😊
Good place to visit if you have some friends.
A historical place to visit. Good place to visit in Delhi. You can go by metro there. A large fort in Tughlakabad. Also thats good for couples.
Nice scenery
I have given it five star because I personally like this place too much.I have visited here on 6/10/2020.It was really a good fort in Delhi constructed by Gyasuddin Tughlaq. It was constructed in around 14th century AD.A meena bazar in underground is there which was too good. But it need some rejuvenation and some extra care and preservation.Overall my experience is good.If you want to visit here..nearest metro is Govindpuri metro station which is around 2-3 km far away from this place. The ticket price is 20 rupees you can book through scanning the Either QR code or through the website of ASI.
Should be maintained properly as this structure is quite mesmerizing and intriguing. Still you can visit this place with a ticket of mere 20-30 rupees. It is a large structure and history lovers will find this place very interesting.
If u r looking for an escape from city life and chaos, this place is suggested.Less public ,more of natural view , historical ruins, best photography location and a place just to seat and relax with friends.Always suggest to go there in group and try to keep the area clean.
Tughlakabad fort is such a good place if you are a history lover and dont consider the ancient art as left over and stones only. It covers 6.3 km but much of the area is restricted . You can have a very beautiful view of Delhi and mainly Tughlakabad area from upper pavilions . And for solo travelers be a bit careful , its not as if it is a hub for criminal activities and there are guards also but still since the area is a bit deserted.
Good to visit ancient monuments once in a life
It is known as place where you enjoy sunset view
Epic views from this place. I would recommend to visit this place when the weather is cloudy and also dont forget to wear sports shoes air your hiking shoes. As the terrain is very much slippery at places.
Its pretty Good But It needs Some Developments & Repairing. 👍
Youll get the best experience in night and on the top of the hill
Very nice and historical place of our Country.
Decent place for getting view of whole delhi
One word for this monument: An underrated gem!
Amazing place... Must visit
Could have been a better experience if there were not so many couples in every possible nook and corner. There are no signages to inform the visitors about the different ruins. We were lucky to have found a guard who had been there for a long time and took us around explaining the significance of the ruins. The tomb across the road was better and neatly maintained. Be careful of monkeys though. The whole area is infested with them.
A historic place to visit if you want to know about one of the aspect of history.Nearest metro station is tughlaqabad.
I live in tugalkabad from my childhood its awesome

Memorable monument ❤️
1-2 hour round at this fort is good enough. The fort is little deserted, little in ruins, but does give insight into the past. Very fort has a history to relate to.In 80’s era, these fort were built across DELHI to give protection and own the particular boundaries. They were usually built to be owned by the family members of kings and queens.Parking: Free parking availableTickets counters are available. However one may also book tickets online.
Best place to visit. If u want to have an adventurous walk it is best place.
