You would feel refreshed after visiting the temple. Delux AC rooms are available. Food is not that much good. Overall, a good stay.

Ni
Review №24

Situated in C block Greater Kailash1 this is essentially a Ma Durga temple in the Bengal style. As you enter the massive gates directly before you lies the main temple. There are two smaller temples on either side of it. On the left is a place where functions are usually held. There is an office and rooms are available to stay, but these are usually booked way in advance. It is normally a quiet place except during the Durga puja festival. Then the whole complex takes on a festive look as food stalls are put up and a stage is set up to hold cultural functions for all 5 days of the festival. This is a must see place during Durga pujo time and usually we visit it every single day to watch the evening aarati, partake of the delicious Bengali food and also watch the cultural functions late into the night.

A place of worship having calm and quiet environment. Evening Puja with Aarti is a must watch. It also has a large Dharmashala {guest house} for outstation visitors. Another special mention is the well appointed charitable Physiotherapy Unit where one can avail treatment at a nominal expense. Overall it is a spiritual place with many facilities and it is on the Delhi Metro route (half a km from Kailash Colony Metro station).

Its peaceful and serene. Maintenance could be better, but there seems to be some funds constraint. As it is dedicated to Durga and has a Bengali Management, it not like your typical temples with rigid dress codes and set ideas. You can just walk in casual clothes during the Sandhya aarti and enjoy the calm with tolling bells and a quiet environment smelling of the most fragrant incenses.Being a temple dedicated to Durga it is know for its hit cultural programmes during Durga Puja.
