Sasta or bakwas khana ..quality of food not good at all
A decent restaurant with mild and mouth relishing Gujarathi delicacies. Food is served hot and the rates are reasonable. A must visit restaurant for every vegetarian foodie!
Good roomsClean bathroomsSuprisingly we got newspaper and tea in the morning ..Near to business area, and very near to palace,Good breakfast,For dinner go for thali as suggested byThe hotel manager ..All in all good stay,
One of my friend suggested this restaurant for meals… i loved the meals here.I strongly recommend this if you want taste good meals😇
Foods are not good as per me...in phulkas they put salt.. in sabji they will put sweet nd expiery dated sweet they give...nd when you ask them they says this is how they prepare....irrisposible persons......
Truly supporter to the new comers in the city.Excellent staff very much supportive. Excellent food and quality service. Value for money.
The best place to get pure vegetarian North Indian food. A must visit if you are in Mysore.
They add soda to the rice which is included in the full meal. It was a good meal earlier.
Surrounding were not good but taste of dosa and idli are excellent
Awesome food. must visit, gr8 service
Serves tasty and hot food. Cleanly maintained.
Good for vegetarians. But price is bit high compared to the item served .
Loved the food ...gujarathi thali
Wonderful lunch.. involved customer service
On a recent visit to Mysore, we had the opportunity to visit Purohit restaurant. Since we were a bit too early for dinner, we were offered ginger tea at first. The tea was very refreshing and the owner entertained us with small talk while we waited for dinner.Dinner was served thaali style and each and every dish was amazing and served with hot rotis!!! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We certainly plan on visiting the restaurant again whenever we visit Mysore next.
We visited here after few recommendations. But it was worse. We ordered meal. In between they offer us soda and milk butter. So we took soda. But in billing they charge extra for soda. And behaviour was very rude. Not recommended at all. Cheater people. Beware of them
Must visit restaurant if you love North India food special Rajasthani
Complete thali full of good food, work every penny
Good food veg thali...
Cheater person. They offer you cheap quality soda without saying that its not complimentary. Later they charge Rs. 80 for a road side soda
A food lover will always love food here , pure veg , Super tasty
Too delicious foodPlate system 225/plateUnlimeted food
We visited this restaurant by a recommendation but it turned out worst. We ordered north indian thali. There are soo many varieties in thali of snacks, sweets and veggies. But taste was not good. Also they charge extra for a cheap tasteless soda and by the time of serving they didnt tell us that its not included in thali. So its a pure cheating. Staff and owners behaviour was not good.not recommended
Not suitable for south indian heavy rod one meals 225 RS ,full soda in meals .waste of my money
Fantastic and authentic Gujarati thali... Taste was excellent... Will definitely recommend this place
Superb food. Make you feel in your region.
Unlimited thali, but the taste is average!!! Only 2 items out of all the items in the thali are good, nice ambience.Would be great if they improve the taste
Its a quite nice restaurant to have a proper lunch, it might be costly but they will provide you the best Thali ever, with all complimentary items. I really loved it.
They are scammers. I went to the hotel today and ordered for a plain dosa and a masala dosa, they gave one vada each with the dosa and we thought these are complimentary but they added that vada with the bill even though we never ordered for it! They added the vada without even asking. Not a good place for tourist!
We enjoyed our food. Outstanding service, personal interest taken by the owner to ensure quick service. Kwality food.
A clean and bright place. We had a Gujarati Thali which was very good. It had no sugary recipes and was overall a welcome change. A must visit if you want to re-energise your taste buds.
Pioneers of introducing gujrat & rajasthani cuisine in mysore. Aloo paratha not to be missed...
Very nice food.. when we went it was almost closing time.. we were very happy with the service.
Below average. Food was ok. But not for upper middle class. Price was steep too. The panwala outside made good pan.
They give forcefully cheap quality soda at rs. 80 . Tourist should avoid as these are scammers
Good place for proper north indian person. Food quality is very good with reasonable rates.
Amazing pure vegetarian restaurant. Pure jain food. Will suggest all vegetarian food lover to go once.
Nice hotel.we had dinner here.the hotel was very kind to us.usually they dont serve paratha in evening but on my request they served paratha and dal khichdi.paratha was awesome.dont forget to try lassi.there is one pan wala outside sDo try pan from him very hygienic panwala
A great Jain/Gujarati Veg thalli...Felt one of the unique thalli I ever had..was just wow...for the service as well as the food...the only disappointment was they dont have a parking space for 4 wheelers, but still the owner managed to arrange a parking space for our car in front of their restaurant by removing few of the parked bikes and scooters..I loved their hospitality!Thalli cost is ₹225
Would like to give a 4.5 starGood quality food with a steal pricing. If u want to try different Gujarati thali is a must try. On down side its only veg😃
Best North food ( ghar ka khana in Mysore)
Very manipulative. They will force you to go for their thali and buy mineral water. Too much hype. Not upto the mark.
Really good veg food. High quality ingredients go in to making of delicious food. Really enjoyed it.
Food was authentic rajsthani . Choorma was excellent . Pulav was great with mild spices and long grained rice . For 225 bucks you could eat all you want and the waiter will not shy from serving you hot fulkas smeared with desi ghee with an Aur lo hospitality. Their dahi vada is best . Fresh curd over aptly soggy vada . Dhokla bhi hai , meetha bhi hai , chawal bhi hai . Bas khane wala chahiye .
Good vegetarian dinner I had. So I like it so
Gujrati thali not worth the price. Worst behavior of owner and waiters when I complaint about food. Before placing the order he promised everything is unlimited except sweets. But they forgot to put paneer gravy. When I asked paneer, they made it very little nd told it is limited. Dont waste your money in this restaurant.
Simply the best vegetarian restaurant in Mysore at a reasonable price and easy to locate. Try there Gujarati Thali to best experience the taste of purohit
This hotel is near to Bus Stand Mysore , we eat here the Rajasthani Thali and I can say that this is the best thali I have eaten in last 2 years of my service in South ( Rameswaram, Madurai, Mysore, Ooty & Kodagu), I recommend that one who likes north Indian food must visit this hotel once.
The restaurant offers Gujarati thali. Though the authenticity and taste are good, it is very expensive .
Very Tasty food and nice renovated ambience to sit and eat with family. The unlimited Thali had lots of dishes and many varieties of sweets, behavior of staff was also great 👍. The place is usually crowded and may have difficulty in parking cars. One thing which I didnt like is, many in this review have told the rate of unlimited Thali is 200 Rs. But I was taken 225Rs a plate., requesting owners to have a fixed rate and clearly display what customers have to pay. More over you should consider adding a water bottle free rather than charging that also for a unlimited thali.
When you visit Mysore, I would recommend to visit the hotel for pure veg authentic rajasthani cuisine
Food is tasty but servers are not cleanly dreseed
Average food . Average taste. Not recommended
Waste food . Waste of money. Tourist should not go there
Accommodation is very good, but restaurant is overpriced.
Very good food
Extremely polite staff
Must goo to this place ,if you needed jain thali or authentic Gujarati, best in mysore. They serve unlimited thali @200 rupees per pax
Best place to have Gujarati food, smooth and delicious food.
Sooooo goooood
Relished the food.... Thali as usual is very flavourful and very healthy!!Genuine North Indian taste..Thali is unlimited and they serve you till you are full and more.. Exceptional curtious service..Try the Paan on the outside..
Tasteless lunch. Mannerless staff
They serve good higne gujarathi food
Amazing food! Really great options for vegetarians! The food choices are very nice! Owner is also very helpful! Would love to go again and would recommend it for all!
Very testy, food quality & unlimited Qnty.Special Rajasthani Thali concept I really like it, management very good,Very good option for north Indian food lover...
The best gujarati food in Mysore, a complete meals with unlimited food.5 to 6 variety sabjis with chapati, roti veg biriyani Everything tastes awesome. Service also very good.Worth choosing this
The food is good. Service is better. The selection of dishes is the best.

Good place for north indian food. Clean and good service.
Amazing food in Mysore pure Gujarati food very tasty
I loved the food at this place. Typical North Indian with a slight pinch of rajasthani taste. #taste at its best. Floor manager is a quite old man with a humble heart, who helps you to find out the near by roaming places. He old me about a very old church, st Philomenas Cathedral.Crew members are also very polite.
Good Food & Friendly staff
For people who want to enjoy good and healthy food can surely visit this restaurant.
The staff here is very nice, humble and helpful. The owner of this restaurant is also a trip adviser. He explains everything in detail. The price here is very much affordable. Do taste their tea. Its very tasty. The rest of the food is of average taste.
If youre in Mysore and youre ever bored of South Indian food, this is the place to go. I loved the homely atmosphere with the ever smiling servers pushing more food. The uncle sitting behind the counter is always ready for a quick chat. Great experience and taste!
Very delicious food available here.
Tasty food ...and very warm welcoming staff
Good n healthy food with less masala and a good combination of Rajasthani n Gujarati delecaies
Its Gujarati flavour. I liked the food a lot, it comes very close to the real Gujarati food, the Thali is unlimited. So eat all you can for 210 rupees. Not sure if everyone will like the food because its a bit sweeter on the palate, but thats how the food from Gujarat is. Overall I liked the food, fresh and tasty and reminded me of my time in Gujarat.
Excellent taste and worth if you are a phulka lover.
Decent Ambience, Authentic Jain and Gujarati Food, Courtesy staffs,
Best gujarati food we have tasted over Mysore. U will feel like eating at your home. Must visit once while travelling to Mysore when you are fond of gujarati food.
Good rajasthani food.
Nice gujarati food!
WHAT THEHEEBEE SAYS ABOUT PUROHIT RESTAURANT, MYSOREI visited Purohit Restaurant during my visit to Mysore last year. This is a delayed post, but I am happy to see that reviews round the year have been consistent with my experience. This is a small restaurant located in a busy locality of Mysore, yet close to many tourist attractions, markets and popular hotels. My stay was in hotel Sandesh The Prince, but having read so much about Purohit Restaurant, I made it a point to come down for meal one day. And the most encouraging reason what this being a Gujarati dining restaurant and me being a Gujarati, there was always a soft feeling to visit here.As mentioned by the owner they serve PURE VEGETARIAN food that comprises of Gjarati, Rajasthani and Mumbai cuisine! I found the majority of guests splurging on Gujarati Thai and I had also decided for the same. It is a small but cozy setup and the owner, a humble old man is there to take care of comfort of all the guests. We had called him to get direction to the place and google map also shows precise location. So reaching here is hassle free.As we took up our seats, we were served clean washed and dried set of utensils. Unlimited thali comprised of lip-smacking Gujarati dishes - 3 types of curries (Sev Tameta, Mix Veg and Moong), Gujarati Dal, Gujarati Kadhi, two types of breads (Fulka Rotli and Jowar Rotlo), one helping of sweet (Gulab Jamun) and farsan (Gujarati Dhokla) each. Aam Ras (Mango pulp) was available at an extra nominal cost. Pickle, Green chilies and cut onion were complimentary accompaniments.Food was amazing in taste, very fresh and healthy with limited oil and balanced salt and spices. We ate till our hearts content.Just outside the restaurant there is a small setup where a person sells amazing Paan (Betel leaf mouth freshener). We picked up one each and went back to our hotel with amazing nostalgic memories of Gujarat.I strongly recommend visiting Purohti Restaurant for healthy, fresh, rustic authentic Gujarati food. This is surely going to be my pit stop whenever I visit Mysore.Signing OffHiral Amodia(TheHeeBee)
Good gujarathi full meals.
Good food for North Indian people
55rs commission for auto Riqsha driver, be aware tourists !.. Pretty old restaurant. In Terms of food the quality or authenticity is good. Place is located in the centre of city and quite difficult to locate. Find a place to park your vehicle before hand. There is no online payment, so be ready with cash (180Rs ). Sometimes you dont have choices or limited choices. Reducing the review because they dont accept any digital payments and they loot tourists by paying commission to auto drivers
Here the story, Its completely a veg restaurant, Excellent food with minimal and perfect spices. If you are too hungry then must recommend there thali , which cost you around 180₹ . Bike parking space is available.
