Located at KC Layout, Mysuru, Karnataka 570010, 3D Selfie gallery has the 3D artwork of Mysuru-based self-taught artist N.M. Chaluvaraj who has put up 17 different works in the space. “The speciality here is that the artwork appears to be three-dimensional only when a visitor interacts with it. In the image of an angel with wings spread out, the 3D impact becomes perceptible only when the visitor stands in front of it or else it will appear to be flat.” For a generation obsessed with clicking selfies and posting them on social media immediately, the Sand Sculpture Museum with its 3D artwork is turning out to be all the rage. Not surprisingly, the museum is also being promoted as a 3D selfie museum.
Worst place, it is nothing but a organised loot to cash during the heavy rush in Dussehra season. They charged 100/- per head for the entrance and inside are nothing but colored flexis of Taj Mahal, a gorilla, frog, Goddess Durga and a few more. The flexi boards were worn out and torn too. The person issuing the tickets will act as a guide and tells us how to pose in front of the flexis. All in all a waste of time and money, skip the place even if you have ample time.
Made for folks who have DSLR cameras. For a good outcome you also need to know good photo editing skills. Not worth the hype created. One time go.If the place were covered from the top to avoid shadows on the paintings would be great. Not at all maintained. The pictures are faded to a great level due to exposure to sun.Expected more. But the tickets come cheap - its not more the 50rs per person.
Something different to do in Mysore besides the usual visit to the palace, zoo and other historical places. The sculptures are quite artistically done and varied in design. The 3D gallery is a fun pass time. Both kids and adults can amuse themselves taking photos. Both are in the same area, though tickets are sold separately for each. It was Rs 40 per person.Since its a little away from the hub with less public transport, its better to ask your auto or cab to wait and take you back.
Please do not go here. It hardly has 8-9 TORN images which are already shown outside banner. All the images are already torn with a big notifiable line in the centre of very images. Its really pathetic and disaster. Moreober the area is really really small. 5minutes you will be out. Not really interesting. 40rs per person here is tooo much.
Its a small place which has sand sculptures in 2-3 parallel rows... its good for people with interest in history
Its on the way to Chamundi temple.. Can consider as pit stop for a break.. Spend 20 minutes with photos...entrance fees is cheap .. But not so good selection. Better ask the person inside to take photos in your camera.. Restaurants nearby has good food
3d selfie gallery at sand sculpture museum is just useless for which you have to pay for, separately. Would not recommend since they have all faded out photos.
The back grounds of Taj Mahal, sea surfing etc. gives a real 3 D effect when photographed. quite interesting fir RS 40!
It was awesome to click the photos here. But u will need another person with you... You cant take selfies there... I really liked this.
Good place....but not so worth
Its best art work. I mean sand museums sand art was excellent
Simple place to create wonderful 3D photographs of you and your family. Great photos with good assistance by the support staff.
One of the best place to visit in mysuru. One can see the beauty of sand art away from h sea shore.
A fun place for 3d selfies. Interesting for kids.

Gallery was good but there is less option to explore
3d selfie gallery is not up to mark. Poor experience. Sand gallery is good
Sand sculptures are one of its kind
Too old 3D pictures. Quality of pictures are very bad. Waste of time and money.
Had loads of fun. All selfie lovers must go there once.
Sand musium good super .
Good place to click pics. Must take help from the person available there to help.
This place is ok.. Not much entertainment. One time we can go for only selfie
Not a place worthy to visit with 40 RS entrance fees.If you have a DSLR camera then you may be able to take pics with the live images of hulk, dragon and sea, Taj Mahal etc.Otherwise with only Mobile Phone camera this not the place.
Good sculpture made by sand..
Very gud 3d pics. Must visit
Its an amazing place with only 40bucks entry fee . Tell the person in charge to take your photos . They are amazing photographers
This place is fine for a visit.
Nice to take different photos
Nice place but with little more maintenance it could be better, the paints have gone old and damaged a little.
Amazing place in the foot of chamundi hill. Vist once explore yourself
A must visit place enroute to chamundi hills. Can get yourself some good pictures
Only good place for selfie entry fees is more
Good place for 3d pictures and selfies
Not really 3D. It looked 3D because they had painted the floor. But the paint is gone now. Also theyll fool you to pay first for sand museum where its written sand museum and 3d selfie gallery. Then theyll again ask you to pay for 3d selfie gallery.
Great place to visit in your free time
Dont waste your money here
Very very bad. It is not even worth of ₹5/-The pics also dont come out as 3D. No point of going there unless you want to waste your money.
Little old place not worth to stop over.. outside there is good juices to taste but.
Same old sand art, after so many years same nothing changed and bit commercialised
Best place to visit in Mysore.
