Beautiful location and really lovely architecture. The services were heartwarming and they provided a very homely feeling along with delicious home cooked food. The view is fantastic and the place is cleaned and sanitized regularly.

Excellent stay. The rooms were clean and all the Covid protocols were followed. The care taker was very polite and the food served was delicious. Cant wait to visit again.

Would like to share the bewildering experience my family had during the 2 night stay at Solitude.Our main intension to visit this time was to just relax and unwind ourselves. The stay at this well maintained property has made us achieve it.We have enjoyed every bit of it from the location it is situated, to the picturesque landscape around it and not to miss out the food. No photos could capture the true beauty of this location.The thing about this place is, the moment we reach there, we wont feel like going any other place but to stay and enjoy the view, nature, sound of birds etc.A special mention to the caretaker Mr. Kalesan who has always been there to help us with everything and anything. Kalesan provided so much information about the places around the things to see etc. Thank you Mrs. Kalesan for the lip smacking food as well.

Great experience for the Nature lovers.If you are looking for a place close to the nature to kick back and unwind this is it.Sound of birds,great view from the elevated wooden deck,a simple yet tastefully done wooden construction,a very helpful caretaker,dense and green vegetation all around-are some of the reasons to fall in love with this place.Best experienced if you stay in for the day and enjoy the place.Great time to visit would be during monsoons when the surroundings would get all misty and provide a surreal view.Not for people looking for a typical resort like luxury experience.

I had a very good experience from this wonderful homestay. The care taker was so friendly and caring. The food they provide is so hygiene and tasty. Overall the experience was excellent.The place is far away from the crowded munnar city. Those people how likes to stay in a quiet and clam place this property will be the best.

Ive been to this place during the pandemic and I loved it.Book the tree house if multiple options are available.Reaching here itself is an adventure(if you rely on Google maps), I loved it though, so did my friends as well.Its a beautiful place, the location, ambience, food( do ask for the barbecue- its a must try, ask for Kaleshan- the manager/cook/caretaker for it.)Kaleshan- the person who takes care of the place, dons many hats absolutely kills it.An amazing guy who loves cars and his love for Mahindra Thar is a story that you shouldnt miss at all , he will take care of almost everything at solitude.If you love an underrated, gem of a place, away from all the commercial hustle of the munnar. This, my friend is the place to be.

For this out of the world experience, even 5 stars would not be enough. My family (and I) spent two nights and three days here and have enjoyed it thoroughly. If you are the kind seeking SOLITUDE and serenity, and with your loved ones {away from traffic, pollution, digital devices(even though WiFi and Cable TV are available)}, nature loving person with taste for classy accommodation and palate for South Indian food, this is the place to be. The caretaker takes complete care of you besides the property :). A friendly atmosphere with birds singing Good Morning to you and the sight of the orange sun setting from an elevated balcony are the high points of the stay here.

It was a best place to stay on the outskirts of Munnar. This place is located off by 20km on Munnar - cochin highway, but quite inner.Its almost a tree house located on a tree estate with a beautiful backdrop.the lusty green tea estate and small hamlet nearby makes this place to stay. A small water fall in the the near by i.e. on the interior estate route to munnar. Although the road is not much paved in most of the places but is quite accessible to reach munnar through this way admiring the scenic beauty en-route.This is a typical two storey tree type Guest house located. Here one can simply come stay and spend the time leisurely. The food is also cooked and served as per our requirements at our convenient time. The entire guest house on the second floor is of wood making it completely feel like a tree house. This has all facilities including a TV with satellite Digital Dish connection. The major draw back is network connectivity is poor in this area with BSNL being all time available throughout the go. This tree house also accommodate a power backup solution and there is no fear of any power cut being in a remote location in Munnar!!

What an amazing stay it was here at Solitude. So peaceful. Caretaker arranged for tasty home cooked food and also took us to near by places in his Jeep. Anakulam which is a 1 hr drive from there. He took us there through Forest road which was quite adventurous. We saw elephants coming to Anakulam river to drink water. He also introduced us to Keralas traditional world reknown Kalaripayat and Kathakali.

The place is very nice and calm. Its located slightly below to Munnar so its not so cold compared to Munnar view points. Kalesh (caretaker) is a very nice person tried to help us as much as possible to make our experience better. The only problem with the place is we must be cautious about neighbours and noise in the evening times. If you are batch of more than 6 I would not suggest you to go there. Find some other places. The place is well maintained and clean very nice place to stay away from city and noise

The experience in solitude munnar is a great memory to cheer forever, thanks to Mr.Kalesan(incharge). I will always recommend to those who want to see the beauty of nature at its best and live with it. the elegant cottage which is raised above the forest has an awesome view of the forest from a huge portico. the sightseeing like waterfalls, aanakkulam and morning walk around the nature was breathtaking. we had home food arranged by incharge and he was very helpful in adjusting for our tastes. The hospitality and service was at an elite level and thanks for the overall experience once again.

I had been to munnar for 5 days. I stayed here for 4 days. It was heaven. Resort was awesome. Everything is made of wood and glass. We could see the waterfalls and beautiful nature through the window. Resort was completely covered by fog. Rooms and bathroom were neat and clean. Kerala food was delicious. There was a care taker name called kaleshan. He took care of us very well.Below are the places very near to this resort. Nakshatrakuthu caves, viripara waterfalls, tea station.also you can hire the jeep with reasonable price.

We stayed in Solitude Munnar for 3 days from 27th July to 30th July 2018.Monsoon was in full flow in Munnar and Solitude Munnar made our trip even more special.Let me start with the journey from Munnar city to Solitude Munnar.They have a jeep which you can hire at very affordable price compared to other resort or cottages.This is managed by cottages care taker KaleshDistance from the Munnar city to the cottage is approx. 20 km. The journey from City to the cottage itslef is a visual treat as it passes through many scenic tea estates .Next about the location of cottage, It is located at base of a hill amidst trees.There is a beautiful view of a waterfall from the bedroom.Second floor is completely wood furnished and it is very tidy and clean.It also offers Jio wifi service and there is a TV with DTH connection.Kalesh prepares delicious Kerala style food. Food is one of the things which we liked the most about this cottage.Since it is surrounded by nature stay was calm and relaxing.Special thanks to Mr. Kalesh for guiding us about the places to visit in Munnar and making sure our trip was a memorable one for all the good reasons. There were many occasions where he went out of his way to help us and made our stay even more pleasant.We promised him that whenever we visit Munnar we are going to stay in Solitude Munnar and I recommend everyone to try this out if you are visiting Munnar.Good job Solitude Munnar.

Awesome stay at a beautiful view at the hills. Viripara waterfall is very near by. The stay was neat and clean with good atmosphere and ambiance. The caretaker was so humble and polite.He was so helpful in getting things done. The food they served was delicious and at a reasonable price.

Kaleshan the care taker was awesome helpful..the place is nicely maintained.. clean and worth visiting.. he will take you to beautiful places for site seeing.. waterfall and all.. a must visit place...

We felt stay is not worth for the rate charged per room especially second room which is at the ground floor appears to be for the driver and also bathroom is outside . This room is also not shown in the site .Approach road is too inconvenient and difficult to locate the place .Food is good but it is made outside.Entire cottage is managed by a care taker only as owner does not stay near by .I would say this cottage is highly non professionally managed.

I am surprised by the place the place is like the name says you dont have anyone around you except surrounded by trees, birds chirping and very cold wind. You get the feel like you are living away from the world full of noise and pollution with pleasant and blissful nature around you. Much recommended fro honeymoon couple. The caretaker is also so courteous and take care of everything you ask. If you are going to munnar try to book this place if it is available.

Everything was nice the place and the ambient was awesome and the caretaker also very nice.If you like to home made food they will provide you...But keep a microwave oven because of very cold temperature food gets chilled very soon... Overall experience in Solitude was marvellous and enjoyable

Homely experience which made me come back for the second time. hospitality and warm approach of the care taker is much appreciated. Enjoyed a trek and a cool dip in the natural pool.A day well spent in the calm and screne surroundings.

What can you ask more? Absolute solitude! The view over tree tops of misty mountains on three sides yet, well concealed from outside. Not a soul around to disturb your inner peace except for the mist which intrudes even to the bedroom. Loved those natural streams running through the premises. Thank you Kalesh chettan (the caretaker) for showing us around Mankulam.

It is a very eco friendly peacefull cottage... we enjoyed our stay very much in between the woods... the food was home cooked and yummy... the care takers were sooo good we dint feel like leaving.. it is a must to go and experience.. :)

This was my second time here ..first with my family and now with my wife.. I must say this place is perfect for a romantic getaway or for family weekend..We enjoyed great hospitality and homely food they provide is something to come back again for. I have gone to Munnar many a times.This trip I stayed in Solitude Munnar. I could smell oxygen spiced with Cadamum.The view from the balcony was mind blowing due to lack of time we could stay only a day.But for sure I am planing for a long stay soon.

This place is a must visit if ur looking out for a peaceful and calm location. beautiful cottage to live surrounded by nature. The morning sunrise and chirping of birds is a thing u cannot miss. The place is far from the main road and u need to have a vehicle hired or owned to reach the place. But this is a place one cannot miss

Actually this property is located behind Munnar town about 20kms. But guys this is worth staying when compared to Munnar town because nowadays Munnar became a busy town with full of traffic and crowd.Persons who wish for a peace atmosphere definitely have a stay at this place.Well maintained rooms and the structure of the property is like a tree room which is a bonus. Worth for money . Lots of sightseeing areas around this property which will enable us to avoid Munnar. Definitely I have to mention about the care taker Mr.Kaleshan who was so co-operative and understands the guest needs and act accordingly.Special thanks to Renjini property owner whom we were initially coordinating.Overall experience good and cool.

Place is a heaven , and its not actually in Munnar its in the way, small and classy way to keep the place . nice to feel a lil lost in the woods away from the busy city life. A place true to its name, this property is located in the forest village of Vilipara, away from the busy tourist town of Munnar. A perfect place for a silent gate away and to experience the serenity of the nature. Do visit Annakulam, where wild elephants come to quench their thirst.

Hotel is good but its location is very dangerous there no proper boards to the location of the hotel its very far from Munnar if you go through GPS the road is very bad and you will be not finding any person to even ask for the address but the hotel facilities are awesome I suggest better to take a hotel before or in Munnar
