They recommended white tandoori chicken which is nothing but grilled chicken. Prawns were good. Need to ask them to make less spicy in case thats the preference else the spice added is generous. Restaurant is claustrophobic hence mostly used as cloud kitchen these days of pandamic. But yes u can definitely sit and eat too and there is some space outside too.

Had visited today with my family for dinner, really disappointed by the way things are going there now. It was once upon a time a good restaurant. Now it feels as if its just being run for the sake of it. Starters whether veg or non-veg are served cold. Main course is tasteless to the core. Had ordered Chicken Handi No spice or salt nor is it hot either & Butter Garlic nan which was ordered was not properly done. I guess it was my last visit today. It was once upon a time my favourite hangout place as i reside in navi mumbai and liked the food here. Last but not the least washroom is not clean either and no water too.

Place near diamond garden which you can go for family dinner. Its not very heavy on the pocket too.We order :• Chicken chilly: Well spicy & crispy chicken pieces melts in your mouth.• Panner chilly: Average at taste• Chicken handi :served hot with fresh & juicy chicken.• Paneer Tikka masala:Exceptional good• Tandoori Rotis: Good at taste not so hard• Jeera riceThey have two seating arrangements. One for family without bar and other with bar. The ambience is not so cozy but its suitable for a family visit. Seating is Comfortable with good table clearance.

We visited this restaurant yesterday for dinner. We had Mutton Dry, Roti and Kolambi FryTheir Kolambi Fry is a crowd puller and so we had to try it. It was nice, not too overpowering in flavour and with a crispy shell. But pair it with their mint chutney and diced onions and it is a great appetizer. The mutton dry was similarly mildly flavoured, and the roti was quite different from other restaurants. It was a wheat roti instead of the customary maida one, and enhanced the flavour of the mutton.Overall, it was a nice restaurant experience and worth a try even if youre planning for food with no drinks.Plus, the fact that I didnt have to pay was an added bonus for me anyways! :)

Value for money for sure! Its a pocket friendly and nice place only for non vegetarians.. in case u are a vegetarian not that you will not get food here.. but you might not enjoy it for 2 reasons. One variety in vegetarian is comparatively less and secondly the restaurant has this smell of non veg on the air.. whichever section you sit in..Tandoori items are recommended here.. simple but delicious is chicken tandoori and must try is prawns koliwadaThey serve food with accompaniments like chutneys..pickle..onion wagar..

This restaurant has a good first impression. The ambience maintained is also worth complimenting. Its without a doubt a place to fine dine. The menu is limited to Indian and (Indian) Chinese cuisine. However the quality of food maintained is adequate. The cost for two people who want to have their fill would definitely go around Rs.700 (Dont go here with a tight budget). It would also depend on what cuisine you go with. Its a family restaurant, the place is well maintained and hygiene didnt seem of concern either. Its always fun to eat at new restaurants. Youll be glad you ate at this one. :-)

Lamba is famous for its seafood and we were looking for exactly that.We ordered the Lamba Prawns, fish fry, Manchow soup, Chicken reshmi Biryani.Fried Small sized prawns brown in colour with chat masala sprinkled with chat masala; the prawns were crispy as well as tasty. The fish was similar in cooking but had the taste of a fish, the fish was decent in taste as well. The Manchow soup was Bland. The Chicken Reshmi Biryani had wholesome quantity of Reshmi Murg pieces which had a soft bite and were appealing in taste, although the biryani was mediocre in taste. It felt like the herbs and the spices had not blend in perfectly.Overall It was a cool experience, if you are a seafood lover and dont mind a visit to Chembur then you should definitely visit Lamba and try the Prawns and the fishes they make.

Starters were good. Prawns koliwada is a must have if you seafood. Chicken kadhai was really pathetic. Never seen sauteed vegetables in chicken kadhai anywhere. Taste was equally disappointing. It only tasted tangy which basically spoilt the entire zest. Soups were ok. Nothing outstanding. I dont understand why I was forced to listen to Punjabi song back to back during the entire time I spent there? Especially when I dont understand those any bit. Seems like they are not bothered about the customers..

Iv been eating here since the past 23 years and so many bad and good times iv been able to tide over due to their amazing food! Prawns and rawas tasted the same even back then and it still does so till today! Pomfret biggest size has been my weakness too but if thats not available then the medium size is as great! Highly recommend the butter chicken biryani, the chicken tandoori and the lamba prawns. My father used to visit this place in the 90s and raved about the prawns. Apparently they have maintained the same taste. Butter chicken biryani is very creamy, gravy rice based and soft shredded chicken. The kulcha was decent but good butter naan. Also in veg the paneer tikka masala is quite good. Mild and good taste.Ordered via swiggy and food was still hot after delivery. They dont give raita with the biryani.I wish they had the butter chicken tandoori option in the swiggy menu

Have been eating from Lamba since the last 25 years and more. My sons loved the prawns and lollipops. An elderly man who passed away had magic in his preparation. After his went to his heavenly abode the taste and size of the prawns just became bad. Twice I brought it to the notice of the gentlemen who is on the delivery counter. He seemed to take it casually and gave me a deaf ear. Also regarding the size of prawns he told me that this was the only size available. I kept quiet and walked away with my parcel for the last time from Lamba. I was in the food industry for the last 20 years and I knew he liked to me about the size of the prawns. Friends lamba purchases fresh water prawns of small size and his rates have gone SKYWARDS and the taste Downwards towards rubbish. This is my personal experience 😂

Excellent place. Very old and has always been known for its non-vegetarian fare. The place is not a fancy one. Prima facie looks like a very ordinary restaurant, especially compared to a lot of newbie restaurants that have mushroomed everywhere...This one believes, I guess, that good quality food will always trump the unnecessary show-sha... And they are absolutely right if thats the case.Their chicken preparations are very well known since ages... I know about them since last 20 years or so and if theyre that reputed since then, then obviously that reputation isnt built in a day...A must visit place for sure...
