The Great Indian Khichdi Festival, Good Punjabi food! Hello @NeelWe absolutely loved this place as the food taste and quality is standard .I love the Mahalaxmi outlet for its beautiful decor and being by the racecourse .The Powai outlet is more like an all day place with modern ambience and gives you best of both worlds - Indigo Deli and Neel. You can order from what you like.We were craving for good punjabi food .Cost would be ₹2000 for two. What did we order ?For starters , we ordered :Nadru Ki Shami Kebab ₹415Lotus stem and Bengal gram patty, cooked on an iron giddleAbsolutely succulent and delicious .We loved their Khichdi .It is absolutely a Bowlful of soul !Rediscover regional khichdi and what not. There was more than our imagination. There was from Kathiyawadi Khichdi to Maharastrian khichdi to Bisi Belle Bhaath to Kolumbichi Khichdi to Karnataka to Bajre ki Khichdi .We tried Pahadi Khichdi ₹400Unpolished short grain rice cooked with red kidney beansServed with roasted papad, onion curd, red pumpkin raita, butter milk, mustard chutney .We found it really wholesome and devoured on it.Bihari Khichdi ₹400Kolam rice with yellow moong lentil cooked with cumin seed, ginger and garlic pasteServed with aloo bhujiya, aloo ka chokha, black lentil papad and lauki ka raita .This was again a different taste . I liked the way there were all elements present and was wholesome .Let’s come to the main course :For vegetables we called for :Khade Masale Ka Paneer 525Grilled cottage cheese with coarsely crushed Lahori spices .It was on the spicier side yet yummy .DalTadkewali Dal ₹245Toor Dal tempered with onions . The DAL WAS OUTSTANDING. (It needed that emphasis)Roti ₹60Now let’s come to our favourite bit : DESSERTSRasmalai- ₹165We loved the creaminess. It was so smooth and delectable. The subtle taste of saffron went perfectly.Jalebi - ₹145Jalebi was an absolute worth. Try it with rabdi. It is so good. Have it hot!Chef vijay has done a good job.Coming to the staff:The staff was not around much.Overall we had a fabulous meal over some good Khichdi and Indian food
Super nice and cosy place for a meal out. The food was amazing and the service exceptional. Not sure if that (service) was because it was not too crowded being a working Monday nevertheless the staff was very courteous and ready to help you. We had a wide variety of food over three courses from dal khichdi to roganjosh and some chefs special biryani. The standout items for me were the prawns starter (dont remember the name) but it was made in a white sauce and was by far the best prawns dish that I have had. The mutton roganjosh was good as well and being a kashmiri would say this is the closest to the real roganjosh that I have had in a restaurant though still not 100% of a Kashmiri house cooked roganjosh but would say was 80% there (all comparisons for restaurants outside of Kashmir as I have never been there). The image is of the chicken Biryani which was good for 4 people
This is a restaurant which has common seating area for Neel and Indigo Deli and the menu is common with different sections for each restaurant. This is not clear when looking up the place online.I had food from Neel section which is Indian cuisine. I had Lucknowi galauti kebab, chicken tikka in the starters ; the starters were very well made and a must have. In the main course, the rawas curry was very good. Belgian chocolate ice cream was a superb end to the meal.
Quite a quaint restaurant with lovely tasting food. The pizza is the thinnest crust ever seen - which is what Indigo is famous for but that thin pizza is deceptively filling. Hence one tends to over order. Will return again to explore the Neel menu
A great place! The ambience is nice and peaceful, they serve good food which is really appealing to the eyes :p , they have a wide range of wine collection as well (for wine lovers) and they also serve a wide range of cocktails and mocktails. A perfect place for a family outing. They also offer reservations for parties.
Been here countless number of times. Good ambience and great food.. has valet parking as well, in case you struggle to locate a parking slot nearby
Ordered for a veg biryani..was delivered by zomato on time.Packing was something unique and i liked the concept. The taste of the biryani and raita was really good
Part of the chain of Indigo Deli and the Indian counterpart restaurant. Some decent good - some Indian with a twist but not necessarily too spectacular. Good place to visit if some of the folks want Indian and some continental.
Loved the ambiance and decor of the place. Low lights, classic decor . The main course we ordered was great. However, their best recommended starter - lotus stem kebabs were not even average. I would recommend to stick to the main course here. The small plate portions are okaY for 1 person. They only have 1 baby chair available. I wish they had more considering they are a fine dine and premium restaurant. Also service is pathetically slow .
I tried Afghani murg biryani half which costed 195 rupees. Packing of food was nice and delivery reached on time. Biryani was little dry which is not the way how I like it. Could have more masala and taste too.
Well spaced out joint - not at all cramped. Service is courteous and attentive though the dishes take some time to arrive. Food is good, with good sized portions. Overall quite decent.
Good and attentive waiters. Prices are very high. Lighting is dim. Portions small...way too small. Valet parking is helpful. The location is perennially overcrowded.Nothing earth shattering about taste of food.
Loved my time there. Must take your family and friends there for fine dine. Food was great and it is not very expensive. Overall I loved the place and ambience.
We went to celebrate a friends birthday. The drinks and food was great as always. They also sang to my friend and made it all the more enjoyable.
Good food good place n parking too
The food was really good. Its a fine dine place so it is a bit expensive but worth it. You get continental as well as Indian. We ordered both and both were delicious. They have a good range of dessert too.
The ambience is quiet impressive. I tasted both veg and non veg food, found it to be good, though not excellent on taste. I loved the desserts though.
Neel Indian is one of the best restaurant I have ever visited. I specially liked the veg starters they served. Overall food quality and taste was great. Though non veg food served here was good enough, I loved the authentic Indian veg dishes.
Opposite to powaii plaza, the very corner restaurant it is. Good interiors and pretty good menus to savour. Feast for nonvegans. One must try pork ribs, stakes, roasted chicken, prawns and fish fillets as well.on occasion of birthdays or ceremonial caches one is provided with complimentary cakes. Cookies and ice creams can be tasted and combo can be created with ice cream variants. Post dinner ice cream cravings can be met with here. So give this place a try at birthday, anniversaries, family get-together or a late night date . A fair choice
Good food. We tried some Indian food and some pizzas. Portions are small to medium in size. Very expensive place. Ambience was okay, it was quite noisy. We took a long Island ice tea which was not so great - strong orange flavor!! So overall it was an ok experience.
Great food, good service and amazing ambience and music. I had the best Hyderabadi biriyani here that I have had in years. The decor and music provides a soothing backdrop, and the service is swift and the guys are courteous. Gem of a place to dine with friends and family.
Decent place. Can be brilliant sometime and sometimes the cooking is not so good. Would help in getting consistent food. Lower Parel version at Phoenix mills is better.
Was here for a team lunch. Service is not prompt. Food was just okay, nothing special. We ordered thin crust pizzas, and ALL were soggy. Management and kitchen staff were not even ready to acknowledge the issue with the food.
The place is fine if you are having non-veg but on a vegetarian day its not that great. Paneer options were especially disappointing. Sweet potato starter was good. Usual tomato and Palak soups are very different and are subject to taste preferences.
Nicely done restaurant with great choice on the menu card. Liked the service. People were very cordial.
Please do try the waffer based pizza! The khichadi festival is going on. Do try the khichadi with amazing twists! And the mock tails are too good to miss!
This actually is also the Indigo Delicattesen, where we had some great medium rare steaks, along with mud cake as dessert, the highlights of this place. Highly recommended
Awesome biryani. The chutniwale aloo biryani is too good to miss
We went at about 1pm on Sunday afternoon. It was a quiet & cosy luncheon until... the party on the other side of the restaurant got waaay to noisy. There is a barricade between the sections but the noise easily spills over.Food is excellent & pricey. Burgers are outstanding. The delicious array of icecreams have a texture & creaminess that you would rarely find elsewhere. The baked cheesecake tasted a tad rancid.I would go again if there did something to block the noise in their celebration zone.
Place is good, Food is awesome but lot of traffic problem.
Loved the ambience. Food is good, but little less in quantity. Staff were very courteous. A very good place to hang out with friends.
Good place to host a dinner party. Rich and tasty North Indian food. Little expensive than a few other options but what you gonna do.
Superb food. Value for money. Service also very good
Great Food, get to order from their indigo and Neel menus... Must trys include galowti kabab, their water thin pizzas, butter chicken... The service is generally quite slow.
Great ambience, food can be more good, price is decent affordable
Value for money. Good place, good good. V good service
I have been here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. The latter one was a better experience. The ambience here is very soothing. Each table has fresh flowers and tables are well separated. Service was a bit slow , but people were courteous and they knew their stuff well. Food was good. They have most of the dishes available in 2 portions- small and large, which makes it great for a small group to try many options. Chicken angari was too good as was the galauti kebab. Their icreams are a hit too, Bailey flavour being my favourite. I have already recommended this place to many! Happy dining 😊
Extremely Expensive. Not worth the money. Had a bad stomach next day.I had the below items,1. Samosa curry2. Khadey masale ka paneer3. Butter RotiRs. 225 ka Rice?? Aur Rs. 235 ka dal tadka?? Bhai 500 rupye me pura 5 kilo dal rice ek mahina chalega usme ghee dal k.Not so impressed. Also this is my opinion this may not be in agreement with the others.
Nice ambience. Food quality is good. Bit expensive.
Ambience was average...food good but quite highly priced...have better options in hiranandani....service was ok
Excellent food and drinks. Very good staff and great ambience. Must visit place when one is in Mumbai.
Food is very good. However they have an adjoining party area where the music is so loud that you cant sit in the restaurant. No sound isolation done. Avoid if there is a party going on.
Ordered Indian dishes paneer starter and kashmiri aloo and paneer main course. Quality and taste was not so great. For the price we pay, the taste was not at all matching. Last two times I visited the place, was happy with the experience, not this time. Not great for Indian food. Quantity portions of soups need to improve too
Good food poor and very slow service. Nice ambience
Cool and chic with an amazing decor and good service. Prices are a bit prohibitive though.
Great food, nice ambience it has some amazing in-house icecreams
Highly overrated place. Not worth for money they charge. Average food taste.
We had office dinner party yesterday @ Indigo Powai. Our experience was not so great. Although ambience was good but food variety was not good.In buffet dinner they served only one chicken starter & Once fish starter & it seems they made main course of those starter only.Even taste was not that great, Mocktails were not done good, Few items (Dal & Fish curry) were salty. In all our mood was spoiled because of food. Not worth of money. You get good deal for same amount of money.
Highly Overpriced. Good preparations. Drinks were innovative.
Quality and taste has dropped tremendously from couple of days....
Although the food was good, half the items on the menu were unavailable
Service and food was excellent as usual. Never get disappointed whenever I come here.
Good food. Nice ambience. Spacious
Good Menu, excellant service, Slightly Noisy, No parking
Decent food but very limited variety, especially if you have restrictions e.g. no onion no garlic or eggless. The staff/chef arent ready to customise even simple dishes which get easily customised elsewhere. Also, beware if you are going on a Friday/Saturday, with high probability of some party going on at the restaurant simultaneously. Theres no division between the restaurant and the attached party hall. The noise can be extremely deafening.
Good for non veg food (as per my friends). Veg is ok. Portion size, ambience, service is decent. However this is little on an expensive side.
Nice ambience. Good food and service with smile.
Good international cuisine with a take on American/Western fare. Good environment and service.
New Restaurant in Place of Saffron & Spice. Good Ambience, Food & Service. Worth Trying in Hiranandani Powai.
Very bad experience. Inspite of booking for 20 people for set lunch a week beore they had no record of booking a day before. There are supposed to be 2 managers but on the day none was in attendance.Service was extreamly slow. Unless you ask they looked like wanting to avoid serving. Many people from group had prior commitments and had to rush through. Food was okeyish nothing in line of Indigo chain that is reputed for food.
Good is ok and is very expensive. Beer especially is too overpriced. Good for once a while visit.
Good food but sevice is very slow. A friend of
Really best food and good ambiance
Good Indo-Italian place if price no bar.Excellent thin crest pizzas and chicken dishes.Average on Indian seafood.Excellent Tiramisu.
Great food and great staff
Chef Aditya awesome ,delicious...no words to express..............food one of the best taste in city
This establishment combines a high-quality continental menu (Indigo) and a great Indian one (Neel). I especially savour the latter, because it offers a nice selection of South Indian non-vegetarian items.
Food n ambiance are excellent. One must experience.
One of the Indias leading chef kitchen around Powai. Awesome food and ambience with a equally passionate team to take care of your visit.
The food was yum & the staff was very courteous. We ended up reaching slightly late yet they accommodated our orders & served us with excellent yummy food!
Nice food ...nice location...nice environment..
Good food and ambience but overpriced
Good service. I visited for a food festival and liked more dishes than what I did not enjoy as much.
Poor service with no supervisor to help young seevers, no pizza in peak time menu in an Italian/multicusine resturant
The restaurant is shared with Indigo delicatessen, so you get the best of both worlds. The starters are fantastic - the paneer and even the galoti kababs are excellent. We had a pitcher of pineapple caipirinha, which was a bit too watered down and sweet for my liking. There are a lot of entrée options, but after tasting all the appetisers we were too full. I would definitely go back again.
Good restaurant good Indian food, drinks and fast food like burgers, pizzas etc
Amazing pizza place. Real nice thin crust with good cheese.
Nice food but go with zomato
Ok food. Wafer thin pizzas only good if you dont want flavour just amazement at how ridiculously low the cost ofaking their pizza is.Staff not very well informed about what customisations are possible and what are not... Run to the kitchen every timeOverall ok if you stumbled in.. lots of other places to visit deliberately
Food was very good as was the service by Amrinder.
Excellent food, limited selection of drinks, good ambience and great service
The Kerala tawa fry mutton was delicious and cooked to perfection.
