The Brabourne Stadium is a cricket ground in the Indian city of Mumbai, which was the home ground of IPL franchise Mumbai Indians. It can accommodate 50,000 people for sports matches. The ground is owned by the Cricket Club of India (CCI). The North Stand of the Brabourne housed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) headquarters and the 1983 Cricket World Cup trophy until 2006 when both were moved to the newly built Cricket Centre at the nearby Wankhede Stadium. The Brabourne Stadium hosted Test matches from 1948 to 1972 and it was the venue for Bombay Pentangular matches from 1937 until 1946. After disputes over ticketing arrangements with the CCI, the Bombay Cricket Association (BCA) built the Wankhede Stadium a few hundred metres north of Brabourne Stadium. After the Wankhede Stadium was built, Brabourne was no longer used for Test matches, although visiting teams played a few first-class matches at the ground. Apart from cricket, the ground has played host to tennis and football matches as well as music shows and concerts. In recent times, international cricket has returned to the Brabourne; it played host to the ICC Champions Trophy in 2006 and it was the venue for the first Twenty20 International played in India in 2007. Brabourne hosted a Test match in December 2009 after 36 years, thus creating a record for the biggest gap between two tests at the same ground. The ground was home to the Mumbai Indians, Several matches of the ICC Womens Cricket World Cup 2013 were held here. At its AGM in September 2013, the BCCI unanimously decided to allot international matches as per its rotation policy thereby bringing the ground back as a regular international venue. BCCI also used this stadium on 29 May 2014 for IPL playoffs that is eliminator between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. In IPL 2015 the venue was secondary home ground to the Rajasthan Royals.
Mumbai already has many cricket stadiums but not a single proper football stadium. A city with millions of people deserve a proper football stadium & this stadium should be converted to football stadium. With proper renovations this can be one of the best football only stadium in country. Football infrastructure is only key for us to be better in FIFA & see our NT in World Cup.

Stadium filled with rich history surrounding Indian cricket . Watched India vs West Indies odi match here and got the best seat in the house in the North stand . Amazing experience watching the match without any hassles , the stadium has been properly managed even without any international matches being played there .
Cricket fans in the house give me a cheer! You cant really express the amount of energy this stadium has, when dhoni played his last match as captain this entire stadium had a houseful of college kids and i was one of them. Hope you find it amazing!

Lovely place & fond old memories
As long as I can remember I was always in awe of Brabourne Stadium. I associate cricket with it and find it difficult to associate cricket with any other ground build later. Its majestic and I will always hold it high in my esteem
Once it was the only stadium in Bombay where many test matches have been played.
Its a good stadium. Boundaries are very small. Now no international matches are played here. Mostly some concerts happen there. Recently I went for A R Rahman concert. The arrangements were not good. They had portable toilets which were very dirty. Food stalls were not properly organised. The food was expensive but quality was not good. As other people have mentioned inside stadium there is network issue internet data does not work there.

One of the oldest cricket stadiums in India. The venue has hosted many iconic matches and has been a crowd favourite for a long time.Very conveniently located in the downtown of the city, it is easily approachable from public transport too.The surroundings feature a good residential area and shopping streets as well.Events other than cricket as also hosted here.Well recommended for both cricket fans and others.
Cricket lovers paradise.
Definitely a place to stay!
Heart of Mumbai cricketThis stadium has experienced so many stars of India and international cricket
My childhood play ground but now no entry for general public
It looked.like new led lights were being tested.
Good traditional ground
Big and beautiful stadium.
Very clean and neat place
A very British Raj set building with some great cricket memories. Has a great cricket ground with excellent facilities for members. The food is great and the staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately unless a game is being played most of it out of bounds. If you can check it out.
K Rustom is famous ice cream joint.

Awesome,fantastic and beautiful place
🌞
Play equipment can encourage human body to be more active, building their muscle groups and fine motor skills in the process. Swings, slides, climbers and other types of equipment encourage children to develop their balance, speed, agility and coordination. Getting kids in the habit of exercise and making it a fun activity can help encourage kids to stay active throughout their lives.
CCI stadium
One of the oldest cricket stadium is brabourne. This stadium is popular spot for hosting cricket test matches. Located at posh locality in south mumbai, one can easily go to marine drive(queens necklace) and nearby to restaurants like relish and 210(Bakery). Even the metro is coming up near the stadium. For cricket fans and those who love south mumbai especially marine drive a benefit for them.
Nothing comparable in Mumbai city. Not by a mile 🙂
Well maintained
Good place to walk
I agree that it is one of the oldest and beautiful stadiums in the country located near Church gate station. I watched a ODI match here. As a fan of cricket, I am writing this review. The management and the amenities are very horrible here. Even a glass of water costs 10/- that too the supply is not adequate with the demand. No water bottles and eatables are allowed inside. The rates of every item is sky high. Pepsi costs you 60/-. Nothing is available free of cost here. Cant they at least provide a glass of water as they are piggy bagging at least 800 per ticket. Further 800/- seating is on a cement lane . No chairs. This is what we deserve for 800/-. Have you ever seen a stadium in Australia or England. How beautiful they are!. Worth for every penny you pay.. I will never watch a cricket match in India.MY ONLY REQUEST IS PLEASE MAINTAIN THE STADIUMS PROPERLY AND DO JUSTIFY THE MONEY WE PAY.
Good place. CCI Clubs food and service is good. Very very reasonably priced.
Wonderful experience. Special the club... The evening in this place is out of the world experience. Good food. Although not a very friendly staff..but the ambiance and the overall experience is simply great memories to cherish. Hopefully a place where you always want to come but depends upon your luck. I hope the membership of this club is next to impossible.

Love this stadium, as it brings the nostalgic memories of Brabourne Stadium back when I was last here. This stadium had hosted Test matches from 1948 to 1972, and was the venue for Bombay Pentangular matches from 1937 until 1946. Biggest cricket ground in India & one of the two in mumbai.Always treat to watch the game here.Blessed by some of the worlds best cricketers at a time
It is also known as Brabourn stadium. They have club with modern facilities and club house and guest rooms.Excellent dining facility.
I had some good memories here. Watching one practice match between England vs MCA 11 back in 2016. Good stadium but requires to increase seating capacity
