Excellent dinner with friends. The service was very good and the food delicious. There were 4 of us and we were all very happy with our meals. I was the only vegetarian in the group and found that there were multiple options. The only small issue was that we had requested 2 separate bills, but we’re given 1. This was rectified right away. I would highly recommend and definitely go back the next time we’re in Montreal.

I was very excited to have found an Indian restaurant in Montreal but my excitement didnt last any longer. The curries are not even close to what authentic Indian curries taste like. The chef and owner should visit India, eat authentic Indian food especially curries in Delhi, Punjab, Mumbai or Pune and then sit together and work on the recipes. The best recipes can be found on YouTube channels of well-known chefs like Ranbir Brar, Tarla Dalal or Sanjeev Kapoor. The food was so expensive. We paid $130 for 2 pakodas, 2 curries, 1 daal and 4 naans (for the food we didnt even like)Highly disappointing experience!

Gandhi is one of my favourite Indian Fine dinning restaurants in Montreal. The menu has a great Vegetarian and Vegan options. The service is exceptional. The dishes here are Aloo mattar, paneer in cream sauce and daal. Nan is fresh and soft. I prefer the gulab jamoon to be served warm & fresh.

Ambience is good, a bit loud music. Like the papadum as starter. Showing good quantity of liquor but actually very less coices available, checked they have black label on show case but when orderd they have red label which is over priced, obviously as expected.Ordered Shahi Paneer. Tastes like MTR or KNOR ready made food which we can make at home just addig milk, water and paneer. Extremly high priced.Like dal tadka good in taste. It is extremly high priced restaurant as compare to others in the city.

This is our 3rd time here over the past few years. The food continues to be excellent. The lamb curry a nice hearty stew, and the Ghandi Plat a generous mix of tandoor and tikka. Our problem was with the service. Two people covered the entire restaurant. One did essentially all the work while the senior person did as little as possible it seems. He pointed us to a table but didnt expend the energy to walk us there. Dropped by with menus after we had downloaded and checked out the contactless one, but didnt stick around long enough to take a drink order. Spent more time chatting with customers than working, while the other server bussed, took orders, refilled, and generally worked his tail off. Give one of them a raise.

We ordered this in for delivery from UberEats and it was very good. We were trying to find gluten free Indian food in the city, which is apparently not easy to do. I got the Sagwala with chicken and my husband got the chicken vindaloo and garlic naan (not gluten free). I really liked my dish and the rice was cooked well and the portions were quite large, which is good since it was pretty expensive. The only thing that I didnt like is that they do NOT have gluten free items marked on the menu, so I had to add a note asking them to please ensure that each dish was gluten free (except the naan, of course). They marked every container that was gluten free, but it would nice if they marked the menu with this information.

An unassuming Indian restaurant located in the fancy part of town. The ambiance is super simple. It appears from the location and the crowd that this restaurant is primarily serving Indian cuisine to mainstream audience. The menu contains the stereotypical Indian food. Our server was somewhat abrupt and had an air of this is how it is - like it or leave it. Maybe it was a busy night. Serving sizes for the price was quite small. 1 portion is good for 2 ppl. Same curry was ordered again, and it was not the same consistency. Dessert was not great - looks like they use ready frozen items and deck it up slightly.

It seems like an Indian Mughlai Restaurant. However, on the contrary, it is more of an Bangladeshi twist to Indian food. It is well situated but a lot of the items in the menu tasted out of the freezer (even the lachha parantha) and dressed up to be put on your table. We were really excited to find this restaurant- but extremely disappointed with the food. Rotten vegetables in salad, Frozen chicken of poor quality (microwaved), Margarita which had mere foam rather than tequila. See pictures and judge. They said all window tables are booked. But we sat for more than 1 hour and no one came. One guest entered. From body language we can make out they are walk in. We further asked how come they r seated on window seat, to which staff rep(lied) that they r thru online booking. If you are Indian - don’t come here. The quality of food and taste is not for you. If you are non-Indian - beware of rotten things.

A friend ordered take out yesterday at lunch. The Tandoori chicken was edible but dull, the Lamb tikka masala was an abomination. It tasted as though someone had taken some pre-cooked lamb and dropped it in a jar of Pataks paste and heated it slightly ...a truly nasty concoction. Each of us struggled not take away the leftovers. The mushroom Biryani lacked much in the quantity of mushrooms, Naan doesnt do well on takeout, this seemed an exceptionally flaccid example, thick and doughy. This meal seems to have been prepared by someone who has no feeling for food.

Worst experience ever at any restaurant anywhere in the world. The Manager turns aggressive when he finds out that you tipped less or did not tip at all. This is one of the few indian restaurants here in Montreal. We ordered chicken tikka in starter which was good in taste, but the quantity was very less(4 peices), in main course we had ordered naan and paneer makhni, naan was kind of baked bread, which is enough for 1 person. Gulab jamun as desert- I never expected gulab jamun to be like this, served in syrup which was very liquid-watery. The overall dish prices here are very high as per the quantity they serve.

Gandhi Restaurant is the closest to where we live for the past 10 years, so weve eaten their food about 7-8 times a year over the last decade and it was always delicious until Covid happened. I placed an order on their website just last week to be picked up at the restaurant and we have been tipping extremely generously (30%) to help support our local eateries. It pains me to say that it was the worst Indian food we have ever eaten. Out of the six items we ordered, they got three wrong, and we got only ONE naan of the three we had ordered. The naan was just horrible, very thick and fluffy and tasteless like regular white bread. The onion bhajii was also the worst weve ever eaten; just a ball of dough that looked like maybe somebody has stuck a couple slivers of onions to it on the outside, it was just awful. The butter chicken sauce was completely tasteless and watery thin. Very sad. Hope they can survive but we will definitely never go back.

Approximately 4-5 persons where there complaining because they took forever to give people their things, when they could have just told us to go by later when we ordered. Except safran rice which was literally without safran!!!- Youre gonna have hot towel at the end of your food. Before ordering dessert.- The prices are good. Our bill was 54$ for chicken Tikka masala, lamb Tikka masala, bread naan, safran rice. We added tips after.- I dont know why some people commented that tip is included in your bill!!

They seated us at a lovely secluded table by the window were I could show off my wife’s beauty. The food was excellent , from the plain Nann (I usually go for garlic nann but we are trying for our 7th ...😈) to the Tandoori shrimp, it all was very flavorful. It was as if I was transported back to my Reiki master training in Rishikesh. The chef even made sure to adjust the spice levels for my wife( don’t worry I gave her the heat later). The owner even gave us a digestif on the house!Overall, an excellent experience. If we end up having a boy we will name him Gandhi (Patrica if it’s a girl)!

We went here for dinner after reading some nice reviews. We went a little later in the evening, which was about 8:30 and it wasn’t overly busy. We were immediately served by at least three people after we sat down and I was getting a nice impression. However, after we ordered it took awhile for our server (servers?) to clear our appetizer plates, and they were only taken away as soon as the mains came and they had to make room. One of the servers was great at informing us about the dishes and what was in it, but we didn’t see him or anyone else again to check on the meals. I also had to get someone’s attention to ask for water. When you eat spicy Indian food you should make sure your customers always have water. I work in the hospitality industry and I was watching while some of them seemed to be just standing around. Not very good at all! Food was great but the service was what made our experience pretty disappointing.
