They had a very limited menu but thats really mouth watering. The way in which the food looks itself makes us hungry to grab a bite. And most interesting things was that we ordered a drink called Bloody Rasam just to try and we are not used to have such spicy and tangy drinks from the background we come. So employee asked weather we liked or not the drink and we said we didnt so they told we wont be charging for the drinks and thats was so nice of them even though it wasnt there fault they reimburse it. Customer service at best. MUST VISIT AND HAVE TASTE OF INDIA.
Youre simply the best.. Better than all the rest.. 🎵6 Stars - Hands down. The food.. The service.. The experience..Best Indian restaurant in Montreal.. I know it is not a high bar to clear and I know the menu lacks classics like Butter Chicken and Kebab. But every dish you taste here tastes like youre having them in India. We have visited this place many times and tried every single dish from the menu and were never let down. But finally decided to write a review today because of one experience. We were done with our meal and were chitchatting and the owner/chef (Lets call him Ben Stokes.. Internal joke) came with a flask and offered free chai to all 4 of us. How kind! The type of gesture that elevates a good experience to a great one. Keep doing what youre doing Le Super Qualité team.
I have ordered Pav Bhaji, Vada Pav quite a few times and it never disappoints me. They understand the food they are serving. I had a chance to visit the place recently and had an incredible experience. The coconut chutney served with Dosa has an authentic taste to it.Great place for vegetarians.*The best tea I had in canada*
Without a reservation for any restaurant on a Friday night, I was looking for a restaurant for dinner, and stumbled across Le Super Qualite, who operate on a first come, first serve basis. As a group of three, we ordered for a number of small plates and a thali, as well as some cocktails to compliment the meal. All of the appetizers were fun, however, seemed lacking in flavour, as if they were slightly toned down. I had a similar feeling for the thali, where many of the components underwhelmed. The one standout dish was the hakka inspired stir fried tofu, which was tossed in a spicy, sweet and acidic sauce.Overall, I feel like Le Super Qualite seems to be drinks focused, with an array of appetizers and small plates, but as a dining destination, I was not particularly impressed.
We were waiting to have some vada pav but didnt wanna remove the deep fryer and make some vadas so we tried the vada Pavs at this place. It was not bad, just alright. The red dry chutney that they put in had to be more garlic-y and more spicy and they should have asked if we wanted to add sweet chutney or not cuz the vada Pavs came with both the regular green chutney and sweet chutney in the bread and then this red chutney. We asked for more red chutney and they give it to us in one small container. The potato mixture too was low on spice. Needs more cilantro and green chillies chopped. We might just need to get the deep fryer out the next time we have a craving.
Best indian resto in that area. Better than any other. Service is fast. Taste is also good.
If you want some unique experience involving Indian street food, this is the place to go to. The place is small and cozy, you can come by and eat a few tapas style typical Indian dishes, that won’t take you long to eat. We tried everything and all of it was amazing. Finally, food is not too spicy and it makes it more accessible. I will definitely come back!!!!
Good Quality food with authentic taste. The owners are very mindful about the customers experience and quality of the food.I recently happened to be there to try the Kerala Thali after they opened up and I must say it was the same as I have had it earlier.Something, I would like to see more is an expanded south Indian snacks menu if possible and little bit more rice and sweet in Thali.
Not pretentious, exploding with flavour, fresh ingredients, and as the name infers - “super quality”. It’s been a long time since I’ve been impressed with an Indian restaurant in Montreal since most play it safe and serve up the typical Punjabi classics, but this joint makes no apologies and focuses on southern Indian food and blows it out of the park! I’ll definitely come back again.
6 stars! 3 québécois owners along with all québécois chefs. The chefs have never been to India, only interpreted the recipes from the owners who visited Kerala, Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra. The reviews are testimony to the fact that the owners have taken a HUGE risk in offering street food and that too in an area away from downtown or Plateau or Mile End. Prices are higher but the quality makes up for it. And these are niche items. The thali on rotation is just mind boggling. They had bhakri in a Maharashtrian thali and motta rice in Kerala thali. Speechless.Unbelievable food, take it from an Indian. This is the real deal. Limited menu but every item is just as back home. Love the little touches like the chai holder, tumbler for water, and of course the writings in Kannada and alphabet/vegetable chart in Marathi.Do yourself a favour and visit this place asap. I have never seen any restaurant where the chefs have interpreted the cuisine of an ethnicity without even being to that country. And they do it even better than any of the generic butter chicken and biryani/dosa places in ALL of Canada if not North America!
Food was really delicious and worth it.Good customer service.
Great service, courteous and competent. Great food and decent prices. Good place to share your meals with another person.
Food was amazing. Authentic Indian taste with perfect blend of spices. This place is highly recommended.
Going there for 3 years and by far best Indian food served by foreigners and I am just amazed every time I go there. Love :)
Le Super Qualité is an amazing place to eat and share some Indian snacks. I especially loved the Wada Pau, its a potato fritter made of 3 kind of chutney garlic coconut, peanut coriander, tamarind jaggery and between a heavenly bun and somehow its the best veggie patty I ever had. The service is really good, very attentive and helpful. I gave my name and waited like 10 min for a table on their cute terrace. I cant wait to go back and try other things on their menu.
Authentic Indian street food, all freshly made and very tasty, one of my favourite restaurants in Montreal
Loved this place, they had the most authentic taste I have tasted in Canada but everything was little and small in quality so when you order lot, your bill will rack up quickly. Perfect for small snacking but the portions wont fill you up unless you order multiple items. Expensive but worth the try if you like spicy as food is authentic spicy and there is no change in spice level as its same for everyone.
As someone who grew up eating these in India, I loved it.Got almost the same quality
Limited items on the menu but the food quality, taste and flavours are excellent! I’ve tried almost everything out here and every dish is recommendable. My personal favourite are vada pav and chai:)
My girlfriend and I really enjoy this wonderful place. We go there at least once a week! Le Super Qualité is the best Indian restaurant in Montreal!!They’re more than just creative with their presentation. Le Super Qualité is unique as they provide the best food and service!! We really enjoy their menu and of course our favorite drinks which are Mirinda and Bloody Rasam!! The story behind this restaurant is amazing!! Follow them on Instagram!! Eating there really makes us feel as were enjoying a wonderful meal in India!! Do yourselves a favor and go visit asap!!
They wrote few things in my Language Kannada, OMG! You stole my heart❤ best south Indian snacks. Offcourse south is always the best
Im Indian, Ive worked at Indian restaurants before, and I can say without a doubt this place is the best South Indian food Ive had in Canada. A must try.
I love indian food! This one is no different on this end but it is so different from the classic naan bread and butter chicken ;). You have to try this one out. If you try it, make sure to also order a biscuit. They are delicious
Highly recommendedToday I visited here. I must say what a taste ! Bravo! This is the first ever restaurant which I liked in Montreal. I ordered Dosa, vada pav, batata puri, Paav bhaji. Everything is same just like we are eating at Indian street or roadside stall. I also tried Chai which is same as chai ki tapri in India. All i want to say is the best restaurant, great and faster service, very friendly staff. Just Loved it 😍
Food is delicious. But, they forced us to give a tip. They told that we have rules like if you have more than six people for dinning than you should have to give 15% tip compulsory. Also, they talked rudely like its not india you should have to give a tip ...blaaa blaaa blaa.... LoL...Food: 5/5Place: 4/5Service:2/5
Le super qualite is one the best Indian cuisine restaurant in Montreal. Chef did his training in India. You can feel the taste of all the spices and that authentic Indian taste.I am never disappointed from the staff or service or the quality of the food offered here.If you wanna make your taste buds go happy and wild then try this place out. I can vouch for this place.Let me know your experience.
Only 3 bcs i liked only 2 items among all rest all taste not good
Probably the best Indian food I have ever had a chance to experience, bought me back to times I enjoyed street food with my buddies back home.Le super qualité is not a restaurant but an experience that can leave an impact on you for a long time.Go there and be pleasantly surprised what great food can do to your soul.
Staff was courteousWe were a big group and went towards the later part of the evening without reservations, so wait time had to be long. The only disappointing thing that the stuffing for masala dosa was almost finished and we were told this after placing the order, while waiting for our masala dosa. Ended up eating plain dosaThe dishes are simple.. Like the typical Indian Street food items.. limited item on the cards, but the taste meets the expectation to a great extent.Pricing is reasonable.Recommended..
Delicious food. Good dishes to share. Friendly service.
Excellent customer service Overall good experience
It was insanely delicious! Everything was perfect except the seats were limited. Not good for groups. Very friendly staffs. Must go place if you are in Montreal.Edited : I revisited this place after the renovation. I ordered exactly the same dishes from my previous visit, fried okra, puri, and bhaji. The fried okra and puri were good but I could see the difference of the amount of fried sev on the puri dish. The fried sev was poorly sprinkled on the dish then last time. When I had Bhaji last time, it had a good spice of india with buttery flavor but this time, I was confused of the flavor. It tasted more like salty sloppy joe this time. This place is still my favorite but I hope they can remain their good flavors for long time.
No words for this place because they make the same chai you get in india 🤗Best spot for chai lovers !!
Food was simply amazing. I have tried many Indian restaurants in Montréal so far. This place has best quality and taste out of all others. There is ample of sitting space inside and outside. The menu is short. But things do taste exactly as we get in India. We have ordered dosa , paw bhaji, vada paw , dahi batata poori and kurkuri bhindi. Everything was perfect. The quantity is little less in comparison with other places.Would definitely come back here for the taste.
Love it food is soo good second time today more to go
Extremely flavourful food and truly an authentic experience! I love their eco conscious tiffins as well. Wish they had more than 2 vegan options but apart from that I really can’t complain! Delicious and well worth a visit!EDIT:Still delicious and for sure the most authentic Indian food I’ve had in the city. The service is quick and friendly. The dosa is crispy and just the right amount of spicy - the coconut chutney really balances well! There’s a terasse where you can sit outdoors and enjoy your meal!
Nice quality but I am not happy with the quantity of the food. But yes you are millions of miles away from India and missing the taste of delicious and spicy Indian food, its the only place in Montreal to get that taste. I am giving four star because I am not happy with quantity.
Bargar is my all time favourite and I need 3-4 easy to kill my craving, later wash it down with a chilled thums up. Honestly in nearly 2 years of my experience with this restaurant I never had a bad meal, same applies to their second branch also.
You know how they say when you want to know if an ethnic restaurants is good, you gotta see if they have some POC staffs or chefs or patrons? Well at first sight it felt like a white owner opened this place and is making money off the indian culture. Hoping that the chefs were at least of indian descent, unfortunately they aren’t. The menu itself gives me a headache due to the bad graphic design. When the food came, we discovered that it’s a flavour palate catered to North America. There was a lot of sweetness in the Panner plate, and also soy sauce in Indian food? Never heard of it.The thali had some weird flavours and combination that I haven’t tasted in any Indian food. There was an over-sweet okra curry, over salted ramsam, lentil has a new flavour that was interesting and then a refreshing cucumber salad. All in all, I don’t know what they’re trying to achieve here, but I think it’s an acquired taste catered for people who’s never had indian before.
Please try all the local cuisines here. Im a regular customer from today! 😁
Initially was hesitant to check out this place as the menu said Indian snacks but WOW, I’m so glad we went. The ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful. Small so wouldn’t recommend for big groups. We ordered dahi puri, vada pav and the “bargar”. Food was SO delicious and amazing. We expected the chef to be south Asian but was very surprised to find that the food was cooked by a bunch of people who backpacked through India and learned the cooking style. Please open a restaurant in Vermont!! We’re missing some good Indian food here 😪
Although the menu is limited, the food is actually quite delicious. I’ve tried the Pav Bhaji and Wada Pav twice so far and it’s been tasty both times. I can’t wait to try the other items on the menu.
Undoubtedly one of the best places to have Indian food in montreal.finger licking , lip smacking food that would make you feel as if youve been transported back to India. much visit for every one who likes to gorge on Indian food.
Wow loved their pani puri and vada pav (they also server salted green chili with this, I never tasted authentic aloo samosas in Montreal, we would like to see if you can make authentic aloo samosa, they go very well with this green chili) so authentic, also just loved their okra, The owner is working on Ambur biryani receipe, he gave us for tasting it is so yummy 😋😋😋
Authentic Indian food. Never fails to amaze with their authenticity. From vada pav to panipuri to thali to dosa, they have are the masters of everythingDont forget to sip a cup of cutting tea after the delicious meal. Total indian way.
Best Vada Pav in Montreal and Ottawa!
Went with 2 young kids so had to do a takeout. I would say its the best Indian street food i ever had in Montreal. You cant compare this to a normal Indian restaurent which serves butter chkn and vindaloo and naan etc etc. I would go back again n again n again ! Great job guys! Keep it up. Cheers.Amar
Super tasty food, loved it. Totally recommended.
Amazing dosa!!! The fried okra was cool too.
It is a succulent and delicious Indian snack bar. We took a Fried Okra, Vada Pav and the burger Bargar (for the burger week). They were made perfectly. It tasted like authentic Indian meals. They even had India soda like Limca. Le Super Qualité the place to go and try !
Very authentic tastes and presentation.Super close to how you would get those same dishes in India. Not a big menu, but all dishes are well selected and perfected in every aspect. The spice level is also a perfect representation of the Indian taste.I highly recommend it to everyone, specially to Indians who are away from home and crave for that awesome vada paos and pav bhaji.Their vada pao was phenomenal. Every detail was taken care of.They even packed it in Indian style!
Awesome south indian food!
I ordered Pav bhaji which was too salty and the insiders were very rude towards the feedback !!
This place was awesome...I loved their Thalis and their chaat. I used to crave them every week.I recently had their Dahi chaat and it was amazing! They sent a little note with instructions on how to put it together at home. That was great! The pav bhaji was a bit of a disappointment and the burger didnt work for me at all. I didnt enjoy having chaat chutneys, especially the tamarind chutney in a burger. But overall they are pretty good!
Good Indian food, authentic South Indian food.
The pao bhaji was superb will go again
Quite a simple place in terms of the interior, but the cuisine here is simply great !!!
Just finished yet another AMAZING MEAL! I make sure to get something different every time I eat or order here, and it tastes like Im in India every time! And the sweetest people work here too. I cant recommend it enough!
Best Dahi Batata puri ever ♥️
Authentic Indian food!
Amazing presentation and tasteful. Very upscale compared to regular Indian ( at 7-11$/ dish) but quite expensive. Worth it double the price ? Not sure...! Too each their own , but worth to give it a try at least once.
Canadian preparing, cooking authentic Indian cuisine! They have travelled all over India and learnt cooking Indian style. Please do not hesitate, go for Le super qualite.
Food doesnt taste like the authentic Indian dishes but good attempt!
Authentic, loved the chai, felt like I am in India
Really nice place to visit with friends.Bonus- they also serve Thums up instead of coca cola.👍
Great Indian food! Good mix of old school and new school. Dosa was surprisingly good. I’ve had just about everything on the menu and it’s all been great.
Supero super!!! I am from andhra and had the andhra thali coincidentally. Tears in my eyes. I cook everyday but it felt so good when I was served the same home cooked meal feeling in a restaurant with minimum effort from my end. I didnt even realise I was eating with my hands and not a spoon. I just dug into ghee rice ( sona masoori and not basmati) and had the real finger licking good food experience. As suggested if you can manage rhumsup with old monk and thumbs-up with a side of Sabudana wada.. You are gold.Best origin story - the chef and owner are French Canadiens. They not only have developed an authentic taste but continue to serve the same. Just try the chai and you will know.@owners - SuperIndianChef
One of best Indian food restaurant.
We have now a fav. Indian resto to fill out souls and stomaches with good vegetarian food 😍
Great Food!!! Incroyable(Amazing) place, service. Must visit to have délicieux(delicious) Indian snacks in Montreal.

Must try everything, great food, Quality👌
Tired the Vegie Thali for the first time at Le Central, its little plates with lentos, okra, yogurt, cucumbers, rice and bread; delicious.
Amazing food and service
