Propa nice place good if your taking kids

The food was nice had the steak n chips which was really nice, but staff need to acknowledge customers, told me to take any seat then I had to get my own menu and look for him to order, then had to get a container to put my food in for takeaway then look for a bag, other than that it was okay. But customer acknowledgement is key 🔑

I’m not one to complain but the group I was with, I heard some gripes about the service. None the less, whatever they lacked in service they made up in quality and taste of the food. I am somewhat lost for words. The portions, the flavouring was something else. Had steak at chips and can’t recommend it enough. This place is a must try.

This place used to be really good. I went again 2 days ago and it was the opposite! Ordered a few starters which were decent and steak and chips as the mains course.The steak was really tough, dry and lacked essentially seasoning. I would’ve expected the quality to be like it was a few years ago, especially at the price range they were charging.Waiter was in his own world and lacked the hospitality that’s needed in restaurants. He took ages to bring our cutlery etc and when we asked him for descriptions on some of the menu items - he kept short and with no info given!

Food was nice as usual.. but few down falls.. not enough ventilation in the rooms and its cash only!! All round Id still return for the food

We came round here as its our last time eating out before the 2nd lockdown. Best menu Ive seen in a while and the food did not disappoint service was good and food came quick. Place is not that big but you could get 6 adults on each table. There is parking after 6.30 on side street first left or right before/after restaurant. Toilets are clean and social distancing quite easy. Deff recommend this place. Will be back again.

Went hear with friends for late night food, ordered a platter and it did not take time to arrive although it was a weekday. Food was nice, service was nice and price reasonable Over a good place to eat with your friends. Foods always great on delivery. Slow service in store though. Food never disappoints.

The worst service you could probably experience in any restaurant. Tables and chairs all filthy with left over food from previous customers. Asked the waiter twice politely if he could clean. His reply was to do it myself. And then when i asked him why he was being rude, he said i could go eat elsewhere if i wasnt happy. I left the premises.Worst experience ever. You dont need this especially when you are with family.Avoid at all costs!!

If youre looking for good food then this is the exact place you need to be. Their service is great and food is packed with so much flavour that you could never leave disappointed.

Braai is dry. Gone downhill, was my favourite restaurant couple years back.Steak was so hard. Almost like rubber. Couldnt eat it.

This place used to be something decent.Went fairly recently, place was empty but most tables hadn’t been cleaned. Still had plates from previous customers. The table we were shown to was unwiped and sticky.Ordered a rib eye steak in medium rare which came sliced in three, which leads me to believe they’re just using up random slabs of meat. All the steaks on our table were served like this, none were cooked as requested, all were well done.All the mojitos had brown mint leaf pieces. There was more brown than greenery…Mash was without a doubt pre-made, it was served to us in the same logs that it probably came in with the package. Bland and stale.Everything tasted a bit …tangy?Glanced into the kitchen, staff didn’t seem to have any gloves, hats etc. and it didn’t look particularly clean…If you’re looking for the Jungle Braii experience from 10+ years ago, that’s long gone. Oh and they don’t take card because of course they don’t 🙄Don’t bother.

Truly South African taste in London. Managed to taste after months since lockdown. Really good food and HMC . Brain flavouring need to be increased to original level. It used to be more floavrsome.

The food is tasty they do make you wait a long time .I was really disappointed with the nachos it was like just over a hand full of nachos could not even see the cheese on them and cost £6, hardly any salsa rest of the food was great . Around £10 pound for a meal.

Outstanding food!! Didnt really have any expectations before going in but was very pleasantly surprised. Not normally a salad person but I would definitely recommend their jungle salad 👌 had the platter for 3. They were all very very nice. Definitely recommend!!!

Great to try a new place locally, never had South African before. We ordered: one massive and very tasty veggie burger, lamb chops, chicken fritters, coleslaw, chips, and two dips. Portions were very generous, tasty, and the prices are very reasonable (massive burger £7.90, big enough to share).

This restaurant is easily one of my favourites. Came here for Dinner (Iftar) during Ramadan , I booked and ordered over the phone in advance. Food was served bang on time. The steak was delicious and the burger was perfect. The milkshakes are to die for & definitely worth all the calories!!

Very decent, I go especially for their jungle salad

I have visited Jungle Braai multiple times over the past decade. The restaurant has recently undergone a renovation and standards have improved slightly compared to what I had been used to.Overall the quality of food is high, the selection of meats and the accompanying sauces are tasty. We also ordered the vegetarian option, which was a veggie burger and surprisingly it was very tasty, as usually outlets that primarily focus on meats tend to have vegetarian options of a poorer quality.The ambience is cosy and warm, however the air con was on, like another reviewer previously mentioned and we did feel a bit chilly, and although we did mention it to the waiter, I dont think anything was done. Despite this, the customer service is generally excellent, we were made aware in advance that our order would take long and were provided with complimentary pitta and hoummous dip to soften the wait. We paid around £90 for four 11 ounce steaks, two burgers, six sides and five drinks and we all felt it represented good value for money based on portion sizes and quality/quantity of food ordered.I think this is a definitely a place for foodies to visit and try out!

Customer service terrible, waited 1hr for food! Even when we made a phone order 1hr upon arrival. Burnt my mouth on the hot chips! Now I have ulcers in my mouth which I need to fork out to treat. They would not even reimburse for bonjela! I asked for replacing the chips to sweet potato fries and the Patel charged me double! I ordered medium rare steak and it came out as a burnt Eaton mess! Also it was time to break our fast and they only had 2 glasses left in the entire restaurant! Told us to share glasses of water between 7 people! Customer service appalling! Nobody came to clear table so I had to resort to cleaning the entire table! Very disappointed would definitely not recommend this place to any sane being! Would not come here ever again!

Absolutely disgusting behaviour, I ordered from just eat, they deliver it, I called after an hour to see where my food was, they said another 15 mins, then I called after 20 mins, for them to just hang up on me, when Im not even being rude at all, then for the person to say just cancel, what BAD BAD BAD customer service.

We ordered the platter for 3 which consists of little bits of everything. And a full rack of ribs. Its served on a sizzler.The service was ok but the time for service the food was long. Overall a poor execution and with no consistency between the 3 platters ordered. The meat was tender but prawns was quite rubbery. Everything here is served with the same sauce which is quite lacking. The portions are really for 3 even though advertised for 3 even though we had left over chicken. There is not much difference in texture with lamb chops and steak (flat and slim) being the same, 5 tiny king prawns and a whole chicken. (Not served at the same time)Full rack of ribs was small and chewy and again dressed in the same sauce.Steak chips served are not steak chips rather fat chip. Coleslaw was nice. Corn along with most of the platter was burnt. No skill here.The food didnt look too appetising as it was placed with no care or plan.The mocktails are terrible would avoid it. £3.50 per glass with the wrong ratios of syrup ice and fruit juice.Prices where ok. Not reccomended by me. Whilst there a customer called asking what the meat was...the manager replied I dont know.. I think Lamb Beef.. was quite amusing.

Excellent food as usual, they have the most delicious BBQ chicken wings and other foods are always cooked and presented properly, the only thing i would say is maybe to get new plates but that doesnt take away the fact that the food is excellent.Food took about 30mins to prepare and serve

If you want your evening ruined, this place is highly recommended, we teuned up 6 45 pm food did not arrive until 8 45 , this isnt because they were busy.They had 4 tables which had customers, 3 had no food on them only one table had for at least 30 mins.Every time your heard the sizzler, everyone in that restaurant truned and looked as there was hope it may be there food.as everyone had been sittingand waiting for at least 1: 15.It is just the worst experience I have had in any restaurant .I have been to restaurants that are offeringHelp out eat out which had a mile long queue outside and was done quicker then this place.Dont get me wrong, the food was good, but the experience was terrible, plus no card payment.If you really want there food just order online.

Expected more from this restaurant i ordered food and mine was overcooked.. my husband ordered a steak which was undercooked. Plus some of my order was incomplete. Customer service could have been better. I personally wouldnt visit again!

Food was not bad have been here a few times with good service but this visit was not as good the waiter kept getting my order wrong and bringing things i did not order and my food took in total 50 min to come i thing at a time

If you enjoy steak, then do not go to this restaurant. This was the thinnest, and most clumsy looking T-bone that I have ever come across. Imagine one or two slices of roast beef joint, thats how thin this steak was. I dont know if the cow was anorexic or if theyre trying to get as much money as they can out of a normal sized piece of steak by shredding it down. Whatever it is, it doesnt work. On top of that, the steak was over cooked. I asked for a rare steak, but got extra well-done. I asked for it to be replaced and got another well-done steak. Both steaks were drenched in some kind of curry gravy, so you couldnt actually taste the meat properly. I would have ordered a curry if thats what I wanted. This place needs to step up, or be replaced by an actual steak house.There are other issues with this restaurant but I thought Id highlight the most important one. Otherwise I could sit here typing away forever.

I visited this restaurant while visiting family in E17. Excellent food I had a house special burger and fries the size of restaurant from outside is deceiving but the quality of the food was delicious. and service was excellent nothing to much trouble always polite and Very very clean

Top quality food

Tried this place for the first time on xmas eve and i was not disapppointed. Ordered an array of menu items and all were top notch. Everything well cooked, seasoned and marinated. Nothing was overly spicy or overly sweet. The firefly wings, chops, corn on the cob and chili chips stood out for me, delicous. Will definetely order again very soon

I was here for dinner one night. I was expecting a steak house .... the place is a bit small, but they made me sit down almost immediately. I got a burger, with some fries, and I have to say that overall it wasnt so bad. only the meat did not meet my expectations. fair price for the quality received. the only problem is that they did not receive card payments

Excellent customer service. Ordered large takeaway from them. Part of our order was missing as not enough Uber driver. From past experience, restaurants would not care to fix and would blame Uber but jungle braii wanted to make sure we received our full order and they sent one of their driver to drop off missing order. Thought was very nice if them.

Food was being served with 10 minute intervals between a group of 6, after waiting an hour and half for food to arrive during not busy hours. Hygiene on cutlery and plating wasnt good either, found red dirt on knifes.

I went there to try out the steak.Extremely disappointed.My friend ordered medium and i got a medium rare steak. It was exactly the same. Worst thing was, the meat was boiled in water, not how a steak should be cooked.When i spoke to guy serving us, he only offered to refund my drink money back.We didnt feel like we were particularly welcomed.When youre charging customers at a certain rate, good customer service is important. In this case, it was non existent.Thats my last visit to this place.

I came here on weekend with two colleagues we ordered full chops rack whole grilled chicken and 1 bowl of salad with fries pitta bread and drinks. Food took slightly longer to get ready. We loved food and bills was less than £50. Overall 9/10

Been coming here for years and it just seems to be getting worse over time. Today seemed like rock bottom. The waiter misunderstood everything I said and by the time the food came the chips were double or triple fried meaning they were old, the burger was overcooked and chewy, the fish was a stomach ache on a plate and the salad was rotten. When advising the staff they were not apologetic and they didnt even take 10% off of our bill. They also overcharged us for an extra drink so we had to go back and get that money. Not surprised that the geezer had a black eye.

4 people went, at least one complaint per person, steak was well done rather than medium, burger bun was rock solid, milkshake was watery, corn on the cob was a plastic display piece, chicken was hot on the outside, cold on the inside, chips were refried, it doesnt even deserve a star it deserves a circle

The food was nice. The service not so much.Also, there was a leak above our target letting which means there was yellow liquid that fell on our table, around our food on on our hair! The owners are aware of this and when we complained, they apologised and gave us a few complimentary hot fudge cakes with ice cream.The price was reasonable, however the place doesnt accept cards. Great customer service and food tastes really nice. One thing which is excellent is that, there is parking behind the place and its free after 6pm. Only lacking in one thing is the portion sizes and the plates in which they serve. I rather restaurants be consistent with size and there portions.
