What an absolutely amazing restaurant. We got the 1lb tomahawk steak as it was on offer and it was perfect. The spinach, mash and aubergine are to die for. The beers are great and to top it off you get a home made ice cream included. Expected to spend £100+ for the two of us and we spent less than £50.
Ive been to Gaucho, Hawksmoor, Miller & Cater...the lot.My conclusion is that Flat Iron is the best out of the bunch. The best steak you can come across in London.Money isnt everything, its the love and passion thats put into the food. Thats what Flat Iron has done. A simple but special menu, so that they can deliver to the highest quality.Me and the wife actually came back the next day for round 2!Also - the cocktails...wow! I think thats probably the best Old Fashioned Ive tasted in London.
This place is a pleasure for the heart and mouth-watering & Im gonna tell you why.Its not only because in all of their franchise in the city you can get the best meet quality for a reasonable price!You can breathe the atmosphere of friendship behind the stuff much welcoming you, which is genuinely pleased to get you all you need.Popcorn will keep you company while deciding which meet suits you best. And for sure it will!!A perfect Ice Cream will be waiting for you after the bill, giving the token-logo back at the bar. You deserve all you can see in picture fair £88.88 dived for 3 and a bottle of wine! What else?Ill say that only Dario Cecchini in Panzano can be better...Carry on like this guys! Well done. Flat iron never lets you down. The steak is amazing quality and well presented for an accessible price - £12 + £1 for a choice of sauce (ofc peppercorn sauce!)We also ordered 3 sides - highly recommend aubergine and the tomato. The mash was a bit too strong with the bone marrow taste for us, so we didn’t finish and probably won’t order again.With a soft drink each, the bill comes to £50 - a fair price for steak and the central location at Covent Garden.Must check out!
Small menu and quick turnaround. Our order came in 5 minutes. Medium rare flat iron steak, cant go wrong with it. It was cooked to perfection. Sauces are flavourful and sides are innovative and interesting. Cocktails are great, I recommend the g&t and the passion fruit one. Overall, lives up to the hype. Free ice cream at the end of the meal :) Great staff, always enthusiastic and cheerful.
Ate here with friends during a weekend away. Although I am not generally a burger fan, I thought the wagyu cheeseburger sounded nice and it did not disappoint. The patty was not too thick and the cheese oozed wonderfully out of the sides. I have to say it’s probably the best burger I have had. I had the creamed spinach on the side and that was lovely too. This restaurant is great value. The menu is basic but sufficient, the staff were brilliant and the free ice cream cone on the way out finished the meal perfectly. Highly recommended
Great value for money for the quality you get.Theyre a famous stakehouse. Make sure youre only going for steak because there arent many other options.Their steak, ambiance, service and quality is all good.Ive tried their burgers which at the time of writing this is a Limited Edition on the menu and it is AMAZING.They dont have desserts but on the way out you can grab a free ice cream (custard favor with cholcate flakes added on top in the end.Overall a great place to eat or to meet friend or for an occasion.
The best meal in London so far!Not just because of the great quality of food and the brilliant drinks they create, but a genuine friendly service. They couldnt do enough to help and were pleasant the whole time we were there. The menu is simple but brilliant and very well priced.Oh and did I mention ice cream... After the meal a token was provided in the form of a tiny meat cleaver which could be traded not just at the time of your meal but any time afterwards for a delicious ice cream cone.I will most definitely be returning again!!
5 stars for their simple menu, friendly service and good quality food. The steak is tender, easy to eat and cooked to your liking. Ordered mine to be medium rare, however, you know it wasnt left to set for long enough as there was blood pooling on the plate. Had the mash and fries as sides - these were also delicious. Was slightly disappointed that the steaks dont come with a small pot of salad anymore but at least the popcorn is still there!
Me and my friends ordered 4 medium steaks. When we had the steaks, half of it was medium well and another half was basically well done. All of the steaks we ordered were overcooked.The chips was still delicious, I wouldn’t recommend to buy the truffle Mayo, they are good but not amazing.Service experience was excellent, everyone seems to enjoy working.
The flat iron is of course a to go place in london. It has many branches so you can go to whichever is convenient for you. So this is a to go place in london because it is a convenient cheap place to get a steak. The steak was good and worth for its price. Even though i had a bad experience with one of the steak since it was quite pungent scent like a lamb not sure why not gonna lie about this, the manager directly took it off from the bill. Maybe its just a bad dispatch of the beef. The sides were pretty amazing though not gonna lie. The ice cream that you can get after you pay using the small ax token is okay though, but i just love the sides so much. This is recommended and would go back again for convenient cheap steak.
We visited here yesterday before going to see a show! I’m so glad we found it, the food was incredible, staff were super friendly and there’s a little surprise at the end which everyone will love! Also a great drinks selection
We happened to be leaving a theatre show and was actually looking for a bar for a drink...but as it happened ended up here having a sit down meal 🤷♂️🤣What a brilliant place! Really friendly staff, simple menu, perfect steak! Amazing value for money and the free ice cream made the impromptu visit a great finish to our evening. Will definitely recommend to friends!
Love, love, LOVE this place!!! Great food at extremely great prices. The service is always excellent and food comes out so quickly. Management really made mums birthday by helping us with our reservation when delayed due to unexpected issues. We always have a great experience when dining in any of their establishments.

Had to wait an hour and a quarter for a table as we couldnt reserve, but got drinks next door to kill time. Once we were in, the staff were friendly, gave us free water and a mug of popcorn once we sat down. Food was outstanding and came less than 5 minutes after ordering! Very well priced and got a voucher for free salted caramel ice cream at the end, couldnt fault the experience at all.
If I could give this play 5* plus I would.If you want a great stake at a reasonable price, then try Flat Irons. As they only do steak, they do it very well and the turn over is so high that the steak is always fresh. Friendly customer service and great cocktails too.I would recommend making a reservation if you’re planning on going in the evening as we had to wait an hour and half for the next available space.
We had a lovely steak there last night. Thats all they do - steak lol. And sides and stuff. But they do do it extremely well and in a cool buzzy environment. Lovely staff and the cocktails were not too shabby either. A great find that Id be happy to return too any day.
Great steak, really enjoyable evening. This probably goes without saying but dont go here if you dont like steak, the menu is quite limited if thats the case, but if you do, great. We had a really nice time. Great relaxed service, nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Also very affordable for steak out. Would be great to with friends.
Celebrated my birthday there once and went there again a few times after that. All I can say is that it’s one of the best steak places in London you’ll ever go! The steak is so soft and juicy that you’ll fall in love with it. The wagyu burger is also definitely worth a try. Love the cute caramel ice cream they give out when you’re leaving the restaurant too! Very happy with the customer service too!

You wont find better service and food at such a great price. I was expecting a great steak, however what we got was unlike any other steak weve tried at different steak houses. We were greeted with complimentary popcorn and a jug of water, which was fantastic and unexpected. The staff were amazing, from the waiter at the door who kindly got us a table even though we didnt have a booking, to Veronica who was knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly - she explained the different palettes of the wines to us, and took our orders quickly even though it was a busy period.We were also offered free salted caramel ice cream at the end, which was a lovely touch! We will most definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely time.
Popped in for cocktails. Excellent staff, inparticular an Italian waiter who was chatty and friendly. He even gave our birthday girl a token for their ice cream booth which was a lovely gesture.
Steak wasnt as good as I expected, but for a £12 steak in the high end of touristville, I shouldve expected what I got. Aparently, the rib eye special is much better - but being a special its not always available. I like a fair bit of salt on my steak but I remember as I walked away from the restaurant a destinctly very salty steak aftertaste. I hadnt added any salt to the steak...The house red was okay, Italian so fairly light. We also ordered some merlot to go with our steak, but by the time wed finished our steaks... (slowly in anticipation of the next wine arriving) it hadnt come. So we cancelled it, paid quickly and left.It was a suitable experience of touristville eating, I wont rush to go back, many other side street options. Its a shame. I heard its really good.
Can’t go wrong with steak and chips (both of which were delicious). We also tried the creamed spinach, which was delicious and tasted exactly like the inside of spinach raviolis. The service wasn’t amazing, but all was solved by free (very salty) popcorn and ice cream. Would recommend.

The staff were collectively the most welcoming and friendly people, that it just made the dining experience so chill and enjoyable. My steak and sides were all delicious. The ambience was lovely and the special ice cream treat at the end of the night was a great surprise. Will definitely be dining again. Loved it!
The menu choice is limited, because they are a steak house. What they serve, is simple ( and I dont mean that as a negative). The chips are great, the steak, the sauce, the sides and the service... just very very good and the staff were great. I am so pleased we went, very good to know about. No deserts, just a little flat iron token (which my wife wanted to keep instead but didnt) that you trade in for an ice cream when you are leaving. THANK YOU @FLATIRON
Excellent steak. Limited menu but what they do, they do well. Good idea for a quick meal before the theatre. Love the idea of a token for an ice cream on your way out instead of pud. Gets you on your way and clears their table quicker.
Steak is good and the mushrooms sauce, OMG, is delicious.Dont expect much from the free ice cream.I think its better to keep the little pendant as souvenir, if thats possible of course.The staff is super friendly. I loved this place and the food.

Wanted somewhere for lunch near to Covent Garden. Never been here before, though Ive walked past it countless times. Didnt know what to expect but VERY pleasantly surprised.Extremely friendly service, the food was excellent and the prices were very good for the area.Its a limited menu - if you dont like meat dont bother going - basically 2 mains on the menu, steak or a burger. The steak was excellent however. All sides are extra, including fries, but our total bill, with 3 glasses of nice wine and service included, was under £50. Oh, and that included complimentary ice cream.Its not a place for a romantic meal, but not many places around Covent Garden are. Will definitely return.NB book if you want a pre-theatre meal, it may be big but its popular and busy.

Flat Iron probably one of the most best steak place in London. Not forget to mention their tastiness was absolutely amazing. Definitely will back again someday when i come to visit London. Really really worth for every single pound. Try the craft beer! Their nice. I came here for lunch at first time. Couple days later came back here for dinner, i have to like almost 2 hours to have a table. I strongly suggested to made a reservation for dinner.

Came here on a Thursday evening at 5, for my last meal at Flat Iron before leaving the Country, and it was amazing! Our waiter Mat has been so kind and available, service was very quick and the food was so tasty! Definitely recommend to all my friends and hope to have the opportunity to taste such fine steak once back in London.Thank you to all the staff for a great night! ❤️
Good priced meal in casual atmosphere.Their steak is now £12. I think they season and cook it really well. I order my steak rare and not all restaurants get that right but the chefs here so a good job. Their chips are really crispy, which I like. The aubergine side dish is one of the best. The mini cleavers are a nice touch. And best of all, theres a free ice cream cone at the end. I like this branch the best. Usually theres a pretty long wait but if you go off peak time, its much faster to get a table. I would definitely recommend this place
No dessert menu, steak good, asked for vinegar for chips, didnt have any, service good, wouldnt return not enough choice, no veggie option, wine of poor quality
The steaks here are amazing. So tender and flavorful. The chips we ordered is very crunchy and fresh. The mash potato is a must have, so rich and smooth. Also the caramel ice-cream, sooo good as well.

Their food is delicious, the steak is really tender and cooked to perfection, the sides are good as well and the prices are so reasonable, I just wish if they have more options even I understand the idea behind this restaurant but it will be good if they can offer variety options specially a vegetarian ones. I think they need to work more on the customer service side as it is hits and miss. The place itself very nice and unique.
Always excellent service from the highly efficient and super friendly team here. The steak is unbelievably good, just so tender and tasty, matched with their fries and youre in foodie heaven. The bellini cocktail was excellent too. Book ahead or have them text you when theres space.

Flat iron has the greatest quality steak and burgers for the price point I have seen ever, especially for London this is a great place to get the wagu truffle burger. I have been to 3 different locations across London and the quality has been equally great at all places. The limited menu of around 5 items is great since it gives you no trouble deciding what to order and they give you free salted Carmel ice cream after your meal!
Side dish with Spinach worths a try. They offer an ice-cream for free after your meal.
I love the Flat Iron brand and what they do. What some may consider cheap for a steak and a lack of selection means what they do, they do really well. The steak is melt in the mouth and the sides selection is decent. There are a few special steaks on a rolling basis. We ended with a free ice cream which even though it was raining was much appreciated. The staff were superb and were very accommodating, lots of fun chat about menu selection. Had a great time and would recommend to anyone for a delicious steak done well... Or should that be medium rare?
