We are regular customers of Hazara as we just love the food, it is by far the best Indian food in the area. Where they really blew me away was when the catered a party for me at home. The food was delivered perfectly on time and in professional serving dishes, leaving me nothing to worry about. the guys did it all. And the food, even for a large party buffet style, was delicious and all of my guests just loved it. and there was more than enough! Thank you so much to Chef Imran and team.

I had an excellent meal and service sitting in the Village Square of Belsize Village dining at Hazara. I shared the veggie starter with my friend, a paneer curry, a Lamb shank curry recommended by the chef and naan breads. The flavours were all refined and excellent with the quality of the good very fresh. The flavour of the curries can seem subtle at first but the complex flavours seem to grow with each bite and left me very impressed. I cook a lot of Indian food at home and this fresh is modern and refreshing with a refined twist.Id highly recommend and seems by far the best Indian restaurant in the area and the ability to eat at fresco in such an amazing location makes it a must visit this summer.

Came here for a quiet birthday get-together with my friends. This place is fantastic! The Chef Imran Khan completely elevated the experience for me, and the food was absolutely spectacular! Chef Imran recommended the Hazara chicken special, which was succulent and well seasoned, I had this with garlic naan, both tasted authentic, delicious paired together wonderfully. The punjabi samosas for the starters were lovely, spicy and filling, and the chana daal complimented the spiciness nicely. The introductory sauces and popadoms were delicious as were the mango lassis! My only regret is the Gulab Jamun running out, for next time hopefully Ill get my hands on it!The service was wonderful, the restaurant is lovely and clean, and the food is authentic. Props to Chef Imran for all your hospitality and kindness, I certainly will remember this lovely event and this hidden gem in Belsize.Ill come with family next time, thank you Chef Imran!!

Best curry ever!! 10/10 wow. First time visit here while staying at the Premier Inn overnight down the road Hampstead Heath. Read reviews on Trip Advisor and everyone raving about it so had to try. Was not disapointted at all, best curry had in my life - yes that good! Ordered starter chicken tikka trio and popadoms and was awesome.. chicken so nice and tender. Main course ordered their special dish which was so tasty and flavorsome.. no colurings or sugar added and tastes so fresh... 10/10! Service was very welcoming too and nothing too much when asked for. We even spoke with the owner towards the end of our meal who is also the chef and he was so nice. Must visit when in the area.. we will be back again for sure ... amazing! :-)

Ordered the Las Maas (lamb) with garlic naan. As advised from other reviews, I brought my own water to avoid being charged for tap water. The stew for the entree was extremely rich with flavor. It was prepared quite quickly after ordering. There are several lamb chunks, while great proportions, they were too large and therefore not cooked tender (minus a star). Otherwise, the meal was delicious and good service. A bit on the pricer end for Indian since the naan was not included. My meal came out to 17+ pounds.

We had a fantastic meal at Hazara; it was some of the best Indian food I’ve had in London. Discovered Hazara during lockdown, and I’m so glad I did! It’s always a treat when I order it! I’m blown away by how lovely it is. It’s the best Indian I’ve had in London (Dishoom included). The Konkan Chicken Curry is my favorite. It’s intensely rich in flavor, but not spicy. I usually order that with plain rice, mango chutney, and Punjabi Chole, which is phenomenal. Don’t hesitate to order from them or go the the restaurant after lockdown.

Have lived in the area for 20 yrs, so have been to Hazara many times since it opened a number of years ago. Changed ownership at least once, which was a shame as the original chap was very charming. The food has always been very good, and continues to be so, but in recent years the table staff have been awful. Almost feel apologetic to them for going there and bothering them.

We visit The Hazara every time we come to London and are never disappointed. The service & food is always excellent. We come roughly once every 2 years and never see a difference in the level service or quality of food. It was brilliant to see the chef come out to speak with every table to make sure all expectations were met. After mentioning our visit was a part of a birthday and anniversary the chef/owner was quick to rustle up a surprise, on the house, desert. As a couple we would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting an Indian meal in the area!!! Top Restaurant!!!

Booked for a group of 3. Hand gel on arrival and one of the few places that has actually asked us to check in on the NHS track and trace app which was a plus. Service was good though the restaurant was almost empty, a stark reminder of this situation. The food was good, could have been better - gol guppas were crunchy and the pani was okay but lacked some punch; mixed starter was generous; mains were fair though not special for the price. Would still visit again

Hazara is by far one of the finest Indian restaurants Ive visited in London. An you can go al fresco in Belsize village too. What a fantastic discovery. If you like the blunt, burning hot melange of spices that set your tongue on fire then this place is not for you, its going to be a waste. The lamb curry starts as a mild flavours but as you go chew it, it develops additional flavours and then gets even more flavoursome. It does have spices but they all kick in one after another and makes the entire flavour not too overwhelming but warm and rich. The paneer curry was also excellent with clear distinguishable high notes of spices. With my friend we have identified about 13+ together until we lost count. The starter veggie platter was also amazing.Do trust yourself to the great hands and chefs recommendation that visited each table and made sure the order makes sense from flavour and experience perspective. But sir, the masala chai doesnt go with the starter nor the beer. Shall we bring it first and give your palate some time to breath or youd like to have it in the end? After the beer would be a better finish.I would certainly come back again and bring more friends!

We had a take away, ordering a lamb curry and a mix of vegetable ones. We enjoyed some of the food, but most of the dishes were heavy with a lot of ghee and cream. The lamb curry and slow cooked aubergines were good. The vegetable curry and Dhal were disappointing. No poppadoms included either!

Can’t really comment on the quality of food as we left without even ordering (plus it’s difficult to place an order without being given a menu).Upon entry to a half full restaurant, we were seated at a lovely table for two not next to or near but actually IN the doorway to the toilet!!Seeing the table behind us was empty, we moved ourselves and cutlery only to be told we couldn’t sit there as the table had been reserved for two weeks (if true, can only imagine that said diners had visited before and specifically requested ‘the table for two that isn’t in the toilet entrance’.Needless to say we left immediately and walked two doors down to Taherah where the staff treated us like valued customers.Do yourself a favour - avoid Hazara and their rude staff like the plague!

I visited hazara restaurant today in the evening. Me n my friend did not have a reservation but the staff was so kind that they seated us at one of the free tables. We ordered a bottle of rose and zafrani tandoori chicken starter. The starter was amazing in taste, chicken was so soft n superb, and the hospitality was really great with Imran n Swasthik checking on us regularly to see if the food was good or if we needed anything else. I loved eating at hazara and am very thankful for getting us seated at such a rush hour. During this weird covid times, I found a little bit of kindness n homely feeling visiting this place. I know Hazara pretty well as it is local, and Taj and his team always deliver the same high quality, authentic food every time. The decor is tasteful, the staff extremely personable, and the owner is almost always at hand taking a personal interest in his clientele. Above all, the food is absolutely excellent. The menu is varied, with individual dishes from all over India. That aspect generally suffers from the Jack of all trades syndrome, but not at Hazara - this chef really knows his stuff.
