Great menu with food you couldn’t easily do at home, which is what I want from a restaurant for a special occasion. Wine is very pricey, but about par for Mayfair. Fantastic staff - warm and professional.
Very rustic looking French restaurant. Food was decent, lamb was quite nicely done. Nothing very fancy and very reasonably priced. Overall an amazing atmosphere and great food. Definitely worth coming if youre in Mayfair.
Incredible place in one of the most unique neighborhoods in London. The food was spectacular, the staff was exceptional (Kati te queremos) and you wont see the end of the wine selection. It would be a shame to miss on it.
First visit to this restaurant, and I loved it. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food delicious. We also enjoyed the wine recommendation! Lovely ambience too - cosy surroundings and I loved the music! Thank you Marine, for letting me know about your playlist. Ive been enjoying listening to it in my own time as well :)
Went for my anniversary just over a year ago. It was lovely! Helpful and friendly staff, very romantic and cozy atmosphere. The food was outstanding and they offer great wines too. A brilliant experience, looking forward to returning with my partner when possible! Only downside was being seated rather close to another couple so bumping elbows a little but I was so focused on my partner that it didnt matter :)
Nice restaurant but not as good as it was years ago. Very few french staff and menu not so french anymore. Nice food but to pricey for what you get. Sorry, did not like to leave this review as I had fond memories of this place. Time goes on.
Lovely restaurant. Staff is friendly and service is great. Specially loved the steak and thanks to Maxime for a exquisite wine recommendation!. so happy to be back !!
A wedding reception under Covid times .... but the staff were very attentive to everyones needs and the food portions were excellent and very generous.
The perfect restaurant for that perfect meal. Nothing more to say.
I’m sorry to say this restaurant has gone down hill massively. It was our go to place for great french food when we visited London, now I think only wealthy people go there thinking they are getting great food because they are paying high prices… but it was very bad… We had the steak and it was burnt to cinders and full of inedible fatty rind, for £34 each you expect at least a juicy cut of meat. Even the pommes frites were dried up chunks of potato. Would give 1 star, but we got a refund and free desert after complaining, but it did really spoil what had been a great day in London and we were looking forward so much to going back to this restaurant. Shame.
We dined at Le Boudin Blanc on a weeknight, and its clearly a popular choice as the dining room was very busy. The waitstaff handled the diners needs efficiently and with unobtrusive style. Our meal, chosen from the chalkboard listing specials for the evening, was perfectly cooked and delicious, and complemented well by the wine we chose with help from the sommelier. The one drawback was the noise level in the dining room; while not objectionable in itself, it wasnt what we would have desired that night. Overall, though, you will not be disappointed in the atmosphere, the service, or the food, all of which were warm and excellent.
Great steak and foie gras!!!!
Amazing food, really friendly staff.
Would have had 5 stars but my usual specialitie du maison, the eponymous boudin blanc, was off the menu. NO VANILLA MASH....life is hard sometimes. Anyway, business as usual and glad this little gem has weathered the COVID storm and remains open for custom.
Exceptional. Wonderful food and great service.
Has to be my all time favourite french restaurant. Le Boudin Blanc serves sum of the most beautiful french delicacies, Must visit!
Classic french restaurant. Cozy and not chic, the way I like. Wonderful food. Hope the COVID histeria ends soon because I miss this restaurant!
Excellent food choices, oysters and steak were tasteful. Service level can improve and this is the reason why not rating 5 stars (overall they were trying but our table waitress was not very professional to say the lease).
Best food ever, very nice staff. The place has a lot of charm. Definitely I recommend it.
Amazing food. Great service, great wine. Was at a party and the room was hired out. The staff ensured there was always someone present to attend to anything. Had the most amazing steak here and the best chips I have ever had in my life.
My sister and I had dinner at Le Boudin Blan last night and felt like royalty. The service the restaurant provides is outstanding! Everyone is super friendly and attentive and makes you feel very welcome the moment you step in the restaurant. The food is to die for. Everything we chose was of a very high quality and the red wine suggested was amazing too. We will definitely be back :-)
The best French bistro in London. Classic dishes executed perfectly by quality staff in quality surroundings. We cant wait to go back.
The most beautiful French cuisine in a stunning quaint environment 😁 The food was exceptional and the wine list is to die for.
We went with a couple of french friends for dinner. One of the main reasons we visited Boudin Blanc is because we were looking for authentic french cuisine in London. The place is cozy and rustic, very lovely. Service is attentive and fast. However, the food was underwhelming and bland. Unfortunately this place didn’t deliver at all. At the end of the dinner we all agreed this resto is a 2 of 5 at its best.
We were in this restaurant on Saturday evening. The noise was unbearable. The distance between the tables couldn’t be smaller. It was impossible to move without asking people at other tables to get up. As tables were so close, you couldn’t help become a party to other people’s conversation. This is not a good place for a romantic dinner. It felt more like a very busy cafeteria. Food was good but not fine dining.
One word to sum up the entire meal: delightful.A cozy, romantic restaurant in the heart of Mayfair along a cobblestone path. While the menus we had were in French, there is an online version that is also in English.Every bite we had was scrumptious and the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, but slightly aloof. That didnt bother me at all.I appreciate the flattering dim lighting and how every seat in the restaurant makes you feel like youre alone with your guests at your table.I should add that the restaurant wasnt just packed with couples. I saw a table of six friends catching up for drinks and dinner. The cost for the meal was pretty reasonable in comparison to quality of the food and service.I definitely recommend a stop at Le Boudin Blanc, if youre in Mayfair one night.
Dont understand where the 5-star reviews are coming from. This place is very far from fine cuisine - in my experience, the cooking there is cafeteria-grade. Is it edible? Yes. Worth your time and money? Totally not.For the price, central London has many options that offer qualitatively better food and drink.
A very friendly, charming and genuinely French bistro in the centre of London (Shepherd Market in Mayfair). Loads of ambiance; it feels more like dining in Paris than London. Very nice food and a good wine list. Good value for money. Highly recommended.
Good food. Authentic French style. Not overpriced.Staff is friendly and all speak French
Excellent meal and outstanding service. Good French food without the stuffy environment. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Whilst it is expensive, its not Michèlen. You get what you pay for. Very good service, good food and attentive staff. A genuine brasserie experience. We had a four course meal with a glass of house champagne and a bottle of wine for £180 including service. So not cheap but a lovely couple of hours in a restaurant in, possibly, one of the most high class areas of London.
Good overall experience, solid French food with variety of entrees. Appetizers were a bit disappointing but desert was great.
Classic French bistrot food.Simple tasty and lovely service. Great wine list too.
Lovely French cuisine in London. Very romantic and cozy setting. The escargots is a must!
Small restaurant offering classical French cuisine in the heart of Mayfair. Pre-booking available via their website. Extremely busy during lunchtime and evening covers. Highly attentive and friendly staff. Starters, mains and sweets offer a stunning selection of French classics. Extensive wine list. Highly recommended.
So good ! Really. By all measure : service is friendly and knowledgeable, menu diversified (French inspired, admittedly), execution very good. The wine list ? extensive. Excellent standards !
Had a great lunch with really good wine and attentive service. Great atmosphere too, relaxed yet still smart. Give it a go if you are in the market for French food.
High end bistro with well executed french typical plates. Located in the heart of mayfair and close to the park the athmosphere is relax and cosmopolitan. The wine list is not as exiting as the food but still offers decent choices. Better booking as the place is popular.
This is a lovely and classic restaurant.Mike took me here for a dinner date and we both enjoyed how cosy and yet fancy the place is. The interior is warm and pleasing, but I expected a little more from the meals. The menu is very basic and regular for a French restaurant. The soups however tasted good and healthy, like the home-made ones I prepare.
Trusty favourite - love the onion soup and tartare. Have been going back for ten years and have always had a warm welcome and delicious meal. See you soon :)
Very nice food and okay service (they could be a bit friendlier). Best thing is the tables outside on the road with no cars. Price is what I expected.
My favorite French restaurant in London! Very good food, super service, great location.... Highly recommended!
Better than average food, excellent service. Should be considered an option for anyone looking for a place to eat. Somewhat upscale, not a average cafe.
This little place in the heart of Mayfair offers great variety of the French food. I would highly recommend it for an evening out for any occasion. The portions are generally quite big and you would not leave this place hungry. I really enjoyed my evening out there and I wish to return again.
Rustic Gallic food and more adventurous French dishes in a cosy brasserie with mismatched furniture.
The six of us had a fantastic dinner here - excellent food (we all had different starters and mains and not a single disappointment), very cosy atmosphere and very attentive service. Highly recommended
Best onion soup ever
Being going here for well over ten years. Its obviously good. The onion soup is the best in London and steak tartar is really good.
Great armosphere, wonderful food and service, plus an incredible selection of wines
A wonderful unpretentious restaurant tucked away in Shepherd Market. Perfect for a lunchtime steak frites.
Full of people and atmosphere, served with a wonderful meal.
Service was extremely slow on a Friday lunch sitting outside. After being seated 15 min passed before we had to ask for bread and a good 40 min before order was even taken . Food when it came out was good enough. Most of the staff seemed french speaking.
It used to be one of my favourite French restaurants in London. Now really on a downhill trajectory, and the proof is that on a Saturday night at 9pm the place was half full. Service ok at best, menu choices ok, atmosphere not really there and french fries were super salty.... will not go back there are so many options around.
A favourite place for us. Food, service is brilliant and very french. Its expensive though - but youre are in Mayfair.
The food and service were phenomenal

Boudin Blanc was fantastic and near faultless, though not inexpensive as sides and bread were extra. But it was worth it - as they had promised, just like being in Paris. What good fortune! The food was excellent- the mussel app was delicious (maybe too big), as was the onion soup (maybe too big)....the veal chop fantastic, the lamb dish excellent...the peas complimenting both dishes, .the au gratin potatoes wonderful. Nice little french restaurant with a very good wine list. It is too noisy and service little slow
Expensive but absolutely worth it. Tastiest meal I’ve had in a long time with sublime service.
Food is fine but overpriced and service doesn’t go with that prices: slow, order mistakes, billing wrongly for +35£.
Go to French restaurant in London. Great food, great location, great service. Pricey but hey, its London
Really tasty food good portion sizes, really nice environment and staff were really nice
My favourite place when Im in London. Everything is just perfect, food, service, ambience, etc...
Very good quality food, clean, nice looking.
It is a good place to go for a romantic dinner. It is dimly lit and the food is well prepared. Rating of 3.9 seems to be fair.
It is simply tres bon....
Beautiful service, cosy atmosphere and great food. Ticks the boxes
Best duck confit Ive ever tasted
We have been going here for nearly 20 years.Charming high end rustic place in Mayfair. The star on every visit was the escargot.
Good food with French twist, smiley service. A bit crowded but nice
Excellent food and service My friend had a cough and was given a hot honey and lemon drink
Classic French food in central London. Buzzing vibe on a week day. Downside is tables can be a bit close together.
I went there and had steak tartare, I specially asked to get it not spicy and you guessed it, it was. The service could have been a bit faster also.Concerning the food quality nothing to say about that. Went there a previous time and had a Magret de canard, it was delicious and correctly cooked.
Brilliant. Best set lunch menu Ive had in ages. Delicious. Big portions. Great service.
French restaurant love it. Always special on the board. Good quality French cuisine not cheap but is all worth it.
Ok
A favorite of ours when in London for more than 15 years. The duck confit is truly delicious as is the French onion soup. The salmon was okay but somewhat disappointing; ditto the tarte tatin.Found the current crop of young waiters somewhat pretentious.
Love the chocolate fondant here! Would really recommend it if you are crazy about chocolate! 👍👍
Excellent food and service at a value.
Everyone like it. I had grilled steak...not much to go wrong.
Really delicious, lovely service and my first snail experience. The parsley garlic butter is amazing!
Lovely little French bistro with seemingly only French staff and excellent French food and wine. Good service too.
Solid bistro. Good menu with not too much flair. Great service and very good, reasonably priced wine list.
I’ve come to the Boudin Blanc a couple of three times over the past few years and this last visit was disappointing. The ambiance remains warm and inviting, and my girlfriend and I were quickly seated. From then on, however, the service, vacillated between pushy and nonexistent. We were pressed for our order as if we were in a chain restaurant and then the small amenities that make service great (like genuine interest in making your dinner a pleasure, water, napkins, etc were not forthcoming).I can live with mediocre service, but the food was just plain off the mark. The fish soup, which should be rich and hearty, had a bitter aftertaste and we left it after a couple of spoonfuls. Moules? Tasty and plump, but over cooked and lacking the anticipated delicious wine and buttery sauce that should accompany these gems from the sea. Instead, they were plunked in a splatter of stodgy bechemal sauce, thick and tasting of flour. The goat cheese salad reminded me of cheese toasters from uni days - was expecting better execution and something that amounted to no more than fromage avec pain and some bits of lettuce tucked under.. Oysters were decent though! All gripes, yes, but I have experienced better in previous visits. Overall, a real disappointment and (for the cost) the standards should be much much higher and the service better. No matter how many times you click your heels say bon soir, you can’t make up for either.
Amazing food and exceptional service.
Good authentic French restaurant with an oldie worldie feel inside
The food and service are really, really good. The downfall for me is that this place is very cramped and it can get extremely stuffy in the dining rooms.
