An absolutely brilliant restaurant. Great food and attentive service! Highly recommended!
Our local favourite (to dine in and to take away)! Really thoughtful staff and great food. Mumbai is our go to local Indian restaurant.
Nice, unpretentious Indian restaurant. I recommend the paneer.
Soggy sugary mess. Ordered 2 dishes for takeaway: chicken, okra on the side and some pilau rice. Chicken dish was as sweet as a desert and inedible. Rice had intense cinnamon smell, dip was overly sweet. Okra dish was okay but we threw out everything else.Called up the restaurant and they a replacement dish but kept insisting that this is how people like it. Dont agree.
Absolutely delicious and really flavoursome. One of the best Indian meals Ive ever had. The service was really friendly too when we picked it up.
Authentic & delicious! One of our favourite meals. Takeout only at the moment (November 2020). We love the lamb samosas, butter chicken & Lamb rogan josh. Excellent quality & good value.
Delicious food (butter chicken and bengali crab bhuna were the highlights), good portion sizes and friendly staff. Very quick and cost free delivery (SE16).
One of the worst (takeaway) Indian weve had. Very dry lamb
Friendly staff. tasty food
Really great quality spot!
Best food ever 😋
Pricey but very good food.
Great to have such a tasty curry house so close to home. Top notch service and excellent food
Excellent meal. The niramish was exceptional. Lamb chatga was nice and bold which good spices and a long flavour on the tongue. Polite service and a wonderful last meal before london heads into tier 3 lockdown. Delighted with my choice.
It was a good experience
A phenomenal restaurant and I particularly like the lassi. The service is also excellent (and a good discount for collecting deliveries).
Good food
When we entered the restaurant we were greeted with a smile by the waiters. The décor inside the restaurant was very nice. We had a large group and the food was served earlier than expected time. All the food served were very delicious and tasty specially mixed Grill and Chicken Jalferejazi. This has to be one of the best chicken dish I have tasted in an Indian restaurant as I travel around the country. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Amazing food and service! We had the meat samosa, lamb chops, chicken dupiaza and Chatga Lamb . The team there is very nice and helpful with selecting a meal to fit your own taste. Khan was very kind and smiling - it was a great moment and food is delicious!
I have used Mumbai for 13 years now as a restaurant and for take aways. Over this 13 years the food has always been outstanding with lots of great flavours. The owner and staff always make you feel very welcome.Highly recommended
Tastiest curry in the area
Good quality Indian food, not too expensive. Food came with free poppadom and a type of mint yogurt sauce. Big portions without scrimping on quality; the matar paneer was particularly nice.
We live nearby and love this place for a takeaway - great curry dishes and the flavours are delicious! Highly recommended giving it a try!
Lovely food at very reasonable prices, with friendly staff. And they dont add the sadly-almost-ubiquitous-now so-called discretionary service charge, which always gets my respect. I happily tip though, as the service is excellent!
Great chicken tikka masalas, highly recommend!
Excellent, had chicken tikka balti and chicken tikka pathia, great quality, good sized portions and delicious flavours. Best we’ve had for a very long time. New favourite takeaway
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent experience. First time Indian eater and the food was great! Medium was hot, so beware.
I’ve eaten here twice and it’s been great. The staff are friendly, and very kind to my three year old when we pop in for a takeaway. The food is classic and good, it’s been hard to find an Indian restaurant nearby that serves good food at a good price.
Delicious food and friendly service!
Delicious Food and Good Service!
Very tasty Indian Food. Excellent service.
Friendly service and good curry. Enjoyed the Mumbai fish bhuna and tandoori chicken.
Gorgeous food! Fresh and quality
Perfect! Amazing owner+team.Nice ambient, impressive menu.Feast for all senses: Beautiful presentation, delicious taste.Made with care + owner/manager cares for his guests, personally. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you.
Great little neighbourhood gem. Food is always tasty and consistent quality. Excellent value for money! The Set for 2 is perfection!
Very good food, especially the lamb biriyani
Great food and service. Best Indian in south London.
Foods are really great!
Fantastic food and service!
Amazing food. Fast and efficient delivery. Great service. This is my takeout for every friday night!
Firstly I must say not all we read on reviews should be taken as gospel. After reading Mr. Jeremy petty review I could help but want to try this restaurant. Yet again my common sense and ability to read between the lines prevailed in flying colours. This restaurant has a rich array of meals I kept ordering spontaneously at whatever I saw on the list (hence I had a lot to take away😀 I know Im a bit of a dustbin) which all tasted lovely, presentation was good and above all the meals were all sensibly priced.
Really nice food and great value for money
AMAZING!! Fantastic Indian food and lovely friendly service! We love this place 👍
Good choice for a classic British curry. Good mains and rice. Starters are average and there is no paneer on the menu, which was a little disappointing. Prices are very reasonable!
Usually have a good experience but our order today included a £5 tikka paneer starter and a £10 main of the same. See the photos - pathetically small at a pound a piece. We phoned up and they couldn’t care less. A shame as we have people over and those particular dishes are just not enough. And we’ve been a loyal customer. It feels like a rip off. Even a bit of sauce would be fine but look at the pics and consider that’s £15’s worth of food! Other dishes are fine, just don’t bother with the paneer
Small and basic but definitely one of the better Indian restaurants in London and I have been to many. If want pretentious and fancy surroundings dont come here - but if you want really good Asian food, reasonably priced, in a simple and very clean setting then come here....
First off, this is a Bangladeshi restaurant, NOT INDIAN. The style is very different. Also, the staff was very rude and had an annoying attitude. Food was decent/alright after a long tiring day, would not recommend this place
Good Food, this place is very near where we live and has become our first go to place. The good is generally good and has decent veg options
Reasonably priced considering how very good the food is.Wouldve been good if my partners left overs had been doggy-bagged as a matter of course, as there was more than half left :(
Excellent Indian. Good portion sizes and good quality. Relaxed atmosphere, and wasnt too busy when we went.
The food is good and reasonably priced, but not amazing. Ambience and service are fine. All in all, a decent curry in a nice restaurant, but nothing special.
Excellent curry, excellent atmosphere, just want you want from a good Indian curry night.
Went in for dinner, the place truly lacks atmosphere, very small dishes & the plates were very greasy. The chicken dish I ordered was so sweet I had to send it back. The fact that the rice was so greasy prevented me from ordering an alternative dish. Im sorry to give a bad review - but I really wouldnt recommend this place.
Delicious food and friendly staff
Really good authentic Indian food, friendly atmosphere and marvellous service. Prices are very reasonable for the location and quality of food. Highly recommend!!!!
Delicious and cozy please. Set menu is a go to if you are curious.
Consistently good curry, tasty nan breads, friendly and quick delivery. Have been getting a take away here for a number of years and it is always very good.
Really good customer service!
Love the dishes, friendly staff
Fantastic food, really tasty. Good service
Correct. This is not indian food. Menu items are named Indian but taste is not.
Cracking curry. Naga chilli saag with lamb. 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Friendly staff who advised dishes
Good food, I’m not a fan of Indian food but this place make me happy, good food and not so spicy, recommend
Mumbai is best curry house in the Tower Bridge area. The prices are very reasonable. Staffs are friendly. Some dishes that Mumbai have; you cant find in the local area. One of them is their Akbery Kyber, the mouth watering dish!
Very good service, food was great and on heated plate stands!
I would never eat in this restaurant we ordered a takeaway to find a fingernail in the curry. When i rang the restaurant to complain they told me its not their problem, speak to deliveroo.
Good service and good food. Friendly personnel and reasonable prices.
Not a smile, not genuine Indian food. They are probably ok with feeding gullible non-Indians who dont know what indian food is supposed to taste like.Terrible chai its definitely not Indian chai and the name Mumbai is not justified!!Should be named Shraad (mourning ) coz the music was like the one played when a leader passes away. Last heard it when PM Rajiv Gandhi passed away in India.
Fantastic service and really tasty food. We all loved it.
The best
Love this place best curry in london 95 % of the time when its 5% its still better than most...Lovely food, love it
Our favourite Indian restaurant - excellent food and fantastic service!
Terrible chai and onion bhajiya.. Depressing music..
Very Bad, We ordered Onion pakoda and we found hair in it, when we complained about it to the owner, he was not accepting his mistake and denied to serve us. He constantly argued with me and rudely said me to eat the pakoda as it is or leave the restaurant. We left eating nothing but only one pakoda that too found hair in it. We were very hungry and had to find other restaurant with empty stomach. Extremely rude and disgusting service.
Amazing food, we went for chefs specials on the recommendation of the waiter, I was a little concerned deviating from my usual but the food was excellent and nice understated service.
Never again 😐 delivery driver was moody food was gross what a waste on money.. pissed! Should have went with the shish kebab
A small cozy restaurant that serves Indian food. Tastewise good but bit costly
Very decent Indian food. Service is always awesome!
Great food .best indian food ive eaten.fresh and very tasteful.always return time and time again.with my big fork
Have used this Indian for many years it’s not the same anymore. The food is served cold and they want to hurry you out to seat the next customers. Such a shame
Really good food, but if you eat in the portions are a bit stingy - better if you get takeaway (would give takeaway 4 stars).
Fresh food & good service.
There were only 3 customers that evening. Service was poor (e.g. wasnt served or asked to order drinks until 10 mins later when I had to initiate. Staff assumed I didnt want my change back after paying until I asked for it.). Food was alright.
Not the best looking restaurant a bit drab but if you can get past that ,You are in for a surprise as the food is very good , run efficiency and pleasant staff well worth a try
The staff was very rude and the curry was stone cold
Consistently good Indian food
Feels like genuine Indian food. Thunmb up
Best food ever
Amazing food!
Service is very poor :(
Very small and staff are not very attentive
Great food
Ive had a couple of disappointing currys from here lately
We loved it!!
Beyond incompetent
