Excellent restaurant which deserves its local reputation. Fresh flowers on the tables, starched table cloths, and no “discretionary” service charge - you pay what you think it’s worth. Food excellent - tap water nicely presented in a glass with ice and a slice. Loses a star because of way-too-loud ring tone at bar for takeaway orders. And motorcycle delivery operators wearing helmets marching heavy-footed the full length of the restaurant to collect orders. That ain’t conducive to a relaxed, quiet meal, unfortunately.

Well its technically a mix of Indian and Nepalese cuisines. We tried a few starters and aloo tikki chat is a stand out. Must try if you like Indian chats. On the mains we tried chicken tikka biryani and the quantity was quite less compared to usual servings. Was defenitely tasty. The place is smack on the main road and very easy to find. The serving pace is very relaxed, may feel a little slow at times. Overall - Recommended!

Dull and dark ambience. Ordered Dal Makhani and Roti.Awful Dal Makhani. Told the staff that its not what Dal Makhani should taste like. She took it back to the chef. Added more cream into it but obviously it did not change the flavour. They dont know how to make Dal Makhani. The staff came back to ask if it was better and I said no its not. Later she ask if I wanted to replace it but I had lost my appetite. She insisted not to pay but I couldnt do it. Paid the bill and took off, for never to return.DONT try Dal Makhani at all.

The best of a cluster of Indian places around the area. Okay well its officially Nepalese but you get what I mean. There are loads of things on the menu, biriyanis are highly recommended. There are plentiful options for vegetarians and vegans too. The place has a nice ambience and was quite busy at the time we were there. The food was fresh and of good quality. Taste wise the food was much to my liking(I love hot spicy stuff) but they can always tone it down or kick it up a notch at your request if you tell them in advance.

Gosh, this is good. I was interested to try the Nepalese dishes and I brought my coriander disliking but chilli loving friend. We ate so well here, we politely fought over the carrot pickle served with the poppadoms (more was generously offered by the lovely owner). Chicken momos with nepalese chutney were also eagerly devoured just like our mains that followed. Absolutely and utterly delicious. Thank-You!

We came on a Saturday night and we had to wait for 60 minutes to get our food, but the wait was worth it and the service was really good. The biryani was generous, the lassi was delicious and the cheese naan (among many other things) was warm and tasty. It is definitely a good place to try Indian/Nepalese food

Terrible delivery service from this restaurant. Ordered at 19.56 and was given a delivery time of 21.05. It got to 21.36 and no food had arrived, so called the restaurant. They said that one of their two delivery drivers had broken down earlier in the evening, so deliveries were very backlogged. Also, they still didnt have a replacement driver so couldnt confirm when the food would actually turn up.They shouldnt have kept taking orders when they knew they couldnt fulfill them within a reasonable time. No apology for the bad service. Avoid this place.

Ive just finished another fantastic meal at Mountain View, and needed to tell someone! Quite seriously though, Im revisiting this place after a year away and its still the best Indian/ Nepalese I know. Its the benchmark against which I measure Indian everywhere and no-one else really hits the mark. The flavours here are subtle and tasty and there is nothing on the menu I wouldnt eat. The vegetarian offering is amazing - we eat a bunch of sides as our main, tapas-style. Its family run, its first class, and its definitely worth a visit. Not too far from Greenwich town centre, and not too far from Maze Hill station. I love this place. Highly recommend!

Food is good, on par with other Indian restaurants in the area, but please be very careful as they rip off customers by soft drink. We should know better when we cannot see soft drink price on menu. We end up pay £2.95 each for a small glass of coke. A simple meal for two was £30 with nearly £6 for two cokes. With a Tesco a few doors down it is a hell a lot mark up. We would not return as the food is not that outstanding for such deliberately hidding rip off.

Dont go there! We didnt eat there because there was no table for us although we had booked a table for 8.30! We arrived on time and one of the waiter tells us that there is 8min waiting, no problem, well wait. We come back 10min later, and the table is still not ready! OK, we wait a little while, maybe 10min in a very crowded area.We finally ask another waitress if our table is ready.. She tells us to wait at the bar and that we should have a table in 20mins!We left straight away after waiting almost 30mins for nothing. I would not recommend this restaurant, the service is dreadful. We finally found a wonderful Thai down the street hopefully!

Really impressed with both the food and service. We[2 of us] walked in at about 9pm last night - Friday evening, and the restaurant was full and there was already a group of 5 waiting to be seated. The staff told us that there was a table for 2 due to leave in 5-10 mins and asked us if we would like a drink. The table soon became free and we were seated and offered fantastic poppadums and great fresh dips. There was a huge group of students - 20+ already seated and finishing their starters, so we did wonder if the service might be slow for us, but it really was fine. The starters were really fresh and tasty - salmon and then crispy okra. Our mains and side dishes were also superb - 2 of the house specials - a lamb dish and also a paneer one. Well be back - thanks.
