Ordered Mikasa sushi tonight, something did not sit right and unfortunately got sick.

Waited over 30 minutes just for someone to come take our order. Ordered the “Love Boat” platter which supposedly came with 34 pieces but there were only 28. The waiter said that the sashimi counted as 5 pieces - talk about a rip off. The sushi was super basic. I get better sushi at The Sushi Shop. No one ever asked how our food was. It took over an hour to come give us our bill. Terrible.

Placed an order for the Nirvana roll as it looked very good from the pictures.Was extremely disappointed how thin the slices of this roll were, so cheap, so scanty. It was my 1st order from Mikasa Sushi bar so I was excited, but now I am extremely disappointed by this place. That scanty ity bitty roll was $18 and the thinnest slices of sushi I have ever seen in my life, nothing like their photos. Will not be wasting anymore money there again. The other things I ordered were very average. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE!

Best sushi in laval from what ive tested so far. Waiting time to get the food could be improved. Took more then a hour to get the order to the table. Amazon stuff, waiters are the best. Fhey explain everything. A bit pricy but you get what you pay for. In this case, classy, frensh sushi !!

My first time here. Many people have recommended but since my favourite sushi place shut down, I have yet to find a place that compares to their quality and taste. Yesterday I ordered mostly makis with crab and seafood. The seafood was not the freshest. I also noticed in one of my maki the lettuce had some brown on the leaves. Cook should take notice not to serve this to a customer. Some of the avocado maki we couldnt eat because avocado was hard and not ripe. For some makis they were not rolled tightly. The fried calamari was good but not fresh. My waitress was super friendly and professional.

Beautiful sushi restaurant located in the Centropolis Laval area. Must try the “Rouge” and “Saumon fondant” which are the house specialties!

Amaizing place ! I go to a lot of sushi places and this one is by far one of my favorites.The drinks are great, ambiance is nice, service is good. (even tho a little slow)The food is Flabbergasting! They have a lot of choice and the quality is definitely there. Its fresh, tasty and well presented.We enjoyed our dinner a lot! We will obviously go back.

Good quality sushi, lobster salad + the teriyaki chicken plate is the best by far

Booked our reservation for 6:30. Ordered by 6:45(latest), by 7:10 we asked where our edamame & calamari was. 7:25 we asked where is our food & ordered two tequila sunrises. 7:35 finally our edamame showed up & I asked again where is our calamari & the rest of our order. Server said some other server gave our calamari to someone else & he rushed ordered us a new one. 7:45 our drinks & calamari showed up. drinks had almost zero alcohol inside. We asked if there was any space heaters since it was getting cold. they said no. Finally at 7:55 our sushi order came, but still waiting for my wifes order of fried chicken teriyaki. That finally showed up at 8:05. asked for our check at 8:15. took server about 15 mins to bring us our check.Overall the food was okay, nothing to make me recommend this place to anyone over. Get some better overall service & space heaters. Every other restaurant had them around us.I would not recommend this place to anyone.I get that we all have been dying to get back out to dine, but with this kind of service Id rather stay home & save over $100 plus the dealing with the wait & cold.

Went for pick up, gf picked the chefs choice. The taste/price didnt equate, every piece was packed with cucumbers and everything tasted bland. Was seriously disappointed, went to all you can eat sushi places that tasted better. You can drive 10 minute to Kyoto Sushi and get something for same price and 5x better in terms of taste.

Sushis and service were good. It can be pretty expensive though.

WORST SERVICE EVER. We ordered 24h in advance, when it was time to pick up, we were told they had a 3h ++ delay. 50 clients stuck in the restaurant waiting for their order. And + waiting (freezing) outsideDid I forget to mention that we never received our order (lol). Happy new yearNo help at all from the restaurant.Would not recommend !!

We waited for our food for so long. My daughter ordered a filet mignon without sauce and received one covered in sauce. When we told the waiter, he was really pist off...The sushis are good but the staff and service could really do better.

Good place, nice sushi but service was extremely slow

Ordered 300$ worth of sushi for take out and did not even get a single soya sauce. When I picked up the food, asked if there was many soya sauce and was told there is a whole bunch. When I got home, found out there was none. Called Mikasa and the guy did not even care and said nothing I can do we are closing. The one star goes for the good quality sushi.

Service and food amazing

Overpriced for the portions you get. Very upset. Extremely small portions for delivery. I ordered the lobster salad, it is insulting how small the portion was. I called to let them know this is unfair for the customer willing to pay 23$ for a small salad, the manager told me that there is no mistake with the portion size. Try to avoid the salads there! Also sushi very small. Kokoro sushi which is located in Montreal is same administration, but way better for quality and portions.

Nice ambiance, nice presentation! But Im giving 2 stars because this entrée is NOT the same as what shows in the menu. I enjoy very much Mikasa but I dont like when I order something I see in the menu but its nothing close to what was presented. In addition, Tuna Tataki (entree), the tuna was overcooked :(

Been a customer of theirs since they opened. Large variety of dishes (if you are the adventurous, ask them to surprise you). Great service and, GREAT TASTY food.HOWEVER, if youre expecting your food to come within 5 minutes of ordering, THIS IS NOT the restaurant for you! It is NOT a fast food place.Regarding prices, you get what you pay for. To those who say prices are high, I say, have you ever found a restaurant that serves REALLY fresh seafood at cheap prices? If so, tell me where!

Everything we have tried had been very good but kinda pricey for what you get.

Its very good sushi. Many of the flavours used in the special menu are some I have never had in sushi before, but they were all delicious. High quality fish is definitely used. Highly recommend the salmon katsu

Att: Say Leng CunWorst service ever. It took them 1 hour and a half to serve us. The chefs were prioritizing to- go orders before serving clients at the restaurant. It took 20 min before getting a refill for a glass lf water. Shame on you on how you staff your restaurant. Why would you priorotize Uber and Skip thd dishes before your clients????

I can understand the overprice because you have high cost, but the service was sooo slow and horrible, you hire a person for UBER and SKIP ( they took 20% of your price ) and let us wait for 1 hour even if we have 4 kids and 4 adults , I think it’s not good strategy to win a customer by UBER and lost one dine-in.. In general the taste was good.Edit: thank you...we hope...

Long wait time for Uber drivers for delivery pick up. The restaurant doesn’t care about others people time. They are rude..

Worst service.3 hours delay for a take away

We waited 1hr for our food which was basically balls of rice with some fish, disrespectful to call it sushi. By the time we got water the soy sauce dried my body into a desert. They did not even gave us plates, (even dogs are provided with plates to eat). They brought sashimis and rolls instead of nigiris. The service was so bad I felt disrespected. I wish I could give a negative star.

Food quality is ok, over priced... and need better waiters.... since we were family of 4 and after waiting over 30 min for the soup... then main meal after... the waiter forgot completely one of the orders and after waiting then checking with him he said you did not order! Cant he see we are 4 and if he was mistaken or did not hear the order he doesnt check and ask I have 3 orders only would you like to have dinner tonight! Just unbelievable!

After being an ex employee of this place I can tell you that they re-use some of the salad (so definitely dont touch that) and the meat and fish are usually cross contaminated and stored in the same container as the desert. The sushi without fish is usually clean. Honestly just eat somewhere else, for the price youll be waiting to eat food thats already been on someone elses plate. Its just not worth it

First time at Mikasa Sushi Bar, and BEST sushi I’ve ever had! The restaurant was very clean, had a lot of choices, and Alice’s service was impeccable. She made my first experience there amazing, and I’m definitely looking forward to more visits there ;)

Not as good as the one in duvernay, presentation was not great, taste was inferior, price was higher for less quantity and the food was less good then the one ad duvernay, so if you have to order or pickup sushi its worth ordering in the other restaurant, this one is way more expensive and for less quantity and quality.

I visited on a sunday night for a date with my s.o.. We sat at the bar and resisted ordering sushi, despite the deliciously appealing menu.Alice our waitress recommended an excellent bottle of wine, and offered the best service ever!The restaurant was nice and tidy. One of my favorite sushi. They have a great selection of specialties all delicious. The salmon katsu is one of our favorites. The sauce is so good, you can eat it with a spoon. Ask for the red dragon. It’s not on the menu, but it’s spectacular and delicious! We like to try a different speciality each time we go and we are not disappointed! The service is attentive without being intrusive.

Its not real taste of Japanese sushi. However if you like sushi you can enjoy their original taste of sushi with their original sauce.

Overpriced and average at best. They were also really understaffed for a Sunday night.

A really nice sushi à la carte! The bar selection is pretty complete. It is not the best of the best but I would recommend it over any big chains.

Food can be good, but we had a rude waitress both times we have gone. Also, only 3 dessert choices were available from the whole menu. Really? How hard can it be to manage having what you have on the menu available? It was at 19:00 on a saturday. And waitress kept un waiting 15 minutes before letting us know both our choices were unavailable and was completely unapologetic. At 200$ + for a simple meal for 2, we won’t be going back.

Great quality fish especially the sashimi cuts - the melt in your mouth type good quality. That said, its expensive, a little over what one would expect and service can be excruciatingly slow. In addition, certains private rooms are a furnace.
