I visited lake market branch on 2nd October around 8.45 pm ..half shutter was opened ..I requested the person to give me Shev & Boondi ..He bluntly said NO after making request that I was coming from very far place Garia ..Very bad & arrogant attitude of the staff . This reflects owners mentality

Best Sweet shop in BaraBazar Kolkata, I say its not a shop its Sweets Showroom. Famous for its Bundi and bundi sweets. They cook kilos of bundi every hour here. If you are passing through the Bara Bazar then you cant even ignore taking something from kaligodam sweets. My most favourite things are desi ghee ladoos from Kaligodam. These sweet mart is available on Zomato & swiggy, if you are planning to buy online in these area.

I recommend the Ghee Bundia and the Ladoo.Kali Godam has now opened shops away from the hustle and bustle of BaraBazar to Lake Road.I had recently bought the Dalda Bundia for Rs.220 per kilo on the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja.The owner is a thorough gentleman & despite the crowd had my boxes ready in no time.Kaligodam is a true testament of time. My elders always appreciate the pure Ghee Bundia and Rajasthani Bhujia from here.

Nice place for sweet or snacks lovers. They have their special bundiya and amazing sweets starting from soan papdi to different types of sandesh.I bought masala and cheese masala dosa, the quantity was sufficient also the taste was quite good.

Place have limited variety but the quality us too good.This shop is reknowned for jelebi in the morning and hot boondi in evening from around 50 years.U also get some sort of snacks in this shop.

An abosolute cheat. We had paid Rs190 for 500gms of ghee mota-dana laddoo but what we got is a complete different item, we received mihi-dana laddoo made of dalda which is much cheap. Though the employee checked our token but he provided us with that. Being a renowned shop like this, its an out-and-out fraud. Highly disappointed. Didnt get well with our expectations.

Desi bundiya is a must.

It is a bit crowed store.The desi ghee bundiya is melts down in the mouth. Samosas and other namkeen items with fillings are quite heavy and filled with lots of garam masala. I do not recommend any south indian dishes such as dosa, idli etc. They offer packed snack items as well.
