Visited Aminia at new market area after shopping. The seating arrangement is nice. Its pleasant. The food serving style should have been a bit better. The presentation could be better. We ordered for chicken biryani, tandoori roti and chicken handi masala.I would like to recommend this place ❤️

Visited after a long time .Ambience has been changed drastically. Biriyani mutton was very soft and puffy . Biriyani was good but chicken chap served could not meet expectation.You can opt for AC or non AC sitting.It remains crowded during festive season.Located at a prime place.

Food is not as good as you expect. I have ordered biriyani. The quality is below standard as per price. I asked for mutton kosa which is not available there at that time, but they gave me mutton chap instead of that, telling me that it was mutton kosha. Pieces of the mutton was very small. Tables and cutlery and crockery was not neatly clean. So, I would not recommend any body here those who loves food.

Yesterday I had a bad experience at Aminia Restaurant Esplanade. Staffs and waiters do not have any manners how to treat their customers. They are like tujhe khana hai toh kha nahi toh yaha seh nikal ja ya phir mereko koi farak nahi parta.After waiting for so long one of the waiter comes to us for taking orders but refused to take any. He dont wait for long and he leaves. On the other hand he comes with different food of the same table but this time of another customer (already the customer ordered something different).They dont respect or treat well to the customers.Waiters are unable to take any orders properly (jeta ami anbo seta toke khete hbe amr jiggesh korar dorkar o nei). That waiter is very much inefficient.One of the important part is none of the staffs and waiters are wearing masks atleast.

Its really one of the best Mughlai restursants in Kolkata. Specially there branch in New Market is the most oldest and biggest branch all over Kolkata. No doubt the food quality is superb. Its always crowded with people wther it be a weekend or weekdays. I had ordered Chicken Sahi Rezala and Tandori Rooti one of there best dishes of all time. No doubt the chicken tasted awesome its was juicy and tendor and evenly cooked from side. On the other hand the grazy as well tasted quickly good and delicious. I would like to suggest this resturant to everyone. If you are visiting New Market area for shopping do visit this place for lunch or dinner.

Been there many times....I just love this branch of aminia..Just love their biriyani ..On my recent visit i order for aminia special mutton along with naan ,mutton biriyani and phirini for dessert....Biriyani was as good as I got in my precious visit.not so spicey light saffron coloured rice along with succulent chunk of mutton and buttery soft potatto tells the story of authentic kolkata biriyani in every bite.Aminia special is a spicey runny curry made with whole vegetables like onion ,tomato ,carrot and potato along with a whole egg.it was super hot and was perfect companion to super soft naan.mutton piece was very soft but the size of the piece could have been a bit larger ..However it tastes damn good.Lastly the phirni was very creamy and had a mild aroma of saffron which indicates original saffron (not the flavouring substance)was used...👍Service was very good👍Staff were well behaved.

The quality of the biriyani has grossly degraded over time. What remains now is just the name. The mutton in the biriyani was half burnt and hard. I know many small restaurants whose biriyani is much better now. The indifferent attitude of the staff is also noticeable. Regretting for choosing an overpriced, over-hyped place for lunch already. If you are here in Esplanade, explore other food options(there are many). This place is not worth it anymore.

Ate at 10 pm.. worst taste.. not expected this type from aminia.. very disappointed..Mutton in the biriyani was too hard to chew also the potato was under cooked.. The biriyani masala was also undercooked so gave a bitterness to the rice. Would urge to improve. 🙏🙏

The reason I dislike this place is because you literally have to fight for your own seat and wait several minutes to wait for assistance, during peak as well as normal hours, you will also face issues with your order acceptance.I remember the quality of food used to better than it is today. The food was supposed to be far better compared to the other outlets as well. Personally I prefer the outlet in Chinar park.Really disappointed, with the hygiene and rest room maintenance.

This is a very old and established Mughlai restaurant, specializing in Biryani and other delectable cuisines of North India, Afghanistan & Pakistan. Although there are better options available today in Kolkata, pertaining to food quality, customer service and more, but Aminia has etched a special place in the hearts of food lovers. You can come here to relish chicken kababs, mutton preparations, firni and a lot more. Prices of the foods are a tad on the higher side, when compared to the quantity being served. Recommended. 👍🏻

After waiting for several minutes and asking for someone to attend, nobody bothers to take the order. very very selective menu with high price. The worst part is without taking the order one serving person literally took away the menu card and placed it to another table. very very poor service. ruined the mood.

The only place where you get paneer in white gravy in the name of paneer butter masala. Place is very unhygienic. Waiter has their finger in the glass full of water that you shouldnt drink. Never recommend to anybody.

Biriyani, chaps and kebabs are good. Dont try the rezala (its not upto the mark). Kareems and Arsalan serve better Shahi Tukda than Aminia.

Most bogous I have ever meet! I heard from my friends about its Biriyani. So I parcelled 2packs of chicken biriyani on 16.9.2021. It charges Rs. 504But when it entered to our mouth we realised that it is a bogus (most faltu) food we have never ever eat.

When I use to remember 2002, when my Father brought me here for a biriyani meal & an huge difference of taste adding with hospitality was observed in 2021. Unable to maintain that old and unique taste According to myself.

Just brand name left which will be washed away soon. Most disgusting thing is the rule of service. They have assigned one waiter per row. Now even other waiters are free, they cannot pick order. In the last visit we left the hotel after 30min waiting as no waiter came to take order.

Aminia (The Original) is reminiscent of what Good Mughal food is all about. Unmatched taste with great quality guarantees no health hazards later. Have been eating food here from when I did not know how to Spell F-O-O-D. Must visit and seats in the cabin. One of a kind experience in this Modern world of eating habitats.

We went inside the restaurant and sat there for 20 minutes and no one , not a single person took our order. When we called the waiters for taking the order they simply ignored us. This happened for 20 minutes and then we left the place without eating and also pledged that will never come here and also will recommend others not to go there ever... Absolutely disgusting...

One of the best Biryanis youll eat anywhere in India. Had it last over ten years ago. Not an iota of change in that beautiful, mild, aromatic taste.
