Was one of my favourite spot until it got closed, remoured that illegal activities took place after evening.

This lake is relatively cleaner that other lakes you can find anywhere less in Krishnapur . People often used to come here to have a bath or swine here. In the evening time people used to come to get a taste of the cool clean breeze along with their beloved . The breeze used to so fast and continuous that one couldnt find any mosquitoes biting them . There used to stalks nearby selling peanuts , popcorn, jhal muri ,tale bhaja and many more.

It is close for common people, so many incident took place here so HIDCO decided close the jhil.

Named by 7 big ponds, centre of new town water supply, direct streaming from Ganges and purified in plant. Open area, evening wind is very soothing.

Newtown jhil park is actually an open area with lots of playing area. They not actually playground but plots without any construction. Once a year local community organise Mela as well. There is an e-riksha stand (took-took) which plies to Nazrul Tirtha DLF 1.
