Lot of options on the menu. Food was well cooked and tasty though service was a bit slow for the a la carte menu. However an attentive and cordial staff makes it worthwhile to dine there

Attended a wedding in one of the banquet halls. Quite spacious, loved the decor. The lobby was really pretty. The food was phenomenal. I, being one of the judgmental fellows when it comes to food, absolutely loved everything in the buffet. The mutton, rice, naan. Exceptional! Keep up the good work!

Only 1 problem.Food.Food is pathetic.Stayed for 6 days.Had breakfast, lunch, evening coffee and Dinner.Every single meal was P.A.T.H.E.T.I.CFrom snack items to main course to dessert.Chicken main course was tasteless.Gulab Jamun was hard & Cold.In Chocolate fudge dessert, i felt raw sugar crystals in mouth.Even Tea & Coffee was bad!I dont know what is so wrong with food staff.This is happening since 4 years in a row now. (as per last 4 years google reviews i have read).PS:- No complaints with any other thing. Staff is very nice and hospitable. They try to fix everything through their efforts but then, they are unable to do anything about food. So the person taking care of meals needs to read the reviews and do something about it.I had plans of visiting every month, for 7 days, due to my work there, but consider this my 1st and last visit.I will look for other options.

Staying in Room 322 currently. Booked through American Express which very categorically mentioned that the room has a deep soaked bathtub. However, the reality is a bit different yall.... cannot blame any Hotel vendor here because What I understand that they must have signed off prior to show those room amenities. Hi, it was nice experience. We called the restaurant just before going there and a table was blocked for us. We enjoyed the dinner with so many tasty options. There were different types of delicious sweet dishes and our children enjoyed a lot. Myself being vegetarian had so many options as well in addition to the options for non vegetarian. All the preparations were very tasty.

Everything went considerably well, till the time I checked out!Mr. Arup Saha at the front desk generated my invoice during my check out! While I have made the advance payment of my 3 night stay during my reservation. To my surprise, the invoice included the room charges and I was made to pay!I didnt want explanations because I was about to catch my flight early morning around 3 AM.I have raised a complaint and awaiting a response from the team!

Ambience was nice but I had one complain. I had ordered for Pizza but when the delivery came the person denied that there was no order for 🍕. I have had better food n services in multiple other restaurants. If you are charging for extravaganza then do show that in your hospitality. It was my birthday today and was expecting it to be special, I went with my hubby to have some quality time. I wont say I had the best of the above mentioned experience.

Had a short one night stay at the Vivanta, EM Bypass. Our first hotel stay in more than a year. It is heartbreaking to see what the pandemic has done to the industry. Every sector is badly hit, but somehow you notice it more with hotels. No bustle of travellers and business folks at the lobby, no bellboys moving luggages, no queing at the check in, empty elevators, bars closed, restaurants closed. Humanity at a standstill. And yet, the comfort of familiar hospitality. I have always admired the efficiency and culture of the Taj group of hotels and here it was again. Flawless under what must be very tough circumstances. Clean, safe and comforting. Excellent food from the In Room Dining folks. Lamb tender and juicy- not cooked to death, not too soft- just right. Prawn Risotto- light, rice cooked al dente and sings of the Prawn, not cheese, which is as it should be. Very comfy bed at night and a hot shower before we left. In these trying times the impecable functioning of Vivanta gave me hope and strength and I can only pass my solidarity towards the people who are keeping the colour flying high on the mast.

Vivanta Kolkata is having a serene atmosphere and it is well maintained. All COVID19 protocols are followed. For safety and security, they screen all the bags. The staff in the reception, restaurant and room service are courteous. The continental. breakfast in the restaurant are having many options. I liked the art works displayed in the corridor such as tram cars, Ambassador cars and heritage buildings etc. I liked the ambient and the stay.

Taj never gives you to complaint about anything. Everything was well managed and prepared. Mr. Sambit Sinha and Mr. Sukanto Mundi was everytime on time whenever I called for housekeeping, they are excellent at their jobs I wish both of them to be more successful in life. Rooms are cleaned neatly but one thing is that Bathrooms must have some space to hang your belongings that was one of the negative point on hand. Few bathroom sets are not up to the mark working. Overall a pleasant experience at Vivanta Kolkata, will vist once again if I got a chance

A very nice 5 star hotel to stay with family at a pocket-friendly budget . Location is very good. staff is well behaved. One must go for it and of course with Goibibo, that allowed us to check- in early and check- out late.

Located at the very heart of the southern fringe of KOLKATA.The behaviour of the staff is very cordial.Restaurant Mynt is having a wide range of cuisines for both the residents of the hotel and guests from outside. The buffet dinner is simply excellent and becomes more enjoyable in the presence of the courteous staff.

As usual Taj didnt give you to complaint regarding anything. Im quite regular with Vivanta Kolkata. But I have given 4-star because its quality of food has been degraded since I have visited last. Even Breakfast buffet is much restricted with limited items, while this was not previously. I didnt know either the Chef was changed or not breakfast Milkshake was quite disgusting to taste. But Taj is known for his hospitality and the quality of food. Another thing I have observed they are charging POS charges from your debit or credit card. Why this minimum charge youre collecting from the customer? Youre running a huge Hotel under the Brand TAJ why this type of Non-sense charges? Again Mr. Sukanta Mudi did excellent job for me, again hes present whenever I need him for even a minute thing. I bless him for bright future ahead.Just those small things need to be changed by Vivanta Kolkata. Thanks for your hospitality, should visit again

Really awesome place with great environment. You can order food also from outside. Friends from outside also allowed but 1 to 2. You can arrange your any occasion over there & hotel will set your room for your loved ones as per your request.

A mid-segment hotel with contemporary style. if one is not expecting top end super luxury, this property will satisfy.i spent half a day to attend a private event in their conference room at the pool side.also had to use their restaurant for coffee and a light lunch.lunch was great, good food and very good service.the event was organised efficiently.overall, nuce place to organise small events, or have a quick bite.

Stayed here for 2 nights in room no. 126 to attend conference. Rooms are cosy but less decorated, though all the amenities are available. In hotel wifi is good enough. But, at present post covid scenario, they are running with lack of man power, that is the reason for late house keeping supplies and service promptness.Food quality is good, hygienic but taste is so so.Location is beneficial for south Kolkata but to catch a flight from here is not a better option.You have to park your 4 wheelers under the open sky. For 2 wheelers, underground parking is available.

The place offers value for money stay, but unfortunately my stay was ruined once after noise made by some repair work. & Another time the Incharge who should only allocate adjoining rooms to connected people allocated one such room to me from where constant noise could not let me sleep all night. Even after multiple complaints to the reception nothing happened.I hope staff acts swiftly on such complaints in future.

Taj Vivanta did a goof up, we booked Superior Twin bed room but they gave us Single bed superior room.Room was just okay but mattress and pillows were very comfortable.Bathroom exhaust wasn’t working so it was terrible after taking shower with hot water as steam spreads in the room with no proper exhaust pipe.Bathrooms are small and jet shower fixture is poorly placed on the left hand side.The best part was complimentary Buffet Breakfast, which was lavish and scrumptious with hundreds of food variety 👌🏼👍.

Amazingly decorated the room with balloons and complementary cake and decorated swan shaped towels for my parents anniversary celebration. Wonderful behaviour of the staff all throughout our staycation of 1 night 2 days. Gave us complementary chocolates and fruits (mangoes bananas and Apple) for the first day after lunch. Even though the rooftop pool was off limits due to covid, the staff allowed us to lazily relax in the lounge chairs all evening enjoying the breathtaking 180° panoramic skyline view of the city. The gym was well equipped and sanitized. The resturant experience was exceptional - all 3 meals were delightful.

My stay was all good untill check out, Ms Ekabali was handling my check out from Taj. She entered some wrong bills and made us to pay , when enquired we came to know that she has done the mess with bill, she has put some other guest bill in my file and put them in calculations, And when we asked how and why? She is like : ok I will remove it , whats big deal?No sorry No empthy , No mistake acceptance , It was like its daily practice for then to make such mistkae and make guest pay. Approx 3-4 month before also we have stayed there and same problem was there with same lady. So for now its my last visit to Taj kolkata, Really not sure Taj is using such highly rude staff in hospitality Industry.- Sanjukta sarkar

Stayed for one night on 19th August. Around 10.30 pm there were two people outside my room ringing the doorbell. I opened to check and they apologized saying they were at the wrong room. Well I dont blame the hotel for th blame the hotel for this, but again at 11.30 pm there was again someone at my door and I was in deep sleep could not believe it would happen again. This time I peeped and saw someone again at the door. I did not open and called the reception and asked her to send the security. She promised to check it while I waited for her to respond. Ten minutes passed while I waited and again the doorbell rang. I peeped again and saw the same person again at my door. I complained to the reception on phone and she responded saying it is the housekeeping and has made a mistake. She seemed to be angry at me saying its just a mistake. It appears if it was a mistake then in my first complaint why this was not rectified and why did he ring the doorbell again. I complained to the L & D Manager the next day Ms Shilpi who said I should inform her as she handles all complaints and she promised to investigate. I was expecting a response from her but she has not done so far. Not sure how safe the hotel security is and how they will ensure such instances like this should not happen again. Till then

The food served in the room was delicious, though I love to go for buffet as it has various options. This time is was closed because of the lockdown imposed in Kolkata. I missed it , but the in room dining is nevertheless doing a great job . Enjoyed the Bengali delicacies. Last but not the least the staff are really courteous.Only problem I had was the calls were not answered promptly. I had to call 4-5 times and then someone received , to which I was informed that there was shortage of staff

One of the pinnacle five celebrity inn in Kolkata... tremendous in room dining, in conjunction with in house restaurant..Courteous personnel, very hygienic in nature thinking about the pandemic situation now. Feels terrific to be here. tremendous environment... with roof pinnacle pool and health club... normal a totally first-rate place to live and hangout. thanks.

Went there for a mid-week staycation during my parents marriage anniversary and it was the best experience we had post the pandemic. VIVANTA went above and beyond by arranging for a complimentary cake and chocolates and decorated the room for the occasion. The service was top notch and Id especially like to thank Miss Reema for her hospitality and taking good care of us, thereby making our stay pleasant and memorable.

It was a good stay though service was slow. Otherwise great room with ample facilities and good location.

Our party was on the roof top which has a breadth taking night view of the EASTERN BYE PASS in the North, Ruby hospital in the east and the RAJDANGA MAIN ROAD on the West. The attached photo is of the specious artistically decorated Reception Lounge.It was a marriage registration ceremony. The service was good.. The sitting arrangement was nice. The podium for the bride and the groom was decorated which leaves a nice impression about the Hotel.The buffet dinner which was started by offering mouth watering snacks was really of good standard. Over all it was a nice evening..... any one arranging a party here will be more than happy, even the Hotel employees were efficient and prompt.

A Taj group of Hotels is usually well maintained. Vivanta is good, but there is a good scope for improvement by way of prompt servicing. True, the Covid 19 pandemic has affected the business adversely but it doesnt stop one from putting the best foot forward.Hope to visit in better times, again.

It was a really good stay. The staff was very polite. Buffet services were really good. The rooms and corridors were squeaky clean. Kudos to the house keeping services.They have maintained the property really well. The manager was considerate of the guests needs. Even the gentlemen at the gate were 10/10 on hospitality. Surely from now this is gonna be my go to place every time I visit Kolkata.Keep up the good work, guys. ☺️

They should be ashamed of calling themselves a Taj property. Air conditioning doesnt work so much so that they actually offered to put a pedestal fan in our room after the housekeeping staff themselves admitted that the AC isnt working. And why could they not offer us an alternate room? Apparently, the poor air conditioning is there in every room! Avg food, over expensive.

I held the Taj group in very high regards based on my earlier experiences. However Vivanta surprised me. There is nothing to complain , but somehow it falls short of what one expects from the Taj group. Particularly in the food segment.

The all rounder 5star hotel in Kolkata.Trust me, this hotel has everything you need!Best food, best staff, bar, cafe and even bakery!!! There is a rooftop swimming pool and gym, which is not operational right now for COVID but planning to open soon. Vivanta takes booking for hosting private parties and events! The Sunday brunch is better than all the 5stars in the city right now! Stay is super comfy, and you will get everything you need. No doubt its the best. Highly recommended. Would love to visit again.

My experience at Taj Viventa was not that great, i stayed at the hotel for 3 days. i stayed in room 333,the first day i checked in the hotel was around 5:30, as soon as i checked i found that the room Wi fi was not working, i brought it to the hotel senior staff which got it rectified by around 7:00, I had my evening meal at room, i ordered checked and 2 roti, i found the chicken pieces was very hard, i somehow had it and gave my feedback on the same.Next day morning at brake fast i took poha and idli, as soon as i took one bite of Poha, I found a piece some hard piece in mouth, when i took out i fund that it was apiece of stone, i called the restaurant staff they came and appologise, even the Relation manager came and said sorry, but the damage had already done, I was tole that the senior staff will come to see me, i got call from the senior staff and said that he will take up the matter and get some resolution. But i dont know what happen, i got a call from the senior manager that he will come to see me once i am back from my official work in the evening, but unfortunately no body called me and also no body came to see me.The next day during my check out the relationship manager enquired with me that any body came to see me and i said no, i settled my bills and wacked out of the hotel.Overall it was a very horrible experience with me. I did not found the value for money and the service provided by the hotel stall was not that great for such type of hotel.

Excellent , across all platforms !👌👌👌Right from the reception to room service to the dining @ Mynt , everything was JUST perfect and we were made to feel @ home the moment we stepped in and completed the checking in formalities .All staff were courteous without being intrusive .The food (other than breakfast @ Mynt , we had egg devil dal tadka lehsuni , fish fry , Peruvian chicken with mango relish , BLT sandwich and chicken club sandwich as in room dining) was of best quality and tasty .We are already planning our next stay there and that too very soon !😊😊😊

Restaurant services is very poor even you never get good reply from restaurant staff if you want to stay in this covid time I recommend have food from outside because hotel gives you only one reply sir we apologise due to covid guidelines we dont serve food after 8 pm and in breakfast time they apologise we have less staff yes if you for holiday and can wait one hour for breakfast and dinner then this will be best property

Excellent Sunday brunch as usual! What makes it our favourite place is the caring people there and the prompt service. Therefore we always entertain our friends here and love to spend our Sundays, gorging on the fabulous food on offer!

Vivanta enjoys a great location situated right at the EM Bypass, Netaji Subhash Chandra Aiport is a 35 -40 min drive from the hotel.Vivanta offers all the comforts a star hotel can offer.The Covid-19 safety protocols were being diligently followed.Our room was very comfortable, well appointed and clean.Food was delicious and very authentic, enjoyed the IRD as well as the breakfast buffet, which was a decent spread in these times.Staff was caring and non intrusive, very hospitable.

Great hospitality, rooms also neat and tidy . Breakfast spread is also decent just in room dining on alacarte was not not upto the mark. Also as per price room size is not that big.

Was looking for a wedding venue but did not get proper response from the team...even my family members went their to check on the venue but Ashmita did not attend them properly and was very rude and she didn’t had time to show them the banquets too...also she mentioned that banquet will only get ready by oct and we have to wait till that time and we have our marriage planned on 16th Nov... and the same was not confirmed over the mail...very rude behaviour and false thing were informed to us...not at all a good experience...

Everything is awesome (food, ambience, staff, location) - except the water. This might not be a Taj issue but more of a Kolkata issue. Even the bottled water in the rooms tasted different than normal.Please check if something can be done to address this.

Nice hotel at the heart of the city. Staffs are supportive. Food is little costly compared to quality. They have a tinny swimming pool at the rooftop. Wink is the small bar they have. Wifi is very good. I enjoyed staying there.

This Hotel is located at a well place at the 4 point crossing near Ruby Hospital. Hospitality is very nice. Enough space in Reception area. Rooms are good. Moderate rent with other amenities.

The ambience is so pleasant. staff of the entire hotel are so polite and welcoming, house keeping staff members were really courteous. every time we were contacting IRD In room dining they were so cooperative and sweet. This hotel has the best delicious food.I would like to mention Mr.Alamgiri and Mr.Soumojith from IRD for their Excellent service.

Taj Vivanta Kolkata has most amazing view. However, something that is even better is the service and staff. Alamgir made us feel very welcome and arrangement was done very well.The most important thing is the response time of any request. Would recommend people for any of the functions.
