My mother around 75 years old had visited the Gariahat branch today to be advise some changes in the account as my father is extremely sick. She wrote a letter, a professional letter which she has never done before in her life, and took to this branch to make the changes. This particular female staff , wont mention the name as I will take this further up the authority, treated my mother like a beggar, was extremely rude, doesnt know how to behave with senior citizens, arrogant, and behaved in such a way that my mother was crying over the phone feeling so depressed with this atrocious unacceptable behaviour of a Standard chartered staff who should actually resign. Pray that she behaves well with her mother At least! If this how you behave what education would this generation be getting from such so called professional corporates..go back to school and learn some manners..

This is a branch of a foreign bank which in reality makes you feel that you have entered into a corporation office. You will remain seated in the reception area and no one will speak to you. You have to make the first move. Staff are very reluctant to resolve your problem and would create all kinds of hurdles.

I did not find the place. The location is possibly wrong.

Please avoid banking with them. Horrible experience! They only want us to park money and provide roadside service.
