Ramakrishna Mission Shilpapitha, Belghoria is one of the best Polytechnic College in West Bengal. Theres a Boys hostel namely Brahmananda Dham. Swami Brahmananda Maharaj was the first President of Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Belurmath. He had a wish that boys would learn work education or technical education. In his honour and sweet memory the Boys hostel has been named as Brahmananda Dham. Dham means a spiritual place. Here there is strict discipline, cleanliness and human spirit environment. The attitude of selfless spirit grows here. There is a prayer hall, library, dining hall, playground, pond etc. Poor and meritorious students get preference in Brhamananda Dham. Rice and vegetables are produced in Ramakrishna Missions own field. Fishes are available in the pond. There are about eighty jersey cows in the cattle place. In a brief it is really wonderful Dham. It is one of the best placement Polytechnic College in West Bengal. The Mission emphasizes on physical activities. The most important thing is that here there is an intense feeling of deep affection of Swamijis. The ex-students and their families visit here frequently.

Its one of very old centre of Ramakrishna Mission since pre-independence time. Very scenic with ponds and various trees. It house a students home since its conception. Its students home is very unique in a way of having a truly home like culture. Many students have become monks of the Ramakrishna Order.

This is an excellent school with a wonderful environment. Indian traditions are part of the learning along with a host of extra curricular activities along with fine arts.

Very peaceful. Local people, children come to this place in morning and evening for playing, & spend some time. Joggers come regularly. Thare is a very beautiful and well maintained field here.

The environment with the selfless service the monks and other lay devotees offer are not just commendable but a benchmark for the corruption and self-interest driven society. I would like to name one monk there whom I know personally and who transformed my life entirely. He is Swami Dheyananda,Principal of their polytechnique college. He had joined the order in the US after working over there for a few years. He holds two prestigious degrees BE from Jadavpur University after which he did his MTech in Computer Science at Indian Statistical Institute,Kolkata. He is an alumnus of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission. In one word it is a great center for learning and to build up ones life in the true sense.

Peaceful atmosphere. Spread around very large area. The centre has Sri Ramakrishna Temple where every day the evening arati is done by the hostel students. Poor and meritorious students can stay here. There is a government sponsored Polytechnic College also. There is prayer Hall, library, large dining hall, large playgrounds, pond. Taking all these together, it is a great place to visit with family if one wants to visit peaceful places. Swami Nirvedanandaji maharaj (Anadi Maharaj) was the first Secretary here
