I have never seen such a worst school before in my life. I studied in St Marys School Dum Dum before getting into here. It was the best school as per my opinion. What others have to sayi dont know. As beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. God why did I left my former school. 😔😭

Hi folks. I am a Student of XIITH standard of Indira Gandhi Memorial High School. To be frank, the schools environment is quite good. The teachers are strict but very much friendly too. The Laws & ethics are maintained peacefully. The School Management team is decent and there is ample amount of space in the campus. The classes are adequately of good size. There are a bit cons too like the Projector SmartDigi Board doesnt work on some classes, there is no playground (for football or cricket). But theres a Basketball area. The cleanliness is well maintained. The students are well behaved too. The Principal of the school is a bit short tempered and angry. But still every school has the same story. Overall the school is commendable :)

This school is good for you if you have enough money in your pocket to satisfy the monstrous demands of the management.I have spent my whole school life here and each and every year during any kind of celebration they would suck money from the students.And the behaviour of most of the non-teaching staffs is simply RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL.Though there are some really good teachers still present but many others have left few years ago.

No discipline.Theres a branch in Saltlake which is not affiliated to CBSE. It runs under this branch, which creates alot of problems and also very bad internals in boards.As a student here Im suggesting you, to never admit your child into this school.

Opposite to the school, there is Renuka Eye Hospital and Kidzee (Barasat Branch).

We called the school authorities for an appointment with principal for letting our NGO to collect old clothes from the school students that can be distributed amongst poor people. The lady who picked up the called did not even hear the reason why we called them. Just said no she cannot provide an appointment with the principal. We previously have worked with multiple CBSE and ICSE schools. Most have welcomed us with open arms and few have rejected that too politely and in a manner where there was enough respect in their rejections.

This is one of the worst schools situated in Dumdum.A school is basically rated by the quality of study,infrastructure and behaviour or staffs present.I shifted my son from Delhi Public School to this which was one of my worst decision I ever had.Once youre in this school you cant leave as they wont give you your transfer certificate.They know nothing except money.They even take extra money(more than cbse guidelines) for LOC registration for compartment subjects. The required money is 300 for this year and they took 1000 from everyone.They pressurise us to sell tickets for their useless carnival.Teachers are limited and bad.They are not at all co-operative and wont help the students in anywayNeed to say about the principal as this is very important.He is uncultured and dont know how to behave with a guardian as well as students.Have strict rules which are for their own benifits.And moreover they beat students including girls if they dont follow these rules.Rules such as you have to clear the classroom in breaktime(recess) which doesnt make sense. They just want to harass us and group them in the canteen so they make more profit.They cancelled my sons registration and for that he had to repeat a year in this damn school.He had computer which they replaced for biology.I request you to take this not as a challenge but as a reminder that such things are happening in DumDum.Please dont spoil your childs future and more importantly your childs school life.

In my time, IGMHS is one of the best school Ive ever heard from the people... Best teachers, authorities, administrations, Discipline and good name of course... Im the ex student of this school and wont judge it like any others...I was from 2008s batch. Im proud to be an ex-student of this school. But after we passed out I kinda went to few fest there it wasnt the same old thing I experienced in my time, they were different. But, one thing to say to all the students of IGMHS that be educated to yourself and the rest this school name will do... Thank you!!

The classrooms are old, walls are breaking down, it cant be seen from outside because the notorious principal colour paints every wall seen from outside. There is a scam of taking money from students who fail, due to which even a few students committed suicide. This institution should be banned.
