This is a cabin styled old eatery, selling delicious snacks.They have a fixed menu, and on Thursdays, it changes a bit.My favourites from here are: Egg Devil, Mutton chop, Fowl cutlet, Mutton Cutlet.The taste, although is still good, its not as drooling as it was earlier.N. B. By 6:30 pm, they sell out most of the items, so plan accordingly.

This is one of the oldest Cabin Cafe of Kolkata... Hiddenly located behind the Girish Park Metro Station... You can get the heritage feel from every corner of the place... They have a very limited menu and that also available at different days of the week... They are very famous for their egg devil... But my bad luck I failed to get the taste of it... But I tested there Vegetable Chop and Fowl Cutlet... The vegetable chop was huge in size and it tasted good... The fowl cutlet was also good but not as much as I expected... Nothing to tell about the ambience that much they still holding their traditional ambience... The staff are really e friendly and helpful... Pocket pinch here is is bit hi as per the quality standard are concerned...

Probably the best Egg devil of Kolkata. The fowl cutlet is also very tasty. Location is just beside Girish Park metro. It can give any outlet like Kalika or Apanjan a tough competition. Only negative side is waiting time is very prolonged and variety is lacking

So much old restaurants are still there in heart of Kolkata. Niranjan nagar is one of those. Its a small place but food quality is good. I have tried mutton cutlet. Its good.

Almost a century old eatery house, its one of the oldest cabin cafe of North Kolkata, it was established in 1922. Located behind the Girish Park Metro Station platform no 2. This place serves beautiful delicious snacks. The price is reasonable too, given the fact that this place is an old establishment you will find old wooden tables with some plastic chairs. But if you just care for the food its a must visit. Have been eating here for last 4-5 years. It was one of our favourite spot during college days.Each and every item available here is tasty but my personal favourites are egg devil, fowl cutlet, vegetable chops, fish fry, mutton cutlet, mutton liver. But I must say my last visit was not so good cause I really felt that their taste had been deteriorated.

Today i went to this place for eating their signature dish which is EGG DEVIL but my bad luck i havent found egg devil because on thursday they dont provide egg devil and many more item because on thursday they use to prepare special menu item which is different from normal days menu.So i have tried their chicken foul cutlet from their thursday special menu, the cutlet taste was average, the staff were polite but ambience was not upto the mark.Please note: once again i am reminding you guys thursday menu is limited with less option of snacks which is different from weekdaysSo if you want to taste more option of snacks then avoid thursday...

Good old place for Bengali fried food lovers. Specially ‘special fish cutlets’, for that you have to visit on Thursday and on Thursday they do not serve mutton items. So if you have to try mutton item visit any day except Thursday. Also one more important thing they only accept cash and no other mode of payments. 😞

One of the oldest destination in Kolkata for Cutlets. Located exactly adjacent to the Girish Park metro station on CR Avenue offers a no of items like fowl cutlet, breast cutlet, fish cutlet, egg devil etc. The items are really tasty and nice to look at. But the crispy deep fried rava layer sometimes hides the real taste of the meat. The place is very likely to be crowdy but at the same time service is really prompt. All the prices are pocket friendly.

They are one of the oldest in North Kolkata.Food : You must try Fish Fry and Foul Cutlet which you must not miss is the Special Fish Cutlet ( they serve only on Thursday). Special Fish Cutlet will melt in your mouth and you will have a Divine feel.Ambiance : very average as the shop is very old. Pre Independence I believe.Staffs : All the staffs are good. Pal Da is the oldest one.Note : if you want to enjoy mutton Cutlet then dont go on Thursday as they dont serve any mutton dish on that day.If you want to give it a try then try to be there before 7 PM as their stocks will not last after that ( mostly)

Must visit once in this one of the oldest restaurents in North Kolkata. It is located just beside the Girish park metro station which is towards Balaram dey street. Instead of finest location, the taste of every cutlet and fish fry is awesome , must worth it. As it is located near my office area, we prefer to eat for evening snacks here.

Superb food at excellent prices.

Today I visited this very old place whose stories I heard from my grandfather and father. I was looking for dimer devil(their most popular dish) but couldnt get it due to it was finished before I reached there. So I tried mangser chop and kofta,both of them were delicious. But I was mesmerized with taste of kofta. I never find this type of dish any where else. It was an amazing dish.They serve 2pcs in a plate in a pocket friendly price.

I have seen so many YouTubers covering this but we have never got much of a chance to explore it. However, one day accidentally we discovered it and went there for lunch, not knowing it was popular for snacks items only and they dont have options for normal meals. Since we were very hungry and had entered into the place, we decided to whatever close options were available there and eventually had to order the egg curry and bread(pao, cause normal roti wasnt also available on that day). I felt like thats the best egg curry I ever had and pao never tested any better. One more thing, which people already know and I would also mention that you will actually feel the difference of a cutlet from this eatery and any other.

One of the oldest food joint. Situated right next to Girish Park Metro and can be easily spotted from the road. They serve really good Braised Cutlet and Egg Devils. The taste has remained almost unchanged even after so many years. I tried their Fish Fry which was not upto the mark. The quality of service has fallen down and the behaviour of the person sitting at the counter was definitely not polite. With social media, theyve become way more popular than ever.Make sure you visit early evening as most of the stuffs get over quickly.

This is cabin type small restaurant behind the girishpark metro gate No.2. Many peoples after their work come here for their tiffin. This kind of giant Egg devil i never seen/eat😀😀..Faul cutlet also very tasty. Ambience is same as old cabins have.Price is reasonable.

This place serves beautiful snacks. Its a quite unsung but favourite snacks joint for Bengalis. It is located just near the Girish Park metro station. Mouth watering snacks are served here with good preparations along with tea. Bread is a staple here. And if you are a retro person then this will definitely give you enough pleasure. Fried items are worth having.

One of the oldest Chop Cutlet cabin of Kolkata. Chicken,mutton, fish cutlets are available at a very reasonable price like 60-70 rupees. Fish fry & Dimer devil is also quite popular & tasty items of this Cabin which is situated just beside Girish park metro station

Behaviour is very bad, food quality is not good at all. They are a 97 years old shop but the way they are running this business is too bad.

I tried Mutton Breast Cutlet which is one of the speciality of this restaurant. It was really fantastic. I also ordered Bread and Mutton Kosha. Gravy of the Mutton Kosha was excellent but the Mutton pieces were bony.

Good food with reasonable price

Situated near gate of Girish park metro station, I went there inspired by a review of a youtube video. But it didnt turn out to be as I expected. Price is not so pocket friendly and the kitchen also didnt seem hygienic. One time visit is okay. The menu is also attached here. See and decide for yourself.

Egg Devil & Mutton Kosha was superb

I was with classmates. what more does one need for a good time! but we were on a mission. the famous Egg Devil. they only make devil with mutton kima. for that reason, they only sell this item six days a week, except Thursdays.it was excellent, as expected. we then moved on to the Braised Cutlet, which was even better.only one caution - go early. they mostly sell off their stuff by six thirty in the evening.

Despite the inroads made by pizzas, burgers and pastas, these old Kolkata specific mouth watering dishes like mutton chops and egg devils continue to flourish. Situated just behind Girish Park metro station on western side, this is one of the few remaining old Calcutta food joints. It is famous for its mouth watering vegetable and mutton chops as well as egg devil. The place has been given a make over recently and has about 5 tables. Many prefer take away. Peak time is from 5 pm to 7 pm. The place can accommodate about 20 people at a time.

Niranjan is an emotion. Have been eating from here for last 12-13 yrs. Never disappointed. Their mutton cutlet, egg devil, vegetable bom, mutton liver are amazing.

But it also is a place arrested in its age old structure and ambience - the cobwebs around all round the corner of the walls are an eye sore. It is so true that we lack basic entrepreneurial skills.Its an all cash restaurant taking pride of in not accepting credit, debit or wallet payments.Coming to the food, seems more or less it is encashing on its legacy - you can get better stuff elsewhere at a reasonable price.

It is a nice restaurant for an evening snack. I enjoyed the time in this restaurant. I had ordered a mutton cutlet, one fish fry and a egg devil , it was not oily and was very tasty. Very good food quality hear..

We tried breast cutlet, fish fry, devil, bread and mutton curry..every thing was so tasty, its great and yummy BUT never ever try liver curry, its too bad.

Cons: Every item is little sweeter including egg devil, mangser chop..and somewhat lumpy sticky. Pros: Quality of ingredients very good, tried a huge portion of various fries but no after effect

If you are bangali food lover special cutlets, or many type of delicious foods, bangladeshi tourist must go this restaurant to test their food.

Just an awesome place for fast food

Almost a century old eatery, the fish fingers are good, i found the mutton kosha a tad rubbery. Open for around two hours in the morning till 10am and in the evenings. Old Calcutta feel, and they only accept cash.

Just outside metro station... small , humble place... fish fry is a delight here... also serves other snacks and tea .
