A cosy shop for pet owners.They give vaccines for your pets, they even have a spa for the dogs and feline friends. I was there to upgrade my aquarium, get some new fish, some decorative items and filter. The range and variety available here is overwhelming. You can quite literally get everything you want for your pet friends.I am a newbie in this whole pet thing and wanted a low-maintenance aquarium. The staff was very keen and forward to help me out and make us understand the entire process of setting up the tank and its usability as well.I would surely recommend this place in my circle.

This is a Pet Shop located in Saltlake BD block . It is behind the BD market so you have to enter the block , come straight where the market finishes and take left turn from corner . Go straight and on your left hand side you will see Animal Planet pet care center.Its a nice place and have visited it multiple time though years coz I have two pets. They not only keep pet care food, grooming stuffs and toys but also have doctors to see your pet and they also keep their medicines. All under one roof.In case u live in Newtown Kolkata you can visit their other outlets, one in Newtown Mela Ground and another one is in City Center 2 . Please check if the doctor is available in CC2 coz Ive never taken my pets there so I dont know. Feel free to contact them. Oh! In case you are planning to get a pet , you can get them here as well.

I have been going to Animal Planet for more than a year now for my Retriever. I have been availing pet bath and pet grooming services here. The service has been good all through and no complaints as such. My pet has been taken care of and service is provided in a systematic way. But recently they have increased the price exorbitantly. Previously it used to be reasonable, but now all discounts have been curtailed and prices have been increased for the same services making it damn expensive. Theres no added facilities with an increase in price. Given a 4 star because of this exorbitant rise in prices.

The medical services there doesnt deserve even a single star. The vet doesnt know the doses of medication to be prescribed to your pet. I took my beagle there and he was just of no help. Save your time and pet . Take your pet some better place and save him. I couldnt save mine.Dear Owner would you like me to send you the prescription? And let me tell u one thing. I m a doctor myself and if i m putting this kinda allegation on a vet then it must be right!! Anyways I still have prescription so if u want the pic of it with your prescription pad lemme kno!

Really nice shop at a very convenient location in salt lake. The store is a very stressfree atmosphere for your puppy with extremely friendly staff rushing to your aid. The vet here is also really kind, caring and friendly.Mr.Tarun from Animel Planet helped us rehome our young shih tzu as we are going through a family crisis selflessly without any gain to him. He is truly a very gentle soul who really feels and cares for your pets.

1. Their staffs do not pay attention to you unless you are going to buy something expensive.2. They are simply ignorant towards the animal. I specially ordered food and milk formula for my 1 month old kitten. They kept me waiting for 3 days and then confirmed that the product has reached their shop from another animal planet branch. But when I reached the products were not there.All they are doing is business. They give a damn about your pets life and well-being.

Doctor and all is fine but the behaviour and professionalism is not there at all...if you don’t check they will give you the expired medicine and then harass you by putting the things on you and saying ITS YOUR FAULT AS YOU SHOULD HAVE ALSO SEEN IT, but the horror doesn’t ends there...they will ask you to come down with the medicine and then they will replace it’s not that they have given you expired medicine which could have been fatal to your pet...so they do the whole exchange thing l. They ask you to come and if you can’t then they’ll say next time you’ll come then take the medicine...They don’t consider your pets they just mean their Business.

An all rounder place where you can find anything for your love pet. Varieties of aquarium fish are also available. There is a parlour for your love pet where you can cut their nails, clean their ears,eyes and go for varieties of washes. A one stop market for your dearest pet. A must visit.

Executive Price.... Rs.120 leash is Rs.500 here. Best option to buy is Chadni market this shope gets supplies from chadni and re- brands it.... Fish supply items are super expensive better to buy it from Galiff Street if not from Howrah. Fish Tanks are 30% to 45% costlier here. Live animals and fishes are 50% expensive here.

Their internal communication is messed up when it comes to product delivery. They are swift to play blame games. Their staff is rude and incompetent. There are other pet stores in the same area which are not as fancy as them, but at least they care.

Its a third class place to go for treatment of bunnies where Dr. Krishnanu Ghosh prescribed paediatric medicine for my 5-month old bunny for a small wound and he took life of my precious bunny within one day and in emergency situations he never pick calls and in that case we are so helpless to whom we get any idea of our bunnys health.This place is only for moneymaking and looting people who trust them blindly.These private clinics must be shut down as because they are just running their business and not here for any service despite of spending money on them.All time for my bunny Mr. Krishnanu Ghosh has prescribed child medicines and that is so much harmful for our pets.After posting my review owner of Animal planet forced me to remove it saying that my review is misleading and also stated that Mr. Krishnanu Ghosh is no more associated with them for last 4 months but they must known to this reality he was attending pets in animal planet in same period.Yes it is considered as misleading for them as it is the bitter truth but before hiring any vet they must also clarify that how much he is capable of doing all these services because its related to life of a vet for which these people come with a consent to be signed by pet owner and in case of any loss they have no any liability related to that loss.Money makers will not understand this as only money matters for them.

The owners are not be seen anymore. The Vet is inexperienced which we found out after taking our pup. The staff are more professional than caring and have limited knowledge

No doubt they have very good stock. They certainly have every possible products required for pets. But only thing very disappointing to me was, they keep customer waiting for long even when doctors availability is uncertain. However i will take it as my bad luck and i faced this uncertainty.

Nice shop, you can get pet, aquarium accessories and live plants too. They will even get you puppies but you will have to wait.

Worst ever experience. Very unprofessional staff, the vet and his assistant was rude ,but prescribed expensive medicines. We took our pet to a senior pet clinic located near Kasba municipal market, Rajdanga and saved the life of our pup. AP was good earlier when the owners personally were present and had senior experienced vets. Now it is run by inexperienced staff simply to earn cash.

The vet-service is extremely bad. The present vet appears to be inexperienced but interested to prescribe unnecessary expensive items. Even blood-test (costing Rs.6,000) is prescribed, if one goes to treat his/her dog with simple tick/flea problem. A tick collar (costing Rs.2200) is almost always there in the prescription. I have been visiting the place since 2013, but recently got very much dissatisfied with the service. They never replied emails.

I visited this place for the first time as I have recently relocated to Kolkata.Took my golden retriever puppy for grooming. My friend had recommended Shambhu da.He did a fairly good job.Few concerns that propped up, as I had never faced this before in Bangalore.1. I consulted the available doctor for a routine checkup. Weight etc. He prescribed 3-4 medicines. I wonder why. He could have instead given me some ideas about natural food for my puppy. Why make his system dependant on medicines?He was extremely busy talking to others who constantly kept interfering during our consultation. Hence he didnt have 100% attention on my puppy.2. We had visited the center the previous evening to enquire about the services and available slot for grooming. We were told its on first come first serve basis,hence we should be there by 10:30 am. Absolutely ok.We were the second client and reached at 10:30 am as told.They were cleaning up the place and they started with their first client shortly after 11:30 am.We were finally called at 1 pm !!You have two groomers. Then why couldnt you accomodate us?I seriously suggest Animal Planet to respect their clients time as well as this is clearly unprofessional. Do we seriously need to spend half a day for a 60 minutes grooming session?3. The pet parent is not allowed inside while the grooming session is on, which is understandable.However, the groomer constantly keeps yelling at the pet and I could hear certain sounds which is quite unnerving and it made me think multiple times if I should wait further my puppys turn or leave. It really makes a pet parent absolutely concerned.I have never experienced anything like the above and hence highlighting these concerns. In Bangalore I could give my puppy for grooming with a blindfold and be absolutely tension free. And I had the same expectations from Animal Planet.I request the owner to kindly look into this and help me out if there is a gap somewhere.

My family has visited Animel Planet on multiple occasions over many years. We have 2 dogs and over 10 cats.This is my learning:There are 4 aspects - 1. Pet products store2. Sale of pets3. Grooming services4. Veterinary doctorPet products: great variety. They sell all kinds of useful products along with medicines. They are good as sellers of products.Sale of pets: I have never used this service so cannot comment.Grooming: the person is experienced. But they dont care about the animal. I took my dog for bath and haircut and my experience was terrifying. While drying my dog the groomer blew the high speed dryer into my dogs ear and screamed Im such pain that I had to rush to their bathing room to see what was happening. What I saw shook me to the core. My dog spasmed from fear and he was floating mid-air because they had tied him. My dog is not new to grooming. I have personally groomed him over the years and also taken him to multiple grooming centres in different cities across the country. I have never seen him in such pain and fear ever before. I took my dog without letting them dry him or cut his hair after seeing this.My advice: dont avail their grooming service because you wont be allowed to see how they are treating your dog behind closed doors in the grooming and bathing room.Veterinary doctor: Im sure people know about the doctor. Hes one of the worst. In fact people outside Kolkata know how horrible he is. Such is his fame.In short, Animel Planet is good as a pet store where you can buy the products you need. But please dont go for grooming or vet visit.

Extremely UNRELIABLE !! I bought a black Labrador puppy from Animal Planet Salt Lake (BD Block) on 15 February 2020. As we never had any experience of keeping Pet earlier they sold the puppy to us WITHOUT ANY BILL or PAPER !!Now he is 6 months old and has developed Hip Dysplasia, which is a genetic disease caused by inheritance. Now we have understood why Animal Planet sold the puppy without papers, for hiding the facts from us.Highly unethical & irresponsible people & should be avoided.

This is a very clean place with uniformed attendants. It has a wide variety of both medicines and food for pets. The attendants are well-spoken and courteous. I took my kitten to Dr IB Dey.

Its a good store if you have dogs or cats n fishes. But small pets like rabbits due to low demand of products the items were comparatively less. Expected high class hay at their store which couldnt find nor probiotic for rabbits. Only dog ones were available :(

Bad service, casual behavior no discipline.Even after calling a day prior where I was given a time slot by a lady. And When I went today they denied service of my pet saying there is only one groomer who has to leave by 4. Very very disappointing!! Why not have more groomers? And accurate information about time slots?

Pathetic experience. Today I got my Persian cat for cleaning. After cleaning when we came back home I checked my cat was bleeding from his right ear. We Immediately gave him betadine lotion as it was paining for my 6 months baby Persian cat. He kept on sleeping for the whole day as his ears might be paining. How rude they can be. If this kind of cleaning cost Rs 1000/- i m sorry to say they are cheating with excessive money and untrained professional. We will take necessary steps against this kind of service.(SALT LAKE sec -1 , Kolkata).

Dont waste your hard earned money on grooming of your loving pet ever on Animal planet. They have the most awful groomers. As summers are approaching my husband has told them to chop offoff pet Shitzhus hair they have chopped off all the hair including the facial hair making her look like a mix between Chihuahua and Street dog. Clearly they dont have any sense. Also coming to the price point they charge a hefty amount for all the service and the products are heavily prices too.
