Course fees little bit expensive, it could be better within 5-6 year. By the way university environment was outstanding. You can feel the nature. there are two hostel boys and girls but none of them active right now .

I spend two years in this beautiful campus. These two years will be the most memorable for me. The campus is very beautiful and has many scenic views. It includes ponds and many trees. After that, the professors are very helpful and the staff were very cooperative.

Reviewing after Personal experience, I didnt like the management as well as the ambience. Located in remote area and there is no single pharmacy around. Moreover no first aid for any emergency. Though there was some doctors chamber which was closed So no use. Stinking washrooms. And so on.Yet to know about the quality of education provided in this university.

The campus is very clean and very big but the location of this university is very bad . From barasat bus stand either bus or auto goes to kaji bari and from kaji bari one have to take toto or auto ...its very far away from the main town.

How to reach from kolkata by bus/train : a few direct bus from the city. Better go to Colony more, Barasat than walk a few metres to Hela Bartala, and there you get auto for Gaji Bari. After you reach Gazi Bari take toto/auto for the university.If you want to go by train, catch Barasat local from Sealdah and get down at Barasat 🚉 and then from station catch an auto/toto for Gazi Bari and from there take an auto/toto for the university.About the university: situated in beautiful and peaceful village area, and the staff are quite good in comparison with Calcutta Universitys arrogant class Clerks and security staff. However, they are not timely as its common in government job of India.Its founded just to divide the pressure of Calcutta University, and almost all colleges of North 24 parganas, thats dumdum, and salt lake falls under this State University.🔅But sad thing is even you ask about the university in Barasat location, you ll get a few people who knows the university location. LOL.Faculties: needless to say that when top IITs and IIMs lacks good faculty, university and colleges of main stream education should not expect/look for good faculties.Reason : R E S E R V A T I O N

University students get to avail the facility of University Bus which is better but if you miss the bus its little hard cz there is no direct auto only Bus no. 81 is there which will take you to the destination after then also u need to walk for atleast 2 km to reach to the University

Today I went WBSU... This place is just awesome, all teachers n non Teachers staffs, NSS volunteers are just awesome, they are too much caring n helpful...

This university is located in a remote village. If you want to visit here then from barrackpore railway you have to take 81 no. bus , then from Kajibari its 20 minutes distance. University campus is good,a perfect place for study.But seats for students in this university is few.

The West Bengal State University is located at Barasat.Another name is Barasat University.It is usually at Kazibari name stop in the middle of Barasat Barakpur.Was founded in 2008.At present the Vice-Chancellor is Prof.Mahua Das .The university is covered with a complete environment.Also covered with security guards and CCTV cameras.What is not here is hostel service.Everything is great except hostel service.

Here you have good teacher and friendly staff with a very big area and all fancy facality are very good and outside nature is good also, the university also under RUSA project so you can have very high speed internet connection and good service for all your needs your a higher education. This is not a university.This is a beautiful tourist spot.Students are going to there for enjoyment and No study occurs in this place.Transportation bakwas,Parai toh hoti nahi,adda dene k liye jao,fees do,exam do or certificate leke bari jao

Location is cornered . It took me 2 n a half hour to reach there from Saltlake. I visited there for my certificate issue but the wait time to get my work done was too long .

Nice University, beautifully designed and decorated. Mainly the sitting place beneath the Mango tree is peaceful. But the administrative services are not so good...

The worst university in West Bengal... Probably in the whole country... There is no proper management. Specialy the HOD of physiology dpt. is so rude, arrogant and has no idea of how to guide a dpt. properly. There is no student friendly environment. Its better to go for distance education in any other university than taking admission in this hell.

I did my graduation under this university. Not a good experience. They dont check students exam khatas well. Just give everyone an average marks. The University has no good faculty. Just OK......and the place is so far from major cities like Kolkata, Barasat etc. Transport system is poor.

Unhealthy Atmosphere where Rooms are full of Dust Computer table key board are not clean if you want to use u have to clean it Ur-self.4. dont Have official syllabus some of Department , even after RTI they failed to provide it.in 2016 2nd semester syllabus & 2017 2nd sem syllabus is different specally some topic.5. Practical Orientated Course also been teach By Chalk & Talk method .its like u will learn In theory How to Drive a Car !! But Car will not be provide for practice From Image Or Google video Prof tech You the things. Its Like with out Car you are learning driving even u will get certificate for that. u r Driver.6 . In most of the department No Internship / placement provide by university . No Inter class events Social organized .University mean student will grow share knowledge discuss various type of social issue debate etc which is not possible.In here most Of Students Came for Degree .some prof dont attend class properly of they just came take small class it like ADDA & they leave... before the exam they provide Us Notes Xerox copy Or Via email Pdf...whet we have to write in paper actually student will learn nothing . Those prof dont even accept if write the ans from other source.ButIf you are Employee & want to do Regular course this is the Best University of Westbengal

Name is good, West Bengal State University but from any angle it does not look like. Located far away in Barasat North 24 Paragnas. The University was built in the year 2008. The institute still crying for improvement in all aspects.

This is a relatively new University, formed in 2008. Its on the left side of the Barasat-Barrackpur road, while going from Barasat to Barrackpur. The distance from this road to University is also significant, at least 5 minutes by car. The environment of the University is awesome and there are full of greenries around. A few picturesque​ ponds are also found in the nearby area. You will breathe fresh air and the area is noise, pollution free. An ideal place for doing study and research.

The location is very bad. There is not even adequate transportation to reach the university. The working staffs are not well behaved. They generally used to work on preference basis. Very poor system overall. I hope it will improve over time.

Its good enough in its initial stage. Library is disappointing: books are few, no electronic resource and most of the time xerox machine remains out of order. But the employees working in the library are very helpful. As a student of English department I must say that the teachers are excellent and very helpful.
