I see many bad reviews here. All I know is for me this place is a saviour. My dog was on the verge of dying and these people saved her with the proper treatment and medicines. Before this I had visited another vet who prescribed wrong medicines for my Labrador. He condition was getting worse. We then took her to Paws and Claws and after getting the right treatment she was healed. Also the staff there are really helpful.Thank you Paws and Claws.

Very well behaved and experienced staff and doctor. They treated my bunny very well. Literally they give my bunny a second life.

They dont deserve any stars. Most unprofessional and unethical. Starting from the staff to the attending Doctor. They dont value time. Its as if they are doing us a favor by treating our fur babies. Went for a surgery today but had to come back without getting treated because the Doctor didnt come on time. Though was asked to come by 11 am. The staff starts coming to the clinic only after 11.30 am. There is no coordination between the staff and the Doctor. Dont take your pets there if you love them. The team is unprofessional to the core. Its a business right but there should be some love and compassion for the animals because of whom the clinic is operational. They are surviving only because this is in India where animal laws are not as strict as it should be.

Vet does not want to treat rabbits....very reluctant ..does not explain the disease well...does not devote time...hurries and scribbles medicines and hushes you out...and does not listen to the queries and the problem ...gives much attention to dogs though... specially expensive breeds...this is my opinion from visiting their twice...no facilities for emergency service or grooming for bunnies ....

The clinic is led by an excellent vet Dr. Subir Bhattacharya , (possibly the best Vet )and a great support team and management . Here I found some negative comments too along with many positive ones, but as per me this place is good, visited for one of the good girl in my area who had a big fight with one pet dog and injured herself badly. Treatment was very good and she recovered within a few days. Staffs are really good and helpful. Mentioned good girl is a stray one but get good support from all of the staffs and doctor.

Well here is the thing. Go there only if your pockets are full. The doctor is only available after 6. The consulting fees are okay but you wont get the prescribed medicines anywhere except the pharmacy in their clinic. The medicines are damn expensive . You will need atleast 6 to 7k minimum for each visit even for non critical issue . Although the medicines always work but it is damn expensive.

Do not go to him for small and exotic animals as he is not experienced with them. My two bunnies had severe skin infection, and he concluded that it is fungal without conducting any skin scraping test. He prescribed anti fungal medication, that too topical, which didnt do anything to resolve the issue and caused a lot of stress to the poor animals as they dont like being held and ingested most of the ointment while trying to clean it off their fur. I went to him 3 times and even asked him to test, he didnt do so and convinced me to give anti fungal medication for 3 months. The bunnies almost died. Finally took them to another vet and after conducting skin scraping tests we found that it was mange infestation. They improved within one week of taking new medication(oral).I repeat - DO NOT TAKE EXOTIC PETS TO HIM.He will just swindle you and make you buy unnecessary medicine and supplements intended for cats and dogs.

MISGUIDEDService is quick and good but x-ray team misguided us. As doctor prescribed two xray for our pet, we have confirmed them still they did 4 xray, when we showed the plates to doc, doc said only two is required as prescribed. That means clinic has charged 900 rupees extra from us. So make sure before do the same.

I had taken my 39 data old Labrador puppy there who was chronically ill with Kennel Cough. My opinion on the 5 star reviews here - Either they never had pets or they see Jesus in Satan.I can only speak about myself and My experience does not match with any of the good reviews here.It could be tolerable if a so called life savior is un-professional, or lacks efficacy, or is just revenue focused. Animals are administered a safe and reliable treatment from Dr. Subir Bhattacharya. However, the reception service at the clinic is pathetic! At present, they are not at all equipped to handle queries from clients nor coordinate with the doctor himself. The unusually long waiting-periods are a consequence of this.This is absolutely unacceptable, more so since the clinic is a terrifying environment for most pets!I am very disappointed, having waited more than 2 hours during my last visit to the clinic on 3/03/2021.

The staff is good but the doctor though degree holder is horrible..... He doesnt like to touch your pet...even if touches your pet you will notice he does it with utmost nonchalant attitude.. My sweetheart was suffering from acute skin problems. whenever I visited him he used to inject some expensive injections but to no avail.... Then I switched to another Doctor Who took care of her as his own daughter, checked her thoroughly with great affection ...prescribed the right medicines and did her dressing himself... now she has recovered from her sufferings.... Had I kept going there my pet would have died.... I will never recommend anyone paws and claws clinic , rajdanga kolkata..... However, the staff is good and cordial..... I wish I could give less than one star. Dr. Subir Bhattacharya is a criminal and Paws and Claws as well, who has killed so many innocent and voiceless creatures. Please do not go after the 5 star reviews as they are fake and paid ones. If you want to save your money and most importantly your loving pet from death then please do not fall prey to this clinic. Its a death trap, they killed my healthy pet (7 and half years old healthy Lab and her name was Molly) after extracting almost Rs 1 lac. I am planning to sue them very soon, and will surely looking to get justice for my Princess Molly. Karma is watching them and waiting to take its move anytime soon. Yesterday I visit here for my rabbit. My rabbit body temperature fault automatically . They tried to save her, but my rabbit cant make out. But doc are very humble person. His behaviour very good. I recommend to all my relatives. For their pets. The doc help me for all inquires I needed for my rabbit. Now I have 3 rabbits. He gave them some medicine to make them better health. I gave 5 star for their hospitality and their behaviour.

I have a wonderful experience of treating my Labrador Retriever and German Shepherd at Paws and Claws. Dr Subir Bhattacharya is one of the best doctor for pets. He is very sympathetic towards our pets and have the credit of saving many lives.There is a guy called, Romen, who is very caring towards all pets, and very efficient in assisting Dr Bhattacharya.Dr Bhattacharya charges only Rs 400 as fees, which is very justified.I wish the entire team of Paws and Claws -- my best wishes.I will highly recommend this clinic for best care for pets.

Absolutely bad place to visit if you have some knowledge about what medicine they are giving. Dr Subir an anatomy specialist and not medicine will give your pet supplements to make money. You will be surprised to note that my pug was unwell and was having urinary track problem, he got all tests done and was giving him only supplements and no medicine and ultimately I lost my pet. A thug to the core, another case i just got the shih tzu pup, two months old and when I went for vaccination he did every thing except vaccination and made money and asked us to come after 7 days for vaccination and when we went he said to give him puppy DP a vaccine to be given when a puppy is around a month (it is clearly mentioned even on the website of my medicine and also my cousin being a vet not in Kolkata though told specifically that no puppy DP now but normal 1st distemper medicine ) when I questioned Dr Subir that why he should not be given Puppy DP now as he is two month old , he simply asked me to leave and get things done from anywhere else. I didn’t learned from my first mistake but now with great authority I can say that he is a cheat and money maker with limited knowledge.

If youre okay with pricey treatment given which can be availed in justified charge then go for it.. But I found this place way more pricey and out of budget even for someone earns very good..Treatment is good, staffs are nice..But 1 star for over charging for pets..Instead I will recommend you to go for online shops to buy pet products...and find some other pet clinic if you dont wanna spend tons for pet check up and treatment..e.g. : They charge 5k for Indian breed cat neutering which can be availed in 1k..

I would just repeat what all of the negative reviews have said. They will rob you of your hard earned money by insisting that some random overpriced supplements and strange herbal preparations are necessary medicines for your pet. Also beware of the doctor. He doesnt know how to respect people. He wont even touch your pet but will prescribe these overpriced medicines and insult you and shout at you if you dare to question him. These people might appear nice but they are the most unethical pet clinic I have ever been to.

This review is both of the doctor, Subir Bhattacharya, as well as Paws and Claws. We have been consulting Dr. Bhattacharya at his Salt Lake clinic since our beloved Labrador was a puppy and we trusted him blindly(how I regret it now!) as he proved to be knowledgeable and competent each time. He did have a habit of prescribing rubbish expensive supplements but we bore with it because of his other qualities.Recently my dog had swollen lymph nodes and for two months we went through a whirlwind of tests and consultations as our bills ran up to a few ten thousands. The doctor gave us a series of misdiagnosis and helplessly we watched our baby deteriorate to the point of near-death on the wrong medicines. He then had hemorrhage in his eyes and went BLIND in a week, but even then the doctor said its nothing and probably just a low blood sugar problem. His solution to my dogs blindness, was, literally, Feed him ice cream.A lot of vets in Kolkata are substandard, incompetent, unethical medical professionals who do not deserve to be called doctors (I speak from experience, Ive been to at least 10 so-called best vets in Kolkata). I finally took him to Dr.John in Advanced Pet Care who correctly diagnosed it as lymphoma and started chemotherapy. My baby is now doing much, much better.I suspect Dr.Bhattacharya either knew it was cancer and hid it from us because he didnt want to take on the responsibility of a terminally ill patient, or else he truly failed to recognise it even though it was so obvious, in both cases he should be charged with NEGLIGENCE and utter INCOMPETENCE. Whether to put my dog through chemotherapy or not was OUR decision to make, and I will never forgive him for letting my dog go blind and suffer so much before I finally luckily found an honest and good doctor. Bhattacharya robbed us of the year or two we might have had with Leo had he started chemo on time.As for the clinic Paws and Claws, well, like doctor like clinic. The staff will smile at you and prey on your emotions; overcharging and extortion are their specialities and they will turn rude and unprofessional the moment you call them out on it.I have a mind to sue the lot of them for the trauma they have made our family go through. Beware, pet owners!

I just didnt like them . If you are a first time pet owner then stay away from this place. I didnt like the staff or the doctor . All in all it was a very bad experience with them and i wouldnt visit this clinic anytime soon.Fyi, i have seen the employees be rude to the customers so keep that in mind when you go there.

It is defined the place to go if your loved pet has any health issues.....the great thing is that they can be contacted 24/7. However I, or people known to me, have yet to face a situation outside normal working hours and thus cannot comment on the quality of service being rendered at unearthly hours.
