A wonderful place for hangout with an awesome ambience. We ordered chicken reshmi kabab which was just fantastic. This one can fight with some top restaurant in kolkata. We also ordered hyderabadi chicken biriyani and mutton duckbunglow, both were good.

Excellent food,ambience as well as staff behaviois also.The taste of the food was unique and price is reasonable also....highly recommend.we tried their chicken shole kabab,special Hyderabadi chicken biryani chicken patiala and masala cold drinks......food quality and quantity both are good.....the staffs are amazing.....without a second thought try their dishes.....

Price range is quite good/similar compared to other restaurants.Quality of the food, this is the only section for what people curious about the most. For my first experience I would say bad , because I ordered chicken wings and noodles, both gave me great taste, Smokey, spicy , but gave my stomach a bad time !I felt pain in stomach at the way return home. Probably because you cant cook all the time great , it happens. About cooking its not always your fault to deliver good quality. So , for now Im giving 3 stars only. On my next visit Ill try something different ,if the future experience gave me better experience, Ill give this café cum restaurant five stars.

Nice place.. Great ambiance. Few food items are excellent but few were disappointing. Its situated just beside the Adamas University at Barrackpore road. The kebab items are excellent and avoid the Bamboo Biriyani because there is nothing special in it.

This restaurant is located on Barrackpore Barasat Road, near Adamas University. They serve a wide variety of Indian, Chinese, and Tandoor lip-smacking delicacies that you can certainly try while youre near Barasat. The atmosphere was good and the walls are painted with some quotes from famous Bengali writers.The lighting is low, which gives you a calming feeling and can accommodate almost 40 people at once in this place. The staff is courteous and friendly. But, the best part is their food. I tried their bamboo biryani chicken and Hyderabadi biryani chicken.In both the biryanis the chicken pieces were soft that you can cut the chicken with a spoon easily. Especially, the bamboo biriyani is loaded with flavors and yet very balanced. Hyderabadi biryani contains potato and egg like Kolkata biryani so it is no an authentic Hydrabadi biriyani but tastes really good. I also tried their Reshmi kebab which was a bit sweet and it came with a while sugar coating or caramel coating.The most unique dish I tried is the chicken Angara masala with butter naan. The chicken pieces in it were like small pieces of tandoori chicken and the gravy was absolutely amazing. If you are visiting them do try out their chicken Angara masala with butter naan.Overall, the consistency, quantity and taste of the food, the staffs behavior, and the atmosphere really are just fantastic!! Personally, once again, I look forward to visiting the restaurant.

Recently visited Village Cafe Restaurant in Barasat near to Adamas University, loved there ambience, as there name suggest there restaurant theme was totally village based,they mainly used bamboo shafts to give the village texture to their restaurant...Now coming to the foods...In starter we had Chicken Bahari Kebab(199) it was just amazing in taste and texture, coated with egg white fry and the chickens were too soft and juicy ..Then in main course at first we had Butter Nun(40) and Handiwala Methi Murga(244) ...just loved these North Indian dishses...methi murg was soo delicious and unique...gave the proper flavour and taste of actual punjabi methi chicken dishes and the Nun was too soft and tasty..Then we had Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani(190)..loved it too...gave the accurate taste of actual Hyderabad style biryani just loved it...

Its pretty good, pricing is moderate, and the must try of this restaurant is the Hyderabadi biriyani. The drinks(soft drinks with a bit of masala) which are available are awesome. The selection is small but the quality will definitely please you.Now finally to the ambience, from the name, it represents the village, so bamboo is the foundation of the interior design of the restaurant. With dim lighting set ups and some fantastic qoutes and poems from famous Bengali authors makes it a homage to the villages of Bengal.This place wont disappoint you for sure.

Great service nice humbled behavior we received from the attentive stuffs. Food quality is amazing... Too good. Price is quite reasonable & competitive too. It maintains great quality & hygiene of each & every food items. So if they make them wait for 40 mins in the table, dont abuse them rather say thank you... As you be sure they are going to prepare it live & give you a magnificent experience. Ive loved the dab chingri & mutton rogan juice curry. Best lunch I ever had in kolkata. There is no board & place is little remote you may suffer to reach the destination but once you enter the place Im sure youll have a lifetime experience. Only thing I didnt like is the space is bit narrow, a better spacious large seating place was expected at least in such remote place.
