Stayed at the Avenue Regent for almost 2 days, but not quite in August 2021. The Avenue Regent is located on M.G. Road, opposite to Bata showroom and Kairali Handicrafts, close to Jose Junction is a 4-Star Hotel with multiple restaurants, the Springs and the Mezzo Bar, including even a spa within the property.Decided to stay here as I had heard and seen good reviews, besides had also tried their lunch buffet before with my family in the 2000s. Made the initial call and wanted to confirm their Check in and Check out process. Spoke to both, Mr. Bejoy, the Front Office Manager besides Ms. Lakshmi as well. The Check in time was 12:00 P.M. and Check out time was 12:00 P.M. as well, if I amnt mistaken! The hotel wouldnt agree to any adjustments or compromises even if the guest arrived past the supposed Check in time of 12:00 P.M. and in my case, I was only able to check in past 12:00 A.M. or close to 1:30 A.M. on Thursday, since my train from Palakkad only arrived at ErnakulamTown Station around 12:30 A.M. in the wee hours of Thursday. The Hotel still wanted me to book the room from Wednesday onwards online or my mode of booking which I chose in spite of not even being physically present or even have arrived at the hotel on Wednesday as such! This was as per Ms. Lakshmi at the Reception, when I spoke to her as their system wouldnt even allow the guest to make the Booking starting Thursday onwards and would make the full charge from Wednesday itself as per her explanation! She was all business by all means! I was really surprised and quite disappointed even by the initial response or knowing this even before I had even made the booking. It would make sense at least to make some adjustments or charge just the half price or so. It was not at all convincing for myself as a guest!I booked a Deluxe Non-Smoking room with Double beds online which even included breakfast. I got a pretty good deal. The hotels rate was Rs. 3,000.00 per day and probably not even including taxes and other charges. Mr. Bejoy later on called to confirm my arrival time.I could only reach the hotel around 1:20 A.M. on Thursday and was welcomed by Mr. Shaji who was in charge of the Front Desk. He also made sure to help me with my luggage from in front of the M.G. Road entrance and also to my room after completion of the usual Check in formalities. I couldnt help but notice quite a bit of dust at the Reception or worn out upholstery. There were no COVID protocols being observed such as either a temperature check or even seen the presence of any sanitizers anywhere in the lobby. The lobby was also partially dark as well! It didnt surprise me since it was already past midnight.The room seemed to be okay and so was the bathroom. The bed was clean and the room was quite spacious. The furniture looked to have signs of wear and tear or ageing!Two water bottles were provided. There was a tea kettle with Coffee and Tea bags, sugar and creamers provided apart from bathroom slippers. There was a mini fridge, a wardrobe and hangers as well. I wasnt sure whether Mezzo was open? Ordered Room service for lunch and tried Chicken Corn Soup apart from a Vegetarian Pulav which were both good and quite expensive as well! Chicken Biriyani didnt really taste like the usual Kerala Biriyani and tasted different, probably made with different ingredients and was a bit spicy.The only consolation was the morning breakfast dine in buffet at the Springs which was really great. I was even asked and served a freshly made double or triple Omelet made according to my preferences being very less spicy with tomatoes and herbs. There were boiled Nenthra pazham, apart from fresh watermelon juice, Iddlis, Dosas with Coconut Chutney and Sambar, vegetable and Chicken stews, Battooras and Channa curry apart from boiled eggs, if you really preferred. There were also the American breakfast cuisine such as Cereals or even brownies, if I remember correct. The Avenue Regent is a good hotel, but quite expensive as far as room rates besides the food.

This is one of those hotels where hospitality is delivered with passion and perfection . And check out the breakfast .. they really know how make really tasty muffins and banana bread :)

Dinner buffet is good. Have a variety of items. The staff are very polite and provide very good service. They provide a salad section, veg main course, non veg main course with 4 varieties , starters, welcome drink and dessert.There isnt many varieties in dessert but its worth it.

We had an official annual review meet of my organization at Avenue Regent on the 12th and 13th of August. Due to the negligence of hotel staff, my laptop fell and got damaged. I intimated the same to the hotel management and they assured a solution in 24hrs. Meanwhile I talked with dell staff, they estimated a repair cost between 25 and 30k, as the cost of new was a lac. I intimated the same to hotel management which they refused to pay. Guys please avoid this place as no one here would take responsibility for your belongings nor your life.

I visited many hotels,but it was really a bad experience as a customer.today i went there to book a room, and i parked my vehicle at the parking area, one of their staffs Mr vishnu from parking approached me, i told him that i came here for booking a room and i will be there at the reception with in 15 minutes. When i reached their reception and discussing about the rooms with the receptionist, one person Mr Rithu(may be from the security)he came and interfere with my talk i felt that he was rude and really unprofessional for dealing with customers. I think mr vishnu and mr Rithu, need to be trained how to treat their customers in a good manner.

We were organising a marriage fixing function with limited guests of 20 people. Considering different vendors providing catering and great food, we decided to go with Avenue Regent.Considering the corona situation, we decided to get the food picked up and transported to the venue by ourselves. We were not sure how the transport will workout or whether the food will stay warm for the length of 90 minutes travel.The team from Avenue was extremely helpful and had solution for everything . They provided the food in travel ready hotboxes and cool boxes for desserts. Also they had a wide variety of food choices across multiple cuisines. Seafood pie and Mutton Roganjosh were out of the world.I would definitely recommend Avenue Regent for their exceptional quality of food and customer service

They are good but the management should concentrate on training their employees very difficult to communicate , this is quite disappointing considering a good hotel

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THE SATFF AND SECURITY..

Buffet is now being served by very few staffs. We waited hours for the starters, and finally came 4 small pieces of chicken and 4 fish fingers.. for 6 adults and 6 children. The next round was another hour away.. and when I asked one of the staff why it was taking so long.. he came up with another 4 pieces of chicken to make us feel good. Stuck here since 2 hrs now.. and I feel like running away to a small restaurant and get our food...

Yes, this place is know to all in ernakulam. One for the way the staff treats their guests. Other for their food.This place as it all.In Avenue regent there is a place called coco tree which gives really awesome burgers,pastas and the likes. They also have a wide variety of pasteries you can choose from and believe me it is good.They also have another place called Mezzo. The one place you can sit with friends and drink alcohol or just enjoy the music with small eats, which is also really yummy.They also provide rooms with is comfortable and nice.A must visit place. Oh, and during Christmas they decorate the place really nicely. A visual treat.

I came here to attend a function. This place is well maintained and adheres to all covid protocols. Their hall arrangement and decor is commentable as it was really impressive and beautifulLocated in the heart of MG road, it is definitely a hassle to get here because of the never ending traffic. The food was really nice esp their desserts. Rhe staff and the overall service is great. There is no parking space available in front of the place however there is sufficient space in the parking lot behind the hotel. Valet is available here.

Christmas dinne was out of the world with wonderful amvience and live music

I was here to attend a function. I reached the hotel a little early and they offered valet parking. It was so convenient. The function was on the 7 th floor and the room was well arranged before the function. The sound system and arrangements were excellent. The food was tasty too. Usually for me after taking food from outside, if they add taste enhancers, there will be drying of mouth. Today I didn’t get the problem . Food was tasty. The service was good. I saw the attendant getting food and water for an old lady who was finding it difficult to take a buffet. I also saw him serving water as everyone was having food. I am extremely happy about the service and quality of food. Excellent place.

One of the best and oldest hotel in cochin is located near south railway station. It is walkable distance from the Ernakulam south railway station if you have only backpack. In less than ten minutes you can reach metro station. its not difficult to get any mode of transport.Being the festive season of winter and Christmas , the front area is decorated with x mas tree and reindeers to welcome the Santa. Avenue regent has a display board regarding the special buffet dinner and lunch on the Christmas eve and the occasion respectively.The check in process was smooth and short. The room was spacious and had free WiFi facility. While booking a room you get a choice to opt with or without breakfast. Since we preferred the latter, we experienced their wide range of menu in the breakfast buffet like, Oats, croissant, veg sandwiches, non veg sandwich, wheat bread, white bread, cut fruits, fruit salad, poori, masala, boiled egg, appam, chicken stew, vanilla shake, strawberry shake, cucumber juice, watermelon juice, hot milk, cold milk,tea, coffee, vada, white chutney, green chutney, tomato chutney, red chutney. Its a combined form of healthy breakfast and even if you dont stay in Avenue regent you may go with family and have their buffet breakfast once in a while.we are not satisfied With regards to the amenities available since they dont have a swimming pool or gym. Every morning they will provide one English daily but that doesnt worth the money we pay for one night stay.The avenue regent has a night bar open till 1030pm. Its a fully active place irrespective of age and gender. Its a best hangout place for friends and colleagues but costly for a shot.

Avenue Regent, a four star hotel, situated on MG Road, Ernakulam, is a classy dining option in Kochi. Nearest metro station is Maharajs college. The buffet spreads for lunch and dinner very good. Very very overrated. Went for my birthday with my family. The food was the worst I have had in recent times. 4 Star seriously? Most of the buffet was cold , mediocre no flavour at all.. Maggi at home would have been a better choice. Spent 5K outcome... disappointment... horrible food...Alcarte could be good but I dont have any hope based on my experience with the buffet.....They should pay me for going through such an experience...done.

Business Hotel Ernakulam

This place holds special importance to us. It was the venue of our date. Awesome food. I have had their quasidella, salad, burger, sandwich, malt shake, blueberry cheese cake, chicken and mushroom, pasta--well suffice to say that they maintain a consistent service and food quality. There are two restaurants - one with a bar and the other without. Must try

The hotel staff were very curtious and helpful on offering early check in. Also the room was neat and I was upgraded and provided a better room. They provide a good breakfast spread which is quiet comprehensive. Overall experience was excellent and would like to visit once again

Was there for a BAs meet with SP Xpress logistics. It was a superb experience there. The interiors and exterior both made it a cool weather. Thanks for the delicious food.

Good ambience and nice menu. But if you are a coffee fan, you may get disappointed. The menu might say that they use 100% arabica, but thats not the case in reality. Its high time they use some good beans for their coffee.

Nice hotel with beautiful rooms, bar, dining area and restaurant. I have never stayed there but have been to their restaurant many a times. Every time me and my wife go there, we have really enjoy the food and service of their restaurant which serves, à la carte as well as buffet. Their menu has variety, Chinese, maxican as well as authentic south india dishes. My favourite is their Sea Seafood, which prominently includes crabs, lobster, fish and shellfish. They also serve wine and Beer in the restaurant so you can enjoy your drink with your favourite dish. The hotel has ample parking space along with valet parking and it is really easy to reach Avenue Regent as it on the main MG road of kochi.

Very well maintained and efficiently managed hotel. It houses a quality coffee shop Cocoa Tree, a decent restaurant Springs and a well stocked bar Mezzo. Parking space available at the rear of the hotel is well managed and adequate. The hotel is centrally located in one of the busiest portions of MG Road, and is easily accessible. The staff is well trained and professionally groomed for their respective jobs. Overall, a great place to stay in kochi.

I was not a fan of big hotels until I wanted to go to a noisy pub . This hotel has a beautiful pub with some wonderful service and offers wine and drinks at a reasonable price. The place was bustling and so you don’t feel like one lone mystical drinker and yet everyone is brimming with excitement. Such was the ambience in the heart of the town. My eyes popped out to see girls and boys sitting comfortably talking over a drink. Mezzos.... you have managed to kick the bucket of gender bias in pubs in Kerala ... kicked finally!!!??
