Beautiful place.. One of the most best views you would ever get.. A must visit place in Dalhousie

The peace which I got here is indefinite, non explainable.Here you can experience mother nature face to face.You will come to know what really nature is.We have to keep safe this nature not due to natures need but its our need to keep it safe.Here I feel not to left this place ever. Beauty of this place cannot be defined in words. The peace you get here is unmatched. You can enjoy boating if you want to, otherwise you can sit around the lake and enjoy the view. Surrounded by beautiful hills and trees, this place give feels of some other world specially in cloudy weather. Just avoid visiting here in monsoon.

Located in chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, it is a very nice tourist destination, surrounded by the trees of devdar, and located in the middle of lush green grass field, gives it the very beautiful and eye pleasing look. Very soul soothing destination to visit.

This place is Swetizerland of India. Beautiful green ground with a small lake. There are a small white private cabin. This place look like European place. Come and enjoy the beauty of this place. Feel the nature here...

I went there during summer season(Mid May) so I would be best to give review about only that time period. This place is worth visiting, you will have a park in the center of the hills which is wider than you can imagine. Moreover, adventure activities like horse riding, paragliding and trekking adds on to the enjoyment. Weather is also very nice if you compare it to other places. Sun will show up and after some time, cool and pleasant clouds will be seen. This cycle of weather keeps on repeating. Food courts are also available and local vendors are also engaged here in providing local food. Overall speaking, You should try this place in April-August time according to me if youre planning to go hilly terrain.

Beauty at its best .I’m the central part of the beautiful Khajjar Spot .The lake is superbly Covered with all the things around .Activities and all are their in the lake .Reconstruction work is Going on now .But it’s really beautiful must must must visit

This place is heaven... i visited today after 14 years. Nothing has changed only the grasslands have more animal waste because of increased horse riding. Nevertheless this place will never disappoint you. Did paragliding... it was a great experience overall.

I think if somone doesnt cover Khajjair while coming to Dalhousie, the trip isnt worth at all. This is the main tourist spot. Khajjair lake being very small part of it. The view is amazing. No doubt its called the mini Switzerland of India. Covered by tall pine tress on all sides. The place is beautiful.

Very beautiful. Entire lake is covered with fresh snow. Visited last week of Dec. No rush if you reach early. Children will love it. Various activities can also be done like tube ride, paragliding, horse ride. Photographers always ready to take memorable pics. 2-3 hours can be spend easily. Hotels were also there if you wanted to stay. Overall very good experience.

Really very amazing place. One should must visit here. It’s beauty increases manifold after snow. During my visit entire lake was covered with snow except pond area. Snow hanging on trees were falling.

This circular lake is thought to be the result of a gigantic meteorite strike here millions of years ago... Its amazing for the beautiful small carp fish which are here in huge numbers ! the beautiful dragonflies and birds who feed here in the rushes are absolutely beautiful and in so many species and colours ! This lake is extraordinary and in a breathtakingly beautiful place on Earth !

Desclaimer : my opinions are based on my lifestyle still some people may not believe it to be true but still I have visited better places than this .It was not that good, I mean it overrated. It doesnt mean it is not good ,It was fantastic but it was not upto my expectations (It comes with title of mini Switzerland).Pros: in the middle of a wildlife sanctuary.Bounded by thik deodar forest.Cons: too much of human movement .I mean it is good to have some people around u but sometimes when theres too much of them we cant enjoy the beauty and silence of nature.Lake was also not that good

Unfortunately although this lake is just in the center of Khajiar landscape but not well maintained. At least HP tourism must plant ornamental flowers and plants.

Beauty at its peak . They call it mini Switzerland ..... indeed true .Valleys , lakes , weather.... you bet its HEAVEN.On the other hand, being such an amazing tourist destination.... there are few sources that needs to be updated.Lack of ATM !! - very importantLack of medical requirment , pharmacy, doctor at call . Knowing the situation of the country today , it is one of the most important requirements all over .

Its called Mini Switzerland. The most marvelous picnic spot I have seen in my life. Surrounded by high green mountains and in between theres a lake.. So mesmerizing

Great picnic spot near Dalhousie. It is about 22kms away form Dalhousie. Peaceful place to chill with family and friends.We also did Paragliding, and the view from the top is amazing.Horse riding can also be done which covers whole area of Khajjiyar lake.Do visit to see the beauty of Nature!

Located inside Khajjiar park thia lake is set in a huge grassy landscape, with evergreen cedar trees surrounding it from all sides. The lake takes its name from Khajji Nag, the deity in the temple nearby. The lake has considerably shrunk over the years and is now almost on the verge of vanishing.

Its a nice place for a little family excursion. The place is known as Mini Switzerland after Swiss Envoy Willy P. blazers visit to the place in 1992. There are only 160 locations including Khajjiar in the world that bear topographical resemblance with Switzerland.

Must visit the place mesmerizing view all around camping and adventure activities provided by Dhaulapiradventures ( adventure group name) very polite and calm behaviour off staff and very tasty simple food provided if you going to stay at night for camping, very peaceful in night you will enjoy your night with camp fire🔥.

Not much for a lake. The scenery around is definitely worth spending time here

5 star for a reason. Once you visit this place theres no way you can give less review. Lake is quite small but ground is so so big. One small issue is there are lot of people. Theres paragliding too. Only road can issue. If road is under maintenance or something there will be 1-1.5 Km long traffic can be done. Take some food with you for a road. One Tip for you: Take 5₹ coin with you. As there is pay and use toilet only.

Beautiful place, must visit if in Dalhousie or Chamba (an hours drive from both places). Himachal tourism has hotel and rest house available for overnight stay. Usual tourist activities - horse back riding, zorbing, paragliding (will have to travel to nearby location) or take a walk around the complex. Theres a Shiva statue too nearby. Restaurants and liquor store at location. Please do not litter and keep the environment clean.

Known as mini Switzerland it is a scenic location with lush green outfields surrounded by tress all around. We have visited in winter so lake was frozen but the beauty of the place was but just breathtaking. Horse riding was available there and paragliding is also available which is quiet an awesome experience. It is a must visit place when you are travelling around Himachal Pradesh.

Since it is winter, water is very less in the lake. It is in the midst of the open ground areas Khajjiar, a beautiful location. Horse riding is quite common here. There are pani poori stalls in the area.

Its like a big ground, in the middle there is a lake. If you are lucky you can get the view of full snow there during January end or February. View is really nice if the ground is covered with snow.

Good place to visit but roads are closed during heavy snowfall in winter. One can enjoy greenery in the month of May June

Awesome place surrounded by woods. One can enjoy activities here at very low cost. Lake is not clean thats the reason behind its color turned into black. Extra snow can be the reason of roads blocking in the month of January.

Have you ever been to Switzerland? Well, this place makes you feel you’re in Mini Switzerland! This place is actually non existent but the Greenery lures you towards it while in Winter Snow grabs your attention! Architecture is just mesmerising. Don’t forget to visit Khajjiar Lake although.

The place was nice. A good expereince with horse riding. They let you ride alone. But the lake was dried up. I guess we have to go in the right season to see the real beauty of this place.

Its called Switzerland of Himachal Pradesh for a reason. The nature at its best. The scenic beauty of Khajjiar Lake and its vicinity is absolutely breathtaking and beautiful. You could spend hours looking at the mother nature. There are some activities made available by locals for kids. The food available at the restaurant are average and better avoided. Happy vacations.

Khair Lake is located at 2008 metre height from sea level, beautiful place, flat ground surrounded by pine trees, also called mini Switzerland of India. Good accommodation available nearby. Place is known from Black bear and leopard to stroll in the night.

Romantic Place !Romance was in the air !It is also known as a Switzerland of out India Just visit and sit here for a while. You can actually enjoy the lap of nature . The greenery , the clouds , the pond though small , the horses , the paragliders , the couples in love and enjoying the sunshine. It is a paradise .You can do horse riding , paragliding or just walk. Everything is good. You can have something to eat here as well from the restaurants.

Very calm place..

Usually place is very crowded .yeah this place deserved visit in winter season and you go there in summer too but view is not as good as in winters but if someone wanted to do paragliding and zorbing then you can visit in summers

One of the most beautiful Greenlands ..known as the Mini Switzerland.. Horses are around with the horsemen for the rides.. also you get to wear himachal style dressing and photographers..with cute Rabbits along...

Well said, its mini Switzerland. Awesome place. We visited in the month of March. Around 25 km from Dalhousie. One of the best photogenic place. One restaurant nearby. Paragliding and Zorbing activities were available. Overall very good experience.

Beutiful place, well maintained. Himachal tourism stay is peaceful and food is too good.

The place is known as mini Switzerland, and really it stands by its reference. Although theres not much to see over here except some adventurous activities are being done here like paragliding. I took paragliding which costed me around Rs. 2800 for two. Please negotiate before you book because theyd ask you for a very high price, as they asked me for 4k bucks. They will take you on the bottom of another hill, there youll have to trek to the top.

It is a good place to with your family for weekend. But you cannot spend more than a day there. You will have to move next as there is not much to look for except the lake and the temple. Para gliding is also an option here but it depends on the weather conditions. You can visit nearby places like dalhousie, kalatop and chamba next day.

Mini Switzerland in India! Serene and pristine. Though its crowded in the morning, it gets less crowded towards afternoon. Its always a good idea to spend a night in Khajjiar instead of Dalhousie. A lot more quiet.

This place was great and apparently its been established as Switzerland of Himachal. The scenery was amazing, but they are not paying enough attention to the lake itself. The khajjiar is surrounded with amazing views and it has a good food culture. Spent some time here and for new people there are many photography options.

It is the biggest ground and a lake in between with beautiful surrounding mountains , clouds. Paragliding , baloon games , a small adventures for kids

A big lake with park around it. The approach road is narrow from dalhousie as well as chamba. Parking space is limited. Paragliding can be done here. You and sit and relax at the pond. You can also feed fishes in pond. You can spend hours on this lush green ground. There are various activities. Horse riding can be done outside the ground. There are several hotels around the ground where you can enjoy food. There are no washrooms here. Beware of vendors selling medicines in the ground. Request everyone to keep the ground clean of plastics and garbage.

The photos might be deceiving. Though its a good place to visit, its a little underwhelming then expected. The lakes pretty dried up and dirty.

This place is not open right now as some maintenance work going on at the moment...you can enjoy rest of the khajjiars beauty

Its an amazing place. So much greenary over there. Here you can click a photo with a rabbit or bird. I just love this place.

Beautiful place!! Just like swiss landscape surrounded by lush green mountains. It is a peaceful place and I would recommend to stay there for a day at least just to feel the place. There are few activities offered like paragliding (that I wont recommend) horse riding etc. A few nearby places are there, that you may visit and pass the day and then you may visit Dulhousie
