Its an eight hundred (800) year old temple, beautifully made of wood from inside.Khajjiar gets its name from this temple. Adjacent to it is a small temple of Lord Shiva.Outer beauty of Khajji Naag temple is outshined by the restaurants and hotels built around it.

A big ground with a lake in the center. There are fishes in the lake. There are restaurants around the ground. It is always packed with people. Activities like horse riding, paragliding, etc happen. You can find lot of local vendors in the park. There is hptdc hotel located at one end. There is limited parking space near the ground. You can spend your whole day here. Local police assistance is available here. You can get local taxi to dalhousie and chamba from here.

Good place to visit. Especially when one is to visit mini Switzerland Khajjiar, then this is in the same place. Definitely worth visiting.

They say there is a naag devta who resides there. And has been residing from so many years. I so wanted to see that naag devta. But couldnt. There was also a lake sort of made in the name of the same naagdevta.The lake consisted of fishes which hell lot in number. Those looked great.

Apologies as I havent visited khajji nag temple but Khajjiar is awesome place to visit. Its a plane field covered with lush green pine forest with a lake at the centre. You can do horse riding, paragliding from here and many more activities. The real beauty is about this field which is surrounded by mountains. Also the drive between dalhausi and khajjiar is way awesome. You can take taxi or take Bus from Dalhausi to khajjiar which cost only 40 rs and 40 min awesome ride.

Situated near to Khajjiar lake, this ancient temple is having wooden carvings on ceilings and posts. It is said that Khajjiar is based because of this temple only. Along with snake idols, one can see images of Pandavas and Kauravas inside.There is also lord Shiva snd Hadimba temple inside.

The nature is really beautiful but we humans are just killing it. This place needs to be taken care of instead it is full of garbage, plastic and the lake has dirty water with full of fish. I urge to who all visit here please keep our environment clean.You will find local food shaks , vendors. Horse riding (which is actually just few rounds of the place on horse), paragliding are here too but I think k these are not worth trying. Just admire the beauty of the nature and contribute in saving it

It should be Khajjiar, famous not for the temple but for the rare lush geen plain right in the middle of woods almost reaching skies. Best place for honeymooning. Best place for photographs of a life time memories.

This temple is located in khajjiar, himachal pradesh. It is very old temple. It is completely made by wood. So personally I would suggest you to go once in your life. If I say about my personal experience than I would say it is very peaceful. And very beautiful temple and just at the front of mini switzerland.

Dont know about others but as a local whenever i go the this temple i feel a calmness and metal peace.Its an old temple and as my grand parents told me it is the temple of Khajji naag build by pandaws it has status of them around the temple the main status of Raja Khajji naag ji is made up of rocks in front of the main temple there is another temple of mata hidimba devi..And at the entrance of khajjiar ground there is temple of Ghatotchkach or know as bhanbaba by locals as their guardian

Khajjiar - the mini Switzerland of India has the best view when its covered in white sheets with the dark green trees in the background. If you are headed to Dalhousie, you should definitely visit this place. It has less of hotels for stay but you can stay in Dalhousie and then visit Khajjiar which is a 2 hour journey.

The Chamunda Devi Temple is one of the most frequented worship centres in the region, dedicated to Chamunda Devi, a manifestation of Goddess Durga who killed demons like Chanda and Munda, according to Hindu mythology. The shrine was built by Raja Umed Singh in 1762.The attractions of the shrine are animal and floral motifs carved on the ceiling. Some of the other highlights of the shrine are the wooden construction and gabled roof of slates. Besides, the temple also features a ‘mandap’ and an agni-kund (fire pit). The mandapa exhibits human figures on the pillars and brackets carved in panelled ceiling of wood. The ‘mandap’ entrance features a votive bell, which has a Nagari inscription.From the temple, beautiful views of the Chamba valley and widespread Himalayan range are available. Located atop the Shah Madar hills, opposite to the township, the temple can be accessed by 378 steps. Visitors can also reach the temple by a 3 km motorable road from the city centre
