A very large grassy ground to relax, not in June because you will feel hot in summer, there are sky diving, horse riding available here. There is not quality restaurant here, there is also a small lake with lots of fishes. Being no proper take care and maintenance of lake water quantity going less so the dishes are dying.

Khajjiar Park (23 kms from Dalhousie, at the hight of 6400 feet) is a crater formed by the impact of a saucher-shaped Asteroid, which came down from the east. This place is called Mini Switzerland because of its topographical resemblance with Switzerland. A Khaji Naga Shrine is situated beside the Khajjiar lake. You can view the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas from Khajjiar Park, if you get the clear sky.

Khajjiar Park located in Khajjiar Village Chamba Himachal Pradesh India.and is well connected to Chamba and Dalhousie and can be easily reached via Khajjiar Park very beautiful and amazing many tourist attraction lake, temple and adventures.

It really looks like Switzerland but the mantainance here is not as it should be. Specially when its rainy season, the adventure activities stops. We went for paragliding but unfortunately due to bad weather assumptions they said they can’t provide us the service. Also there is very bad service for local transportation. If you crosses 3pm there, then u are almost stuck. Try to be well on time so that u could leave early. The food is just satisfying.

The park is a large and open land covered with grass and surrounded by hills and forests. The park has a small pond at the centre. There are a few fun activities like giant bubble ride and rabbits for clicking pics with them. There are some dhabas where they serve tea, coffee, pakoras and Chinese. Its a peaceful place for relaxation and gets chilly as soon as the sun sets.

A worth place visiting near Dalhousie. This is a park surrounded by deodar trees. This place have food scenic view and worth visiting. Spent 2 hours here and then move to Dainkund which is a small trek to Dainkund peak. Moving 900m further, there is Pohlani temple, where you can get a glimpse of Manimahesh Kailash trek.

Dalhousie trip is incomplete without visiting Khajjiar. It is a small hill station just 26 km away from Dalhousie. This place is  famous for a Khajjar and Chamera lake surrounded by beautiful mountains covered with dense cedar forest.

Great place to spend 1/2 hrs in the midst of nature . Lush green valley surrounded by dark green forest with a lake at the middle ( though the lake is not well maintained ) . Some hotels and restaurants are there to stay and have food though the price is high . Paragliding and horse riding is also available at a price .

Really nice scenic view around park and lake with lots of devadar trees around all directions. The cool weather even in summer season will feel you very refreshing. Winters are very chilly over there. There are few refreshment shops having some mouth watering snacks and games for fun and enjoyment. Overall a good place to visit with family and kids. You need a complete day to visit Khanjar park and lake.

It’s like totally over hyped and exaggerated typical tourist spot with Horses and Bhaiyas following you practically everywhere. One may like it only as a typical sightseeing tourist. I will suggest spend more time at Dainkund Peak, explore more here the encore the lake in the middle stinks !!!! So you can cover the location but it’s not that amazing. Though its been touted as mini Switzerland, its not. I mean there is nothing different here.

Khajjiar Lake is one of the eye-catching lakes in Dalhousie, Himachal. People must visit this lake for its recreational activities and amazing sights.

The place is really beautiful..but the road between Dalhousie and khajjiar is very poor...

Please dont get befooled by its title Switzerland of India. This title, however, was given by Swiss Foreign Minister himself, but in 1992. Since then the places beauty has only detiriorated. This place is the worst and the dirtiest Ive ever been to in the mountains of India. Since the start of horse riding the conditions have become worse, youll find horse dung littered everywhere. Moreover youll find it really difficult to reach as the road ia way too narrow to hold two side traffic, itll take you really long before you reach there as the crowd is too much for the road to handle. It was my experience, going or not is your choice after all!

Khajjiar park is very good. It is a family tourist place . There are so many hotels where you can stay and the scenrie is very beautiful.There are so many animals which you can see e.g rabbit,bear etc. There you can enjoy so many games. Moreover you can sit there for wholeday without any restrictions. I suggest you to go in the month of may and june.Hope you will get benefit from this.thanks
