Good stay but its out of the town. Tarrif seems reasonable when you book. If you want to have dinner there you have to pay almost double of the tarrif you booked. Very expensive dinner we have taken in such a home stay.

The place is very well done, good comfortable spacious rooms, well decorated. The first evening was good chicken sandwich with lots of fries, a welcoming staff and owner. The owner told me the charges were for the night stay and breakfast. The next morning about 8.30 am, hungry, I was looking forward to a breakfast buffet as I had found in all hotels in Rajasthan in my one weeks travel. There was no one in the dining area. No one in the kitchen and no one in the reception. After some banging one person came and had a blank look on his face. He looked at me and asked you want breakfast? Then he called someone else and the other person asked what do you want to eat. I was shocked I asked him why was there no buffet and he made all sorts of excuses. Anyway after half hour I got a fairly decent poha and thick potato parathas with no potatoes and no madalas in it. When I complained, there were more excuses. The owner was nowhere to be seen. That night to be safe on the safe side I ordered chicken sandwich again. There was no chicken, it was an egg sandwich with half fries. When I complained the next morning and he said too bad I could not see the chicken but it was there. 😂 I was unfortunately there for 3 nights and the third morning I stuffed the potatoe parathas which had potatoes in it but were swimming in oil. I was driving to Jaipur so didnt want to make another stop. Where was the owner, I have no idea.Besides this sad experience Rajasthan is hospitable, safe, friendly and yummy food.

Me and my husband cannot recommend this place highly enough!!!From organising our transports, to meeting our diet restrictions and any extra experiences you can possibly think of, the owner and his staff literally went out of their way to accommodate every single one of our request!Chetan truly is an incredible host, and the heart he puts into his hotel is felt from the moment you step inside...From gorgeous rooms to spacious spaces, invaluable peace (the hotel is located just outside the city) and an absolutely exquisite roof terrace with garden, jacuzzi and wonderful view, to the outstanding soulful service provided by his staff! Absolutely magical!!!Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to have made our trip even more beautiful!Cli & Avi x

I m very disappointed about this place! It dosnt deserve all that wow reviews!First of all the place is located in the protected VIP region and stands next to the building which is under construction. It means that you wont sleep and breath a fresh air. Also you dont have privacy because workers there always look at you. When I say next I mean 2-3 meters between the building. The room is big and good decorated. But if you look deeper you see bad quality. Everything looks cheap and dirty. Pillows and sofa are black, they dont wash them. Totally uncomfortable. They definitely have a problem with electricity. We had a strange sound from the soundbar every 15 minutes (it was turned off).Jacuzzi on the rooftop is cold, so if you want to relax there in the end of the day you gonna freeze.Breakfast is super limited! Cant even drink coffee because of the taste. Plates, cups and everything is dirty. I think they dont know what is a dish soap.Staff there cant speak English just very basic words. It s very hard to get what you want. Please if you wanna choose this place think twice!

Beautiful is the word..this place is so very ethnic, chic , calm and peaceful. Its like your own private bungalow. Theme rooms are so spacious and well made and furnished. Huge toilets...spacious balconies...private garden and a huge terrace. Makes you feel at home, lavishly. The location asks for a car or a Pvt vehicle..thats it !

We enjoyed our stay at the Almond Tree! The location of the hotel is great. The staff has been accommodating our requests. The interior of the hotel is very nice. The rooms are exceptionally clean. We had a wonderful dinner on the terrace amongst dozens of flowers and great views on the Umaid Bhawan palace. When visiting Jodhpur we will for sure return to the Almond tree!

My partner booked this place as she read good reviews online. Personally I found the place rather soulless. It is on a new housing complex in a gated community and as such it is extremely quiet with empty streets. The rooms are nice, very big and modern. The bed was comfortable and the neighbourhood silent so we did have a good nights sleep away from the pandemonium of the city. The rooftop is beautifully done and with good views of the palace. We would have liked to use the jacuzzi however the owner told us it was cold because it was winter (thought the idea of a jacuzzi was that it is heated?).My partner said she read good reviews regarding the breakfast. However we both found the coffee to be completely unpalatable on both days we tried it. The eggs were okay on the first day, the second day I tried porridge which was essentially a soupy bowl of milk with a few oats in it. Other options such as juice and cereal were basic.I wish we’d stayed in the town at the original place we’d booked. My fiancé said she was glad of the good nights sleep and the peace and quiet. We both however felt it was poor value for money in comparison to other places we have stayed.

This homestay is a great choice for people looking for a calm and luxurious place outside of the busy city of Jodhpur. Mehga, Chetan and their staff offer a very homely and fully personalised experience to their guests. The home-cooked food we had here is the best we tasted in our trip, and the roof top terrace offers an exceptional view on Umaid Bhawan Palace. The rooms are spacious and very confortable and clean. Thanks to all the Almond Tree team for this great moment !

Located inside a well maintained colony called Ummed Heritage next to Ummed Bhawan Palace,A bungalow has been converted into hotel. One doesnot come know where to enter from into hotel no signage for reception. No one to guide.Poor hospitality. Owner is arrogant. Smell of food in lobby. Poor welcome. You dont even come to know that you are out side Hotel as very small paper as signage. Main entrance gate is shabby. Bed sheets were wrinkled. Main Balcony was locked and dirty.Carpets were dirty. Dining Hall was poorly kept. Breakfast was modest.I had paid half as advance and requested for the refund of same due to poor welcome bad smell in lobby. The staff connected me to owner on whom I found arrogant and rude.Staff is polite but not professional. Gave turbid water to drink. Charge 4900 For one day . Not worth. Would not recommend to anyone. . Even hot water was not available. Very poor value for Money

Me and my girlfriend stayed in the Deluxe Suite for 3 nights. The room itself was magnificent! Upon being shown our room, I struggled to refrain from gasping like a shocked child in front of the owners. Haha. The room was modern and spacious. The furniture and bed were comfortable. And the bathroom was fit for a king and his queen.Amenities such as the TV, wifi, air conditioning and bathroom products were of a perfect standard.Breakfast is served up until 10:30am. The buffet selection of cereals, fruits, juice, breads and preserves was more than enough choice. Not to mention you have the choice to order eggs (cooked to your choice). The Almond Tree boasts a very affordable lunch/dinner menu throughout the day. Pasta dishes for 200r I can highly recommended. Thats not all. You can also have the opportunity of a home style cooked Indian meal situated on the rooftop Terrance during sunset overlooking the palace. Prices range from 500 (vegetarian dish) to 750 to 1000. We chosen the vegetarian menu each, which consisted of: Jeera rice, paneer butter masala, dal, aloo gobi, chapati and choice of drink. Trust me when I tell you the serving is plenty, not to mention delicious! I couldnt stop eating! The staff were super welcoming and friendly. They made sure everything was just the way we liked it. On our last day we left the hotel at 5:30am, and the staff were gracious enough to provide us with a packed breakfast, which was a surprise to us in the morning. As for the location, Almond Tree is located in a gated community next to the Umaid Bhawan Palace. The hotel can be hard to find, but the security at the gates should be able to give your driver directions. We paid 150r for a Tuk tuk from the train station. Tuk tuks can also be ordered from the hotel to the tourist hotspots for 150rMegah & Chetan were perfect hosts. We would recommend this establishment to all travellers: solo, couples and families. One of the best places Ive ever had the pleasure of staying at!
