The customer service was absolutely disgusting. Had to wait 10 minutes for someone to finally tale payment for my to go order. Said they won’t serve me without a mask. I said gove me a mask I will wear it. Then told to leave the store. Sent my partner in with her mask still had to wait another 10 minutes while other customers coming in after her were served first. Mandates are not law. If you wish for costumers to wear masks then you should provide them.

Took my dad here for Father’s Day and he really liked it. The food was delicious. We had never been to a hibachi restaurant before, so this was a great first experience. My family and I all jumped out of our seats when the chef fired up the grill. It was a big burst of fire we were not expecting lol. Also, our chef was funny and very friendly. We’ll definitely be back.

The picture makes it look well lit inside. It isnt at all....after your eyes adjust from being outside youll see okay. Turn the lights up will ya? The place was dated and it showed. Bathroom was clean which was a plus to me. There was 13 to 15 people in our group and the servers were on it. Good job! The chefs did a great job cooking and entertaining! The onion soup served on the side as well as the salad were awful. The salad was merely iceberg lettuce with dressing on it and the onion soup tasted like warm bath water with two slivers of mushrooms in it. The main course was excellent and well cooked. This could be a real money maker if changes and updates were made.

They have a nice $5 chicken fried rice lunch special.

Older hibachi place that could use a facelift big time. There is no sushi and the menu is extremely small for a Hibachi restaurant.But even with the limited menu and not so beautiful Facility the food was good, typical large volumes of food. And the sauces were delicious as well. The staff was helpful and friendly.I have a few pictures, the take out box was what ws left after i ate my fill of chicken Hibachi.The restrooms could have used a deep cleaning as well.

Was there yesterday for a Birthday dinner. Wed went to/called a few places that simply couldnt accommodate the number of people in our group.The staff was amazing....... The hostess was very informative and worked with us in. The server Don was full of awesomeness. It takes a lot of patience to work everyones special requests in. He was extraordinary!!The cook was hilarious. Had the hottest and biggest fire Ive seen to date. The kids got a kick out of it!!Will go back!

We love the lunch special. Soup, salad and chicken fried rice. Its $5 and delicious!!

This is always the best place, always stuck to be seated did prep is fast. Just an all around fun atmosphere. The best server is Amber. I dont have a best cook. They are all good

Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Our waitress was on her first night as a waitress but you would never have known it. She was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. Chef was very entertaining and the food was top notch. If we are ever back in town we will most definitely be coming back.

Very expensive even with a Groupon. That being said it wasnt a bad experience I have had more entertaining chefs though. Its kind of luck of the draw, Ive been here multiple times and some are just better than others but the food was great.

The Chef and our server were the only good experiences at this restaurant. We went to enjoy a lovely meal for my sons birthday and it was so hot in this place I almost took my food outside and sat in the car to eat it. While our server was very friendly, I observed the other servers speaking extremely nasty to the other tables. I just don’t understand why a place of business with at least 8 blazing hot grills thinks it’s a good idea to not have air conditioning. It had to be over 100 degrees in there. Our family had to keep getting up and going outside to cool off and it was 88 degrees outside. The only form of coolness was the fan blow at the hostess stand. My 5 year old nephew kept screaming “Turn on the A/C” and normally I would have corrected him for this but I was very much in agreement with him so I just let him do it. We will definitely not be back I will gladly pay the extra money to go to Benihana.

I had a wonderful experience dining here while on my vacation from California. We were seated quickly and everyone was so friendly, welcoming and professional including the host, server and chef. The food was amazing, fresh and very tasty. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a restaurant with delicious food and a great atmosphere.

The experience was awesome the service beyond compare. It was entertaining to watch true artistry in the works. I loved the mushroom soup. And the teriyaki chicken. Not only that you get a feel of a Asian food with great appreciation of oriental ancestry.

This is the worst steakhouse you could ever go to. Very run down Inside and out. The cook had no experience he said hes been doing it 3 months that could definitely show in the meal he prepared.. Everything was so soaked and soy sauce it was not very good at all there was a waste of a filet & shrimp.

We have been fans of Fujiyama for years, and have always had such a great experience, however, the past 2 times we have been there it has been so unbearably hot that I almost passed out. The first time we thought they were just having trouble with the AC, but when it happened the second time, and several other guests got up and left before eating I was taken aback. Something needs to be done before a patron or worker passes out from the heat. Our waiters and waitresses were amazing, but they were dying of heat also. I shouldnt have to shower after going out to eat because my clothes were soaked with sweat. VERY DISSAPOINTED -- FIX THE AC.

I started coming here 30 years ago. It was the best Japanese Steakhouse I have ever been to. I always compared other Japanese restaurants to Fujiyamas and they never came close to being as good! Over the years, this restaurant has gone down. They used to have another great sauce besides the ginger sauce. I forget what it was but now its yum-yum sauce which wasnt great. No more hot washcloths to clean your hands. No more chefs who perform tricks. The dining experience is no longer fun and exciting! The food is no longer great. My kids had the steak. They both said their steaks had a lot of fat. The waiter was excellent which is why I gave 2 stars. Took my kids there last night to share my favorite Japanese Steakhouse with them We were ALL on the toilet afterwards! I had to stop and find a place for my son to use a bathroom on our way home from eating there! We live an hour away.

I got a really good Groupon deal for this place. Unfortunately, there was a hair in my soup, and they using their hands to handle the foods. Lastly, everything was drenched in the sauce they used to grill and all I could taste was that.

The cook was nice but the service and cleanliness of the restaurant was not so enjoyable. The bathroom was dirt and sticky. The hostess carried on a conversation for about five minutes with her back turned to us when we came in. When we finally were placed in front of a grill it was caked up with greece and crud. I had to request twice to have the grill prepared. The yum yum sauce taste like mac sauce an the waitress tried to keep my change even though I asked for my change back. I had to finally go find her and ask for my change. I still tipped her because it is her job however she was not friendly. I will definitely not be back.

Ive been coming here for over 20yrs. Got a last minute invite for a friends 40th bday. Right away I noticed the front wall was knocked over with no tape around it. Upon entering a girl no more than 13 was sitting at the hostess desk and didnt seem to know anything about it. When we were seated in a basically empty restaurant I asked if the 12 of us could be spread out since no one was there. The adult host said nope cant do it. Eventually after some persistent persuasion she agreed. The service was very slow and her attitude about spreading people out was terrible. I doubt this place which I once enjoyed will be around much longer.

If youre looking at groupon to buy a dinner for this place dont waste your time if youre looking just to go there for a nice dinner dont waste your time period very old outdated building as soon as you pull on a parking lot you can see youre in skid row.. Once you get inside you can see the 30 years ago it might have been a nice place but theyve never put a single penny into upkeeping the building. Once they seed you in the pharmaceuticals rolled up off the tables in the tables and the grills are dirty It is not appealing to why I eat dinner there are there. Then youthen you think youre gonna get that Japanese steakhouse experience and you find out that the guy working there is not a cook.Our cook has been there for 3 months no skills and dont know how to cook. We had to fly and shrimp and it was so soaked in soy sauce the its toss that it was not enjoyable.. Dont Tell him how you like your state cooked because it dont matter he will flood it in massive amounts of soy sauce and cook until its well done even though you ask for medium. The worst place Ive ever ate that coffee still with the groupon coupon $48. If you want to destroy shrimp And the filet this is your place I wouldnt recommend this till my worst enemy

Do not trust the website. We looked and it said dinner started at 4pm. So we arrived at 4:20pm and the sign on the door says that “as of November 2020 the hours have changed and dinner hours start at 5:00pm”. Really? So in the last 4 1/2 months you haven’t been able to update the website for accuracy? I even asked an employee since the door was unlocked and he confirmed hat they don’t open until 5. So since this place was recommended and we have a tradition of getting hibachi after we do our taxes we decided to travel the 40+ miles from home to come here, only makes sense that we wait in the parking lot for 40 minutes. Finally the door opens, we walk in, and we’re asked if we have a reservation. What? Nothing on the website said we needed a reservation. We could not be seated, even after I pleaded and told my story of the long drive, the inaccurate website and the 50 minute wait for them to open. Nope, the lady tells me that she had a server walk out and we needed a reservation which she was happy to give me if I wanted to wait another 90 minutes! Are you kidding me?The outdoor appearance is definitely lacking curb appeal so maybe this is a sign that the cleanliness is poor throughout. I know the bathroom was not clean but I didn’t get the chance to see anything else.Needless to say, we will never go here. If you can’t have an accurate website, just don’t have one. If you didn’t have one then we would have called and probably been given these details.

We visited Fujiyama steak house in April 2021 during lunch hour. Food was delicious and the chefs presentation was great too, but the place was a bit a dark and may need some upkeep. Will visit again soon.

Food was decent 4 people no alcohol drinks and it was 106 before tip.Place is dark.. for a reason... About tripped twice on way to bathroom.. carpet is loose And coming up... Looks like same carpet and ceiling tiles from 30+ years ago...No updates in a long time.. I wouldnt want to see it in good lighting...Be prepared to see lots of buckets sitting around with water In them.. guessing a leaky roof...

I use to love this place. The service and the quality of the food has gone way down hill. Also took 45 minutes to seat us for this dinner. Our food was very over cooked and flavorless. The chief put all the food on at one time. Chicken, steak, lobster, shrimp, veggies, rice. Only seasoning he put on was A TON of butter, something that looked like soy and some sprinkles from something in a shaker. The chief also cooked 3 to go orders while cooking our dinner. So sad this place has went so down hill.

Fujiyamas is one of the best Japanese restaurants because of its ambiance. Ive been coming here for over 30 years! It feels like youre in a Japanese garden in Japan. Over the years, the place has gotten a bit run down looking. I wish the owners would put some lights outside and spruce it up. If they put a little more work into up keeping it, this could be a real gold mine! Its too dark inside, they need to clean the aquariums and light them up so people can see them and really doll the place up. The food is delicious and everything else is wonderful! It just needs a face lift! Please consider upgrading the place. I love it here! I dont want it to ever close up😥❤

Got seated right away and the food was good. Felt a little rushed although not crowded. I went again and noticed a family of at least 7 came in without masks as required and no one said a word. Many customers noticed and walked out. I was somewhat uncomfortable waiting in the lobby with them. I would say the food was good and didnt feel rushed this time

Best Japanese Hibachi restaurant - anywhere! Weve moved out of state, but any time we return, we make an effort to eat at Fujiyama. Their salad dressing and seafood sauce are the best nationwide! Clean. Friendly. After coming for over 20 years - the quality is still spot-on!

I usually enjoy the food here for the most part. However last time I went the food was BLAND! I dont know if the chef was new but he definitely did not use enough butter, soy sauce and seasonings while cooking and it showed in his food. It will be awhile before I go back.

Fun place to eat with a group of people and/or your kids. The food is cooked in front of you on a large griddle. Its pricey, but you go for the show as well as the food. They offer a Deal for 2 people and Groupon offers coupons for this place, as well. I ordered the Filet Mignon w/Lobster & I wouldnt do that again!! Its the most costly & sadly, the Lobster just doesnt taste at its best when cooked this way; so save your $. The scallops were large & delicious, prepared this way, Id order that combo instead, next time. Oh & whatever you do order...Be sure you also order the Egg Sauce this Japanese Pancake is to die for!! Its served on top of any portion of your plate, put it in top of your steak!!

They were out of some normal veggies and did not like the mouse I saw running round. My heart is sad. I loved coming to this place and I have a lot of childhood memories of here but I will not be back 😞. I hope one day they restore it so its safe to come back. I will miss Fujiyama.Also what do you intend to do about all the mice seeing that Im not the only one who has seen it

Service was friendly but for the quality and amount of food, it’s way overpriced. $22 for the a little plate of a few scallops? It tasted very bland. You can get better meal in any mediocre Chinese restaurants in town. The bowl of soup used to be better quality, but now it looks like leftover dishwasher water.

The interior has seen better days, but the food is very good. There are also frequently coupons on DiningAdvantage.com that cause Fujiyama to be more affordable than other Japanese steakhouses.

We had eaten at Fujiyama in WV. The building itself is its twin. Staff was friendly, food was good and plentiful.

1st time here with my husband and our oldest granddaughter. I got scallops, my husband and granddaughter went with the filet mignon. We all enjoyed our chef Matt he did a fantastic job 👍 Well be back!!!

My boyfriend and I are regulars here. The hostess is always super friendly and welcoming. There is never a very long wait time, max weve had to wait is 5-10 mins. The staff is extremely friendly, especially Tony. He is so kind and so funny :) The food is always great and the chefs are all so nice. I will say I am a huge fan of the egg yolk sauce. Its the best Ive ever had and not runny and oily like some other places Ive had it at. All in all we recommend this place to anyone we know. Thank you!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

They messed up our reservation and lied that no one had showed up when there were actually part of our crew inside and had been served. Tried to let them know that some of our guests arrived on time and had been served inside but the staff and manager were so rude. Thought I’d support an AAPI business during this AAPI month but I had a terrible experience and never returning!!

It was just ok. Portions were small, meat was overcooked. Our chef was a newbie and very inexperienced and had a boring personality. Way overpriced for what you get. Used a Groupon and still paid almost $50 not including the tip. Not worth it at all.

Place is absolute garbage. Waited for 20 minutes before even being served drinks and 45 minutes of being here and still no one has come out to start the food. There is no one else even in the restaurant so service has no reason to be this bad.

This place is real particular with reservations. They allow 10 ppl per reservation. It took 3 calls to finally make reservations, management was unclear with coupons. Cook was great. Recommend for couples using groupon.

My sister found a groupon and we went. Its not as festive as ypu would think. However the food was the bomb except they are not pros at making the steak. I ask for medium well and almost broke a tooth, smh.

Has been a favorite since I was a kid. Will always come back :)

Service was amazing! Thank you, for that. However, the food was gross. The chief didn’t know how to cook, my rice wasn’t all the way done, I bit into some uncooked rice, the steak and vegetables didn’t have no taste to it at all. The salad was watery. Only thing that was good was the service from the waitress and the strawberry daiquiri. I won’t be returning here, and this was my first time trying it out cause I had a Groupon.

This establishment is completely trash! I came in for my 21st birthday and the waitresses are very forgetful and not attentive to their customers. The manager is no better, one of the waitresses spilled a drink on me and tried to excuse it by saying there is something wrong with the servers eye. As a customer I feel very disrespected and will be contacting the higher ups of this establishment because this is completely unacceptable.

We enjoy going to Fujiyama everytime we go. Yes. The wait was extremely longer this time but they were short staffed so I will forgive that. The food and service is always great. The Groupon we used is always a wonderful touch on the budget of four😊😊😊

This place looks like a dump from the outside and inside. Doesnt seem to be upgraded since the early 80s. This is place still has the corny fish tank tables, wheelie chairs from the 80s Dennys, coil fish pond inside with no fish. No ventilation for the smoke that occurs at cooking which will explain the sagging ceiling tiles, smokey hazy environment, and why you come out smelling like smoke once your done. Quality of food is ok, but nothing special, not a big menu selection either. Im not from Ohio, so maybe the locals are ok with this, but I would stay away.

This is one of the best Japanese steak houses in columbus. The people there are great and always treat you well there. The food it always good and cooked the way you like it.

It was my first time here. Ive had some better hibachi in Ohio. They dont serve sushi or green tea which is upsetting. The food was ok, and because of the virus the entertainment seemed lacking. We also didnt receive dessert with our imperial feast for two, because they were out. Our dinner neighbors didnt seem to like the food and began arguing with the servers and manger, to top off the whole experience.

We will never go back to this restaurant which is sad because we have gone here since I was in high school. The hostess was a young lady who was very short and rude when we arrived. She said do you have reservations I said no we never needed them before she said well we are a small business with 6 tables so you should have reservations your wait will be30 to 35min. I said your website doesnt say anything about reservations she said we dont have a website I said really hmm she just kept being rude and said something to me about white girl privilege I was appalled that the owners would let someone like her at the hostess stand. She also said her dad has been the manager there for20yrs so once she said that I knew I couldnt even say anything to a manager about her behavior. So sad this place has someone in the front of the house like this. WE LEFT AND WENT TO SAKURI across from Easton such pleasant staff and the food was awesome.

Always friendly staff and good food

Too salty and poor service.Our server was very nice however our drinks ran out 3x. I had to call her over more than once for a refill. They forgot half our meat from our meal AND our dessert... They did discount our bill but the food we were served was EXTREMELY salty. It wasnt the soy sauce, it was the 2nd or 3rd time our chef salted our meat and rice. The best part of the meal was the mushrooms and salad.

I come here a lot, I literally get the same thing, lunch special and veggies, ($7.51) so when the bill came it was more.. the server told me I ordered extra veggies.. no I did not.. so then she said they charge $2 onions$2 zucchini.. since when.. not to mention I had to get up and get my own water.. I understand being short staffed but this service was not good today.. now my card was rang 3x’s
