One of the oldest student hostels in BUET. There are CC cameras here and there. However, they are not enough to provide complete security as many laptops and bicycles are stolen. The bathrooms and latrines are washed in a regular basis. Again, the canteen is one of the worst in terms of taste of the foods. It has a common room and mosque as usual. It also has saloon where the price is quite low. Theres a shoe repairer who usually sits beside the entrance gate. The environment is quite good, usually remains very much quiet (except perhaps when cricket or football matches going on). The flower gardens are maintained by the caretakers and are very clean.

Bangladesh University of Engineering Technology (Buet) Sher-e-Bangla hall Provost Dr Zafar Iqbal Khan has resigned.Buet Teachers Association President Dr AKM Masud disclosed the matter to the students on Wednesday.Buet students are continuing their protest, demanding justice for Abrar.Abrar Fahad, a second year student of electrical and electronic engineering department of the university, was beaten to death on Monday.

One of the oldest hall in Buet. The overall environment is satisfactory. The entire area is under cctv coverage. The food quality in the student dining needs to be improved.
