Fantastic lunchtime food, the portions are so big I was too full to go back to work
My most favorite restaurant in the city! The food is the best tasting food around - the Indonesian / Thai combo is fantastic for anyone wanting a delicious and inexpensive meal. Their homemade sambal is very spicy, so be careful if you dont enjoy too much spice! The restaurant is as authentic as you can get in Christchurch.
I had fried rice with fried chicken and 2 curries. I think they use lots of coconut milk for curry therefore can not eat lots of food with curry other than that always food taste great. Can select curries according to your taste. Next time I’m going to choose 3 times fried chicken.
Best halal food ever..
Beat bali thai food in Entire world
Purchased food here last night. Service was good but the food wasnt that great. The Pad Thai had far too much sauce added to it. Was quite disappointed
This is one of good Thai restaurant. The price is much cheaper than other Thai restaurant. And the taste is really good as well. Nowadays the have renovated the interior as well. The food court is very tidy and clean at this moment.
I had Red curry & randng. They were so yummy.
Overcharged ($49 for 3 meals- guy is going to come back to us tomorrow on this) and given small sized lunch containers for what we thought were meal sized dinners , then bagged so didnt know till we got home. Not only that , dishes didnt even fill the lunch sized containers. Very upset with this crew. Buyer beware ...dont go shopping at countdown like we did and come back for pick up. Watch or you might get ripped
Great food! Great taste! Great people. A destination of choice whenever you want to have your south east asian palate satisfied.
Very nice Indonesian food served in a food court setting. Usually busy with staff and students from the Ara institute of Canterbury.
Food was good for the price, I didnt even realize there was a food court at the side of the Countdown.
Very friendly staff and awesome food value for money.
Green curry 😋
My fav in the whole food court... Good food for reasonable price
Loved it. Best food
The staff and the food are really nice, great price for great taste
14 November 2018 - I was having lunch at this food court with my kids. I had been wanting to try since I read the positive reviews on Google Maps and now I know why 🤔. This food court is hidden on the side of Countdown Supermarket and only visible from Madras Street. It is directly opposite to Ara Institute. There are two entrances, and both will lead directly into this food court area. This eatery is located at the far end of the building 🏢 and is owned by the two sisters 👭. There are plenty of choices to choose from; rice or noodle options, dry or soup based dishes, finger food and many more including economy rice - check the Wikipedia. They also sell cold drinks such as ice ❄️ lemon tea, ice milk tea... etc. and I do recommend that you have a try (delicious 😋).I ordered a #10 Special stir-fry flat noodle (chicken) with extra spicy and #6 Chicken satay noodle soup for one of my kids. Both dishes came with a good 👍 portion size and very satisfying 😁. I had the special chicken stir-fry flat noodle dish and it was delish 😋😍. It is similar to char kway teow (a popular noodle dish in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Indonesia). Generous amount of noodles and chicken pieces. The only thing I dont really like was the vegetables; I wish they could use brocoli or bean sprouts rather than corn kernels, diced carrots and green peas. But that is a small matter and doesnt affect the overall taste of this dish. This is a non licensed eatery. There is no outdoor area and smoking 🚬 is [definitely] not inside the building. There is onsite parking 🅿.They accept cash, EFTPOS and credit card payments (sadly, Paywave is not available), for those who want to know.Friendly staff. They smiled a lot 😁😊😆Would I go back? Yes 😏Would I recommend? Yes 😊 for a quick lunchFood: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Tasty and delicious 😋.Ambience: ⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. Clean and tidy. A typical food court setting.Price: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. Reasonably priced and affordable.
Yummy food. Nice staff
Warning to vegans and vegetarians they boil all noodles/rice in chicken broth. But the food is a very good example of thai cuisine and really yummy 😊
