Good place for buying goods under military personal..

3rd class services.. everything is running on cash basis...no one is doing there work properly without cash.. every person taking bribe from all the peoples who are coming there..they are doing fully froud with government and no one can stop them because from labour to higher level everyone is collapse with this.

This place is good for service person to get house hold products, bikes and Cars.

It is a depot not a canteen. You will not get grocery and liquor.

Good experience, it would be better if separate reception is arranged to clear the doubts and guide. Quantity of waiting chairs can be increased. ( People from other cities come as early as possible, here they follow token system). The applications will be accepted only from 10AM to 1PM. Overall experience is good.

I had gone to purchase a two-wheeler.Payment has to be made one day in advance. I dint know so I had to revisit. Since I was informed that office opens at 10 , I planned to reach by 9.30. When I reached at 9.15 , I was allowed a token no. 41 by one of the early bird. Had to wait till 1515 hrs to get my SO copy. Only one average restaurant nearby

For defence personal and ex servicemen, staff very cooperative...but the Manager should learn to communicate. At times really rude with senior citizens and ex servicemen... hopefully he understands he isnt the boss but working for a defence establishment..

They giving more respect to civil staffs than army serving soldiers retired and exs...They forget this is an army welfare..

Being to this place early and with required documents keeps u cool without wasting much time. It could be better if they provide a waiting hall instead of an open place where it becomes difficult to wait if that takes longer time.

Its located opp to theater in chitlapakkam.Better carry water bottle when u come here.Military persons will get best price for their needs like car bike and all home appliances

Officer in charge( Sikh by religion) is the most arrogant person , I have ever come across, when I requested him to allow me liquor from this canteen by registering my card at that canteen, he told me not to beg, as it doesnt look nice, but he cannot provided me liquor as well. When I requested him repeatedly, he told all ex-serviceman used to sell liquor outside. I emphasised that some in service person also do sell and by then I am working in Income tax department now and eventually every body has to retire one day. And my quota is only 4 bottles. I returned all bottles and was standing in queue for grocery items when one canteen staff asked me to go out. When I reentered his office in an aggressive manner and ask him to put it on paper that he wont allow me to take grocery. Then he told me that I was rude in behavior, dont know how to talk with an officer..blah..blah...I reminded him that I am also an officer, then his temper come down. Staffs are ok, but this officer will get a thing or two when we meet again

I went here with my uncle. This is the place where we can see the ex servicemen people. Still now they will be perfect in everything. But the one thing is many people are coming from far away place. So if they arrange some places in their building means it will be useful for them. The another one is like passport seva this canteen facility also can be opened in another part of Tamil nadu also. Salute to these warriors.

Very close to Tambaram sanatorium railway station.This place is reasonably well organized.Covered shed with seating available.The time taken to complete the job takes more time mainly due to large number of customers visiting everyday.The staff are helpful.The job can be done without any problem if the customer visits the concerned dealer/ supplier before coming to this place in order to clear any doubt about the documents required.

CANTEEN STORES DEPOT CHENNAI... Good place to submit indent forms by serving and retired personnels to the depot for purchasing Non AFD goods... such as two wheeler, car, washing machine, fridges, and other goods which can be booked and bought later

Its located at chitlapakkam opposite to varadaraja theatre. Though easily accessible it is not connected by public transport. Have to take auto from sanatorium station

Work depends upon their own mood, SoIf they had a bad morning its better for u to come the other day. Just call them before u visit !!! It saves u a lot of time

Go early by 6 am so that’ you can register ur name and complete application process before 1 pm. Near to tambaram sanitarium railway station... Reqd docs : Filled application form, bank passbook front and amount transaction page, Aadhar card, pan card, military id, discharge book. Payment of mode thru NEFT/RTGS ONLY. n payment should be made one day before only. Pls confirm purchase amount in CSD office before amount payment. Hope this ll help.

The staffs in the office seem to be unhappy when we go for inquiries.

Delayed response and improper facilitation of authorities. People here take a long time for clearance of request. Otherwise, it is neat.

The place needs refurbishment. There are so many visitors everyday contributing to the profit of the organization, but the basic amenities are very very poor. Needs a serious facelift according to the present standards.

Please carry Ur necessary documents when Ur trying to buy anything product with csd and csd accepts payments mostly thru NEFT / RTGS . and also its important to note that csd considers Ur NEFT / RTGS payments done before 1 or 2 days for the product ur going to purchase. Rules and regulations r strictly followed in csd so be prepared...

500 meters away from tambaram sanitorium. it will take much time to get the purchase order. Staff r helpful.

Only required to go here if you need to buy any higher products through dealer.. Crowded.. Advised to go by morning 8.30 and register your name.. As per the name registration need to stand in que. Atleast it will take 12 to get your purchase orders.. The watchmen are of government employees so you have to bear what they tell..

This is only depot, from here all the unit run canteens give there demands of there needs and collect the items and sell that on their canteens. It is located in chitlapakkam used for supply of electronic and grocery items for defence personal even they are on service or veterans. This is only depot you cant get the items here .

Gud place.but,order can be placed after 5hrs.pls,come earlier and register ur name in registration. Bcz,they are follow the register order.first come first bought.

They keep up their time.. Transaction time is from 10am to 1pm.. Better to go early (but u have to give ur name and wait outside).. But some (not all) staffs are rude.. If u go before 10am they ask u to wait outside the gate in a rude manner.. Get sign from the particular officer, take ur discharge book, take dd for ur specified product, know ur ppo no, take pan card and other Id proofs.. Then its simple.. If u wanna take pics of the items available u can go by 5 pm also..

There is no AFD transactions on the last and first day of the month

This is place where all the entitled Defence serving and ex service staff are getting privilege for consumer goods. As far as AFD items rate is concerned, the rates and the models, availability are quite often changed by the company and local agents. This is not in the depot purview. Certain inevitable inconvenience and delay are taken place.

No one answers the phone and you should always ready to go in order to check availability of items etc

Currently its not working due to GST. Have to wait for another 10 to 15 days to shop normally.
