Located at the junction of velachery and taramani.. 800m away from bus stop... Parking for two wheeler and four wheeler are available... Auto rickshaw is there all the time... No shops inside station..

Journey cost 10rs with return. Easy access to temple town mylapore,chennai citi centre and marina beach ,light house ,cheppakkam stadium from here. Its operation sometime canceled during Sundays. Happy journey

Perungudi Metro station...It connects Velachery to Chennai Beach route.Near from Bharati nagar bus stop.

Large construction which is far from main road. Though the station is named as perungudi it is easily accessible from Baby Nagar, Velechary. Only one gate is operational and second gate is closed for long time. Police security is seen sometimes. Shelter parking space available but not advisable to leave vehicles overnight.

One of the best things in Chennai is MRTS. If youre planning to go out to the important places such as Marina beach, light house, mylapore , Riche street, central Station and Thiruvanmiyur(Tidel park) then this route will be the best option for you. Dont worry about the Traffic, U r in safe hands if you are taking local trains. You have frequent trains (15mins).

Many peoples do not know this Perungudi MRTS Station. It is in between valachery and Taramani. Frequently trains goes in this station. From Perungudi to bharathi Nagar bus stop it takes 10 mins through walk, Same time as baby Nagar. Cleanness is good in station, parking facility is there, two lifts is there. Good response from staff. From Beach to Valachery it contains some main stops like chepak, thirumayali, light house, Kasturba Nagar(madhya kailas) , Taramani. If we want to avoid traffic in chennai travelling in local trains is best option. 😍 🚂

Location is calm n peace....but only problem is the access to main road which is obvious...if u r alone..then u need to walk to main road or ur home nearby without relying on the stationed Auto walas, as they charge higher than cabs...

Perungudi or Velachery? Trains did not stop here earlier.Like Tharamani this is also Auto-walas Heaven.

This MRTS is near to IIT Madras Krishna Gate (1km). But if you are coming in evening time then finding an auto will be very difficult outside the station. It is also not safe during late evening.

Good and less traffic station! But the constructions were all damaged.

Not well maintained. Unsafe when dark.....to add more trouble, there is a new TASMAC open near the westen end of this MRTS station. :-(

Worst maintenance..... its contain 4 big building... 3 building totally waste...one of the unsafe place...

Security needs need be increased as both gents and ladies use this MRTS - Perungudi Railway station; it is in the centre of OMR and has markets in around the station.
