Recently after second wave of corona, the staffs were changed and were rude to the customers, old taste of food has vanished, menu rates not updated, creating billing discrepancies. In short J.R Jana has lost its faith in customers. They just getting old customers in hope of having a nice meal, but in vain.

Veg food at this restaurant is very good.. The one thing we look for these days is hygiene and one can find it here. Good varieties in veg dishes. Varieties for breakfast, lunch and dinner is served here. Ive dined in as well as some take aways. Never regretted even once. Would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a veg restaurant in this area.

Neat hotel. Some dishes are bit oily. Make sure to inform the waiter to use less oil if you are going to order like Kal dosa, Rava dosa etc. It is a decent vegetarian hotel. I would recommend asking for hot water which is good when you consume food with some oil.

If you prefer quantity over quality then this is most suitable place in the area. This restaurant is one of the oldest in this area hence the decor and seating looks quite old. Service and hospitality is quite good.

Food quality was so bad. Also if we complain response is we will take care of it next time. They dont want to talk about the current situation and not cared of the customer

Taste is very good. Rate is very cheap. Services is awesome they give high priority for kids. Ambiance is awesome all service persons are nice and sweet.

Order food in swiggy . Very worst food and packaging .we received mix veg rice was not cooked well then panner Veechu paratha look like thick normal paratha not cooked properly . Please dont order food .

Attended a function in the party hall recently. The entrance and the lift is so narrow and small. Cleanliness is minimal. Food is above average.

Pros:Located on velachery to tambaram road, this restaurant has a decent parking facility both on its premises and nearby the restaurant. Infrastructure is good. I went for idly, idiappam, panneer gobi masala dosai and coffee. Coffee was really good, taste of other dishes were also good. Coconut chutney was the best one among the side dishes, I did not like the tomato/kara chutney, sambar was average in taste.Cons:The restaurant is not well organized. Placement of tables makes it difficult to walk especially when the crowd is more. Water cup which was initially provided to me was a dirty one(I was surprised how this cup was placed along with the other washed cups in the table). Plates were not been taken away after I had the food, so I kept pushing the places to one side. Wash room cleanliness was above average where the tissue dispenser was empty. Insufficient supervisors and waiters make the dining experience bad especially when the crowd is more.Overall I had an average experience in the restaurant.

Serves for value for money food. The experience is usually good. However in my 10+plus visits I have seen people fighting at least 3 times due to lack of planning by hotel management.

Very renowned and old hotel in Sembakkam area. Vegetarian can get more varieties here. Service and ambience are good. High chairs and clean maintenance. Enough parking space in the front. Accepting cards but no phonepe or google pay or Amazon pay or paytm. Vegetarian must try here.

I have been eating at this hotel for more than a year but the taste has dropped from during lockdown stop continuing. If you get parcel even for a idli they will give first preference to swiggy order and then to you. It will take min of 20 mins to deliver it.One advantage is no veg hotels near by thats why people are dining.

Taste and price wise good

Stands as the only top restaurant in the Sembakkam locality. Ordered a Falooda here and almost took 25 mins to deliver it. This ambience looks nice, but the place is little tight... South Indian receipe is the popular receipe in the restaurant...

We went for morning breakfast with family. Ordered poori and rava onion dosa. Poori was just like puffy papad. A kid can easily eat 4 plate of those poori and would still feel hungry. Rava onion is a total disaster. never ever order rava onion here. All you get is a soggy maida dosa and chopped raw onion...

Due to Covid situation, the place is seen deserted. I like the food in thos hotel when tried before , as ever it was good, tried fried idly today, wow what a taste. This is the first time am happy idly eating in the hotel. 😂😀😀😀. It was really good. Try it yourself. . .

Need to improve the quality of food. I ordered poori this evening but I got very thin one with heavy oil. I asked the waiter to check, he told this how we prepare. Even I had a very good poori in Jana east tambaram branch. But I dont know whats the problem.. management need to pay more attention on customers.

A very good restaurant for middle class. Its a pure veg hotel. Food joint for Forced bachelors and home like food lovers can visit this place. The menu has lot to serve with very reasonable pricing. I prefer this place to have my quick lunch and evening supper. Highly recommended.
