Its a very huge indoor auditorium and any big events of the college mostly occur here. Its full air-conditioned with wooden floors and has a two-level seating. This is the place where most Btech. students spend their life since most of the extra-cirricular activities like dance, yoga, etc., are conducted here. Except when theres any event happening here, the seating place is used as a indoor badminton court. Its very well maintained. Its temporarily closed due to the covid pandemic.

We went to attend Isai Gnani Ilayaraaja event on March 23r.Auditorium was well maintained.Speakers in the hall was not good.

It’s the heart of the IIT MADRAS , it’s always busy with some extracurricular activities rest of the time it’s a badminton courts . It’s a huge place with well seating plan . The stage is big for drama even . It has step type seating for students and flat chairs seating for special guests . It’s fully air conditioned. Accessible for wheelchair also . It has rehearsal or make rooms too, just besides the stage .

Many student activities happen here. Major place for organizing convocation and Institute day function and Many other functions and parties. During morning and evening, it serves as a indoor stadium for badminton. Badminton matches goes on till midnight here but one should take prior Badminton club membership for playing. Four badminton courts available for playing.
