If you are looking for a party of about 75 - 100 people, for a 3 hour event, you can go for it. Otherwise you can ignore this place. (read more)In my experience, rent of this hall is expensive considering its size and location. Murthy restaurant party hall which is bigger than this charges only half of Ameer Mahals rent.I have recently booked the hall for my sons naming ceremony for which they charged me ₹10500 including cleaning charges. Remember this charge excludes balloon decoration and power supply. For power supply they charge ₹20/unit which is very expensive.Once you conduct any event here, you will understand this is not at all a professional party hall. This is a hall running by an individual property owner. Im listing all my negative experiences over this place :-1. No parking. There is no signs of parking at all. You can hardly park around 10 two wheelers in the narrow street which the hall is located on. Apart from this, no parking space. Dont even think about driving your car here.2. Narrow gateways. It will be very painful to take a Briyani deksha into the hall, since the pathway is too narrow. After a long struggle, we carried the deksha. But we could not take it into the serving room. Finally, we started serving from the entrance of the hall.3. Extra time charges. The initial rent paid for the hall is only for three hours. There is a note saying that ₹500 is chargeable for additional hours. But beyond an hour, the owner is charging the rent for half a day. i.e., ₹4000. Our event started at 10 am and ended at 2:30 pm. For the additional 1:30 hours he asked me to pay ₹4000. After bargaining for sometime he reduced it to ₹2500, however i do not see it as a friendly approach !4. Power supply charges. Generally halls will charge ₹10 - 15/unit. But here they charge ₹20/unit. Also reading has been taken the previous night itself, as they consider the power supply used to clean the hall is chargeable. Pathetic.5. DJ. This one is the most pathetic experience. The hall has speaker system and a computer from where songs can be played. I asked the owner whether we can bring custom songs in pen drive, for which he said OK. I have prepared a handpicked unique playlist as it is my sons naming ceremony and handed over the pen drive to the owner to play it. This Nigga considered himself as a DJ and started skipping songs which he doesnt like. Any song, he will play only up to a minute and skips to the next song. After a stage, he started playing songs from his own collection. Beyond a point, I could not digest this and asked him to stop playing songs.6. Space. As I said earlier, this place is only for events up to 75 - 100 members. Exact capacity of dining hall is 38 people. And the dining hall is too narrow to serve. For an event of 100, you have to conduct three rounds of dining. Probably, people will get frustrated and start leaving your event without having food.7. Sign boards. The property owner does not have appropriate sign boards for events. In my case he only had one readymade board for naming ceremony, which he placed in the stage. Apart from stage, he didnt place any boards in the hall entrance downstairs. Also he has only English alphabets available to construct names. I have managed to name my son in Tamil, but I could not mention the same with Tamil fonts because of this halls negligence.
